Andrea...a tip from my father who is so organized it's scary...he said put things back as soon as you're finished with them, no matter how tired...teach your kids to put their toys away in an organized fashion also
That way you never have to wonder where that hammer, drill, toy went to when you need it...next day or month . He's a big believer in hanging things up and taking advantage of that space Hooks on walls to hang ladders, golf clubs, extension cords, etc...can see but out of way. Also, he's built extra storage cupboards along upper side walls with simple doors on them on both sides of garage ( overhead)...they hold all Christmas items...trees, totes, etc. Other side holds things like small coolers, tarps. He then bought a couple of the Sterile lite storage units for things like paints, stains, car wash items. And if you think this is organized, lol 😂, you should see his bookkeeping technique...he can cross reference things 4-5 different ways and can put his hands on anything he needs within a minute...and yes we tease him about it saying he has too much time on his hands... he's 94!!!
We've found that out of 5 kids..his traits have rubbed off on all of us a bit... remember... you're also setting good examples for your kids...
Love the shows...have learned a lot from you...keep up the good work
Question ❓ How does the government's new ruling on FB Marketplace taxing on items affect your projects?

I'd recommend to fix and seal the concrete floor, it would stop the dust and be a substantial improovement.
Together with cabinets along one of the walls and a nice worktop on top of those, that garage can turn into something really nice.

That “one year later” was like is this for real? 🧐😳🤔and it was for real 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂Gosh I wish my husband was on board with getting our garage organized and cleaned out! Pray for me🙏🏼! I’m super inspired by your video thanks for the transparency 🥰

Probably one of my most relatable videos! The garage clean out, "year 2". We remodeled a a hoarder house and brought a bunch of stuff home (mistake) to save in our garage. At the end, we too found an animal had moved in for the summer. A SKUNK! He was dining on dog food and sleeping in a box full of polar fleece material. He was very sad to move out also. Good job! It's endless. See you in 2024!

I’m proud of you guys, I’ve been waiting on this video, since your first beginning, because it was a great garage, and you never set it up as a workshop, it’s an awesome space, so proud of you both, now you just hav to do the ceiling, can’t wait.😄🕊️🙏👍

OMG, this video came up in my suggestions and I'm so glad I watched. The way she barely tolerates all of his nonsense (ninja moves, pogo stick, posing) is hysterical. So relatable to anyone who's ever done a project like this with their partner/spouse. SUBSCRIBED.

The possum! My dog was on our patio one evening and something got her attention, so I walked around and behind a chair was a possum. I screamed as loud as Andrea! 🤣 I also used a broom to prod it out of my backyard!

Your garage story is universal. Except for the possum, that’s possibly a Texas thing. Canadians have polar bears hiding in their garages. (Jk)

Head donk wins 😂 it may have been embarrassing for you Andrea, but thoroughly entertaining and loved how realistic it was (1 year later)- life happens! And y’all have accomplished so much in the past year, something was bound to get neglected. Glad it was just the garage! 🙃

My son and I just cleaned our garage two weeks ago. It was almost as bad. No possums though. Schedule a garage refresh once a month and any extra time you don’t need to clean you get to spend doing something fun. Take at least a three day break after each project for something rejuvenating. You are in this for the marathon. Treat your employees well and they will stay forever. Hire a few things done that drain you as a gift to each other. Thank you for sharing the fun.

Even with good systems in place, you still have to do a mini clean out each year to keep it possum-free! At least run the blower to get out all the cobwebs and leaves. Loved this video!

Looks great! I feel like you could put your ladders on the other wall in between the two white cabinets then you could hang the bikes on the wall. Then you could push the other tables over to have room for your van or an indoor work area.

The head bonk definitely makes me laugh harder. I really thought you were kidding when it said One Year Later, but I get it! Stuff accumulates quickly. I knew something was off though because I remembered the rolling workbench that was built but didn’t see it at first. It all made sense in the end. Thanks for the transparency! My basement/garage looks just about the same and I also need to take action.

Hello guys, great video, so are you turning your garage into a woodshop ? hmm... because garages are for minivans 😒 I vote to turn it into a wood shop, so you need more open room hang the bikes in the air and get more cabinets installed around the perimeter of the garage. Epoxy the floor, adding more lights. Andrea, there is your own wood shop / video stage...hahaha, great filming and editing, Dean. Take care, thanks 😊

This may sound strange, but I'm so glad to see your mess! Mine is humiliating, so it's comforting to see such an organized and motivated person has something even worse! Mine's the basement/cellar though, decided to tackle it today so this is great timing. I need the HVAC people in and can't bear to have them see it this way.
