    Hehe, yeah I know this one. Problem is after your impressionable girlfriend looks at you in awe, a minute or two goes by and she starts to realize I can't REALLY play anything else than this and a few kiddie songs, fragments of songs... then finally, I have to admit "I'm really a bass player."

    I recently got a Breedlove and I think it is the best acoustic I have played.

    • @MakeLifeExtraordinary
      @MakeLifeExtraordinary 7 месяцев назад +2

      Breedlove is a highly underrated company. I have a Breedlove, pro series, 6 string acoustic electric… Breedlove acoustic electric bass Breedlove pro series 12 string. The sound coming out of all of them is incredible, especially the 12 string… the sound is like nothing I ever heard before… Almost sounds like an acoustic guitar on steroids in Dolby surround. I’ve become a huge fan of acoustic electric bass guitars over the past few years. Simply because, I can pick it up and start playing some random notes, come up with a catchy bass line and build the song around it.
      Not having to plug-in and the ability to walk around the neighborhood with it at 3 AM and create the beginnings of a song to be. Same thing goes for the six and 12 string acoustics. Just an overall joy to play. The same or better quality than a Martin at a fraction of the cost. I actually sold my Martin 12 string after playing the Breedlove… It just had an overall better, more dynamic and fuller sound. With incredible low end, nice, mid range, and a sharp, high-end, without any twang or tinge. It just sounds like you’re playing three or four guitars at a time.
      Heavenly is the only way I can describe it. Same thing with the six string and ‘slapping da bass, mon’. LoL. definitely a great video. Keep doing what you do and enjoy every second of every day, like it’s your last.

    I’ve played a Crafter bowl-back (FX-550EQ) for many years and love the way it cuts through… but my ‘goto’ acoustic is an old Walden D350 that I put ball-end classical strings on - and I play that one about 70% of the time - for jazz and blues!

    Don’t buy an acoustic until you check out Seagulls line. Solid wood, hand crafted with Godin electronics. Sweet, sweet sound that I would compare with ANY upper end guitar. Reasonably priced as well. Wouldn’t trade my 10 year old SWS Maritime series for another. Superior right out of the box. Worth your consideration

    Great sounding lick. :) My go to for acoustic is Taylor hands down. I am blessed to own a Grand Auditorium. It is electric as well, made from solid Mahogany including the neck and white sapele top. All solid wood not veneer. This build utilizes a brand new "V" bracing system from the age old "X" system which fixes an intonation issue which has plagued the "X" brace system since it's beginning and allows the top to vibrate freely. It has huge sound and superb electronics. Each string has a mic in the bridge. I honestly fell in love immediately.. lol Cheers :)
