i always like when you teach us^^ sorry for my bad english
I am still very much so a beginner. I can play chords I know a song or two, but your Tricks have really helped me feel like I am progressing.
Awesome stuff! So glad you enjoy!
Another great one! Thanks Tony!
My pleasure!
Thanks Tony, I love learning the options and how you teach! In this case though the resulting options sound so much thinner than the open chords so I would use them as secondary options where another player is playing the full open chord. The options are also trickier to get right with the muting fingering and my arthritis so they actually are harder for me to play correctly. I appreciate learning these options though tremendously! Thanks!
Yeah I get it totally. These are just for something a wee bit different to play but even I struggle
Sometimes with the minor shape.
Great video on using chord variations that still serve the melody for making it more dynamic.
Thanks man!
Keep banging them out Tony, I know you are helping all who watch your videos gain confidence. Cheers.
Thanks again my friend
For such a short video, it is very insightful. Thank you as always, Tony. Your a proper legend mate. Love your sense of humour
Thanks again my friend! Really appreciate your support on the channel 🤘
You always make tips and tricks easy!
Aw thanks man!
Nice one Tony! Very helpful mate!
Thank you 🙏
Awesome thanks Tony”
Thanks man!
bet this sounds cool on electric. damn wish i had an electric. thanks tony!
You’re very welcome my friend
What a lesson 😊
I have short stubby fingers and I'm practicing this
Keep playing
Always enjoy what you do 🎶
I find this chord shape is not easy to play. Laying the index finger flat enough to play the 5th string but mute both the 4th and third string also brings the middle finger down so that it muffles the 5th string. Raise the middle finger to a steeper angle and the 3rd string starts to sound.
However it is forviving with these chords G, C and D as they allsound good if the muting is only partially sucessful(the D chord bcomes a Dsus4 if the G stringsounds). If you want to get a B chord with this voicing though, you need to get the fingering exactly spot on.
I have exactly the same problem. I'll try to solve this first, but I very much doubt if I'll ever be able to do it right.
Nice lesson what signature Martin are you playing here ? Just bought my first Furch it is a red series rosewood / Sitka OM size must say it is amazing in all aspects take care thanks for all your hard work
Hey Mark! It’s an OMJM. The most comfortable guitar I’ve played!
@@GuitarME yea there awesome I played one awhile back I have had 2 of the Clapton but neck is way different on it a bit wider and a significant V take care
Octaves, used a lot by the foo 's , sounds cool though. , really enjoying this , can't wait for the 'D' chord. That is an awesome chord to move around , plus all the triads it opens up.
Got something coming later :)
nice man i wanna play your guitar, is that a john mayer martin?
It sure is mate
What model Martin is that, Tony?
It’s an OMJM :)
me and you sir are about TO become good friends,
