Andrea, you’re a force to be reckoned with. Great job.
You know the rule! If you do anything even remotely close to a home improvement/construction project in your home, the project will grow, and grow, and grow!! You handled it very well, and did a great job. 😃
Andrea your talent, knowledge and work ethic are bar non and Dean your antics and humor had me laughing out loud...you guys are the best thank you for the bonus episode..I could get used to this! OH and this project anyone else exhausted? anyone? just me then? hahaha
Yup! I'm off to bed! So much fun and really wore me to the bones. See you next week!
I love that you guys put in the bad things and not just always the good things like everybody else does on RUclips. Great job.
Andrea, you are an inspiration, and I love your relationship with Dean! Some husbands would be threatened by your mad skills, believe me. Dean, you are doing a fabulous job filming and editing and I really enjoy your sense of humor! You both rock! ❤❤
So much work! And to think that it just started as channel for rehabilitating forgotten furniture.. Amazing job you two 👍🏼
I just started getting into furniture flipping. I came across your channel a few weeks ago and fell in LOVE, not only with the level of excellence from projects, to channel production, but with the beautiful relationship you two share. It's inspirational. One night, after feeling like a failure as a husband, father, and all around human, I turned on your channel to soak up some levity and inspiration before bed. As I watched your recent Q & A, a desire have what you two have in your marriage was stirring. Not to say that my wife and I have a bad relationship, we don't, but as a recent convert to Christianity, God has been speaking to me about serving my wife and putting her dreams before my own. Dean, you exemplify this beautifully! You two are a TEAM! And that is what I want more than anything for us! I thought to myself, "They have to be Christians." But apart from emailing them and just plain asking them, how could I be sure? I pulled up your "Furniture Flips" playlist and there it was. Number 27 in the playlist. An IHOP KC set. Not sure it was intentional on your part, but I'm certain it was on God's! I love these little "Winks" from our savior letting us know he is still intimately involved in the intricacies of our lives. Anyway, I just thought I should share this with you two, and let you know that God is using you in more ways than you may realize.
Thank you and God bless you.
Ryan Pellegrine
Wow, that is so encouraging to hear Ryan, thanks for sharing! Yes, we do love the Lord and yes we commonly have worship on as we work :)
Ryan God bless you and your wife. May He hear your prayers and answer.
That was a very kind and beautiful thing to say.
I enjoy watching the journey of your house. GOOD ENDING 😝😂
Love your projects and you two as a family. Strong husband & wife bond, just lovely!
Anyone else loving that we can see the finished door behind them the entire episode? 😍😍
Yeah, the one before was the "dry run" also the winner.
How would you like to change places with her. Never know what you might change places with her? I know I wouldn't and I have 8 years commercial construction under my belt and would still be surprised if I were her.
My hat goes off to her, changed any doors lately?
Real - in every way. That’s what makes your content so enjoyable. You kicked butt getting that job done.
This turned out bigger than war n peace…but u didn’t give up 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Dean is just hilarious "spraying whipped cream" the guy is just too funny, this was definitely a project once started there was no going back, looks good so far, cant wait for the next video from you two 🙂lots of love from the UK xx
You seriously need a workshop! And you’re so talented
People who can make putting in a new door so entertaining to watch. . . Priceless!
Andrea, you are a work horse you never stop....and Dean you are too funny!!!!!
Retrofitting doors is so hard! It’s really better to start over with reframing! Nice work!
Thank you for sharing what is real about remodeling, the nightmares! I can so relate to that. Your skill, persistence and humor are AMAZING and inspiring.
Andrea you amaze me with everything that you tackle. Even though you were sure of how to install the door, you made it look so easy! Thank you Dean for editing out the ramblings of Andrea (jk). I think us women can be chatty when we try to explain something. But it is all good and I loved your video this week!
Loved Loved LOVED this video. Andrea's skill never ceases to amaze me. Reframing a front door! Hanging the door and getting it square! And on and on. And Dean, your humor thrown in had me cracking up. Thank you both so much for all the work and time that goes into making these videos. They are a treat to watch and an inspiration to get going on our own home make over projects. Thank you!
Good job kids. Don't be afraid to flip your sawsall blade around. Lets you get closer to the ground at a flatter angle.
I’m actually about to change out my back door and I’m so glad you showed everything so I can know that there might be issues ahead of time!
Holy cow, buy that woman a rolling table for that saw!
Wow!! Sometimes you can never predict the barriers you’ll come across in a project, but you handled it all like a pro!! Great team work. Love how your boys have inherited Dean’s funny genes LOL.
I don't think anyone has ever installed a door in less than an hour. We made the horrific choice to buy just the door slab recently and it took us literal weeks to put it in. One day was spent cutting it down because the dimensions were wrong. Another day full of hinge drama. It's still not perfect but it's up lol. Your friend Tyler is a god for loving to install doors!
Amazing!!! Definitely makes me think twice about replacing my door though, but with a one year old and no help definitely makes the project longer than it needs to be.
Can i suggest the next project be a work mobile work table for the miter saw?😂
Andrea is a BAD ASS AWESOME Contractor!!in AWW!!
Incredible the talent that you have Andrea. PS: the best ice cream ever created 😍
Even though if it's not perfectly accurate based on the original plan, if you are skillful and talented enough, you can still make a way to execute the task. You guys are so amazing in this field. 🔥🔥
Love your videos! Just one tip. When you start a new tube of caulk you might not need a scissors or knife. There’s a hole on the side of the gun that you stick the tip of the tube in then “pull the trigger” and it cuts the tip off. Who knows maybe not all caulk guns are the same but the ones I’ve used have always had that.
Awesome job really well done. I will say this but this is exactly why professionals charge alot to do stuff like this people should realise you are paying for their time, speed and knowledge. This is the other option but and you did a great job it's always fun to learn by doing it yourself well it is to me anyway. Keep up the awesome work.
Great job! And the plants are still alive! 😅👏👏👏🤗
You guys are so inspiring! We enjoy your videos so much. Thank you for sharing your time and talent!! 🤗
I’m so glad you showed all the “uh ohs!" I always get so down on myself when my projects go sideways. Do you also end up bruised from head to toe? I’m currently sporting a massive set of bruises on my outer thigh from slipping off the counter while fighting the fridge into place along with several smaller bruises from replacing outlets and hiding tv cables.
Watching you guys always makes me happy. Thanks for posting, and great editing !
Ugh. Just put new composite door jambs in my 5 year old shed shop by scratch this last weekend. The old door was a pre-hung Jeld-wen with horrible cheapo pine wood door frame material installed 5 years ago. The frame completely was rotted out and I discovered water issues on the sub floor when I pulled out the door frame. The door is fine and insulated, so kept that. Dried out the floor with a heat gun, primed with mold resistant primer from a bathroom remodel. Put in an aluminum door sill pan, stretch tape and the composite door jambs from Lowes. Took me 2 full days doing it alone, but have it dialed in. Tonight is the outside trim and door sill. Not bad for a 58 year old woman. Never give up. Can't recommend the composite door jambs enough. Also, since you are ripping it all out, do the aluminum sill plate and stretch tape. There are two brothers on RUclips that show you how to do it right. Search for Perkins Building Brothers Door Flashing 101. I should never have to worry about replacing this again.
Please make some “non handy husband “ merch. It would fit my husband perfectly 😂😂😂
Manifesting a Lowes sponsorship for you in the future!
We have a 10 pm noise ordinance. Which nobody that I know has had any problems. Our neighbors a long with us, have done plenty of late night projects! Lol.
Great job Andrea! You would think installing a door is easy, for some reason, at least at my house, it's an all day thing! lol You're not alone, but you did great! ❤
use the old door. Cut in half to make 90 angle. Add shelfs to it. Paint old white color etc. Makes a nice farmhouse style look for a corner with shelfing. Keep the door handles on to of extra added antique touch.
Y’all are the cutest couple♥️ Andrea you are amazing! Just the fact that a couple of times you said “that’s an easy fix”. It all looks hard to me!
Our front door was installed crappy like that, only difference is we actually paid someone to do it! My husband was furious when we found it in the process of installing new trim. You did a great job changing gears when the project scope expanded.
Favorite line: “and of course having a giant hole in the front of our house added extra motivation.”
Not ganna lie I was hoping it would take a turn for the worst 😅😂 I needed to see what my door project would look like, and now it definitely looks realistic to what I should expect!
Thank you 😂 for tackling this alone, I really needed to see this one through! ❤ you two did amazing!
You guys are superstars!
You guys are so inspiring! Now we know why Andrea doesn’t talk, Her Hubby cuts it!
🤣
My wife and I fully enjoy your videos..... but damn it Andrea can you build Dean a chop saw cart. 🤣🤣 He struggles so much with that thing. P.S. keep up the great work.
It's already done! ...video to come!
OMG the bathroom, I want to cry
I so look forward to your videos. Andrea, awesome as always. Dean, you are hilarious. Love the new door
I’m so excited for the next video I love these kind of projects!!!
Mini van paid actor
I guess it depends on where you live or what you watch but I didn't see that as a 'Texas Star' door, I saw it as a 'Captain America's shield' door! 😅
You are just awesome. You can do anything
I feel your pain with more than you anticipated projects! Shoot, that's brutal!
I was in a car accident recently, got concussion and about 2 days later, knowing I couldn't do much, I decided to do an easy project. I removed the door knob and lock to spray paint them. I didn't think about how long they would take to dry nor even think about "how to" repeat the process of putting back - what I took apart! ARGH! And I couldn't go to bed until I put them back! I McGuyver'ed a solution because my concussed brain could NOT figure it out...until the next day!
Whoa! So impressed -- beautiful door. Can't wait to see the finished project!
Andrea. You are just incredible in what you can do! I was thinking you must have been so tired by the end of all that! Least you have Dean for comic relief! Lol.. I burst out laughing at him carrying the saw. 😂
I had no doubt, no doubt at all Andrea!
Great Job Andrea!
You go girl great job
Build a saw table on big as- wheels with shelves
Andrea, I just admire you so! I wish I could do what you do! You’re so patient with yourself, very admirable!
It never fails when you think it is and easy swap that's when thing go wrong. Door is beautiful. Good choice.
Andrea you are my hero and inspiration.
Dean is so funny to me!
I wish I were your neighbors!!! Such fun. Good luck to you guys!
OMGosh get a mobile stand for that saw! Your jewels will thank you!😂
The demo looks like fun. If I lived near you guys, I'd do that demo for you... for free hehehe
Great job Andrea. Doors are not easy! Looking forward to seeing it all finished 😀
You go girl!!!! What an amazing job!!! 🧡🍁🤎🍂💛
I feel your pain, but sometimes you just have to do it yourself and learn. Now a days people are too quick to just pay someone to do stuff for us when we should be self reliant. Next time it will be easier. Thanks for sharing.
Remodeling is "easy"... sorry, i was a General contractor, Door installs are NOT easy, and it is frequently frustrating. You guys do good work, thanks for sharing.
I can't wait for the finish project and I can't wait see what it is going to look like
Awesome Awesome Job!
lol i know the struggle of replacing a door on an old house. Nothing ever goes to plan and always takes way longer than anticipated.
Very impressive team DNA
The door look great love your videos the humor love it great job guys🥰
Oh my God you two are funny. We all need a Dean for the laughs and the goofy.
I love that door! Beautiful job!
Andrea, congratulations on another job well done with some kinks in-between. You're absolutely in control of what you're doing, so thumbs up and can't wait to see the finished door on the next video. 🚪
You two are just to funny!! Great job, and love the door choice 👍
Looks great! Why couldn't ypu trim the door to fit the hole? Just trying g to learn.
I almost choke laughed at "U act like I'm a silly goose"! 😂 U all are hysterical!
Love you guys 😁
My husband replaced our outside doors several years ago.
He is a master carpenter.
He said next time he would just tear the house down and leave the door.
Pain in the behind, times 20 !
😆
The new door is gorgeous
That was the funnest comment of the whole video “that steak sure is tough 🥩 “
I’m the official funniest comment declarer of DIY WIFE!!!
OMG! You guys are above and beyond! Amazing! I know she's amazing, but an all nighter? Wow, you too hubby! Wow. Amazing! Looks great!
Great job! Well done. And as always, thanks for the laughs 😊👍
That made me tired ! 😅😅. Every time we pushed we ended up in the ER …..😅. Now, we stop ! Thanks for the entertainment and memories ! 😅😅😅🎃🎃🎃
Why did you not return the new door and add 4 panes of glass to the old door? Why did you not back up and start a new strategy?
Can’t wait to see the finished job
Thank you for the great videos and positivity!
The black birds around the Ranchero 😂 eerie 😂
Great job Andrea. You are the best entertainment Dean 😅
Use ur drill on the drill setting not the hammer drill setting to keep noise levels lower... also cutting in a garage with the door down might have muffled some as well
Amazing but the Andrea ramble had me laughing. Really funny. Thanks! I needed it after a hard time putting the "not tired" 4 year old to bed 🙃
Front doors are always drama. lol I loved the old one though and solid doors are far more secure than those with glass in them. Not sure why you'd change it. A lil refinish on the outside is all it needed. Glad you got it done though. Scary to think of having a huge hold in the house all night. lol Yikes.
Definitely a blessing in disguise that you had to remove those sidelights.
Darn girl, you have a lot of patience. I would have done pulled out the chain saw and about 3 - 10lb. sledge hammers. Great job and nice looking door also. Steve
