  • Does the consistent pattern and prophetic timeline of scripture align with SDA beliefs? Scripture teaches that before and after an age in Biblically history, God rose up a prophet. What prophet has God risen up in the last days?

There are discrepancies in every Church. SDA is NOT perfect, there is no denomination of human made Churches that is perfect. How many worship on the wrong day (according to scripture references)? If they honor the 1st day sabbath they are following the Catholic Church and the Pope. The Sabbath is the Seventh Day. SDA got the true Sabbath and eat a very healthy diet. Not perfect but right on those two things without a doubt. Sun Day is the day Ancient Rome worshiped the SUN. Catholicism started in Rome and the headquarters of Catholicism is the Vatican which is a separate entity from Rome but that also raises another “RED FLAG:” WHY would a Church be given the same authority, rights, power, and influence as a Nation? Catholic fits into the description of the anti christ described in Revelation. That doesn’t mean the Catholic Church, or the individual members are bad but Satan can in the final days influence or gain control of the leaders of any government including the government of the Vatican. History proves that there have been evil Popes in the past.

I agree with your understanding that there are discrepancies in every church. As you say, "there is no denomination of human made churches that is perfect".
For this reason Yeshua says this of the Laodicean congregation in Revelation 3: 17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
He's calling every single believer to come back to the pureness that He established it with over 2000 years ago.
      Who will heed his voice?

Saying that the Christian can't worship on Sunday because the pagan Romans supposedly worshipped the Sun on the first day of the week makes about as much sense of telling someone that they can't celebrate their birthday on April 20 because Hitler was born that day.
The first Christians clearly stated they gathered for worship on the first day of the week to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. It had nothing to do with Roman paganism.

      1) Not all of the prophets were Jewish. Balaam and Job were Gentiles themselves, and the Bible never said that the gift of prophecy was exclusively given to the people of Israeli descent. Paul told the Corinthians, a gentile church, to "eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy" (1 Cor. 14:1).
      2) Not every prophecy was focused on Israel. Prophets often carried a message of a coming judgment, but these were not exclusive to Israel. For example, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel condemned Assyria, Babylon, Moab, Edom, and Egypt. Sure, you can argue that many of the prophecies spoke of Israel, Jerusalem, and Mount Zion, but that would make sense contextually. The message of salvation was initially centered in Israel in Old Testament times, but after their rejection, it was given to the Gentiles. Jesus said: "Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit" (Matthew 21:43).
Based on these two points, I'd argue that EGW's "deviation" is insignificant in light of Scripture.

Do you really understand the gospel of Christ? Can you imagine if Christ did not come to earth to sacrifice at the cross, we Gentiles(non-Jews) will not have salvation because salvation was only for Jews. It was indeed an "Amazing Grace" that we Gentiles can now have Salvation that was only given to the Jews. But it doesn't mean you will keep sinning after believing in Christ. If you accept the "Grace" given, then you have to repent and stop sinning. Jesus says, repent and sin no more. I will give you an example, if a criminal prisoner is given a special pardon to get out of prison( that is called Grace), would he do the crime again? Of course not, or else he would go back to prison.

@SundayKeeper I do obey the 4th commandment and the 6th commandment of God says "thou shalt not kill" so I don't kill anybody even those who break the 4th commandment because Jesus sacrifice at the cross for all sinners and he is waiting for them to repent until the close of probation when he comes back to judge everyone according to their works. God is so gracious, merciful, and loving that he gives everyone enough probationary time to decide whether to choose life or death. Roman 6:23-For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
You should understand the differences between Moses/Esraelites time and our time after Jesus sacrifice in the cross.
Moses and the Esraelites had a covenant with God to obey his commandments👇
Exodus 19:5- Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
Exodus 19:8-And all the people answered together, and said, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord.
God ruled over them through Moses as the intercessor. The Esraelites had a covenant with God so God punished them immediately when they broke the covenant. They also made animal sacrifices in the sanctuary for the atonement of their sins and God accepted their sacrifices (which means God is merciful and forgiving). But God wants them to live a holy and perfect life.
After Jesus sacrifice in the cross, all those ceremonial practices (animal sacrifices) by the Esraelites were finished, because Jesus represents the animal sacrifice(John 1:29- “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world), but not only for the Jews but for all humanity that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. No more chosen people. No more animal sacrifices in the sanctuary for the atonement of sins. Jesus is now the intercessor/mediator between us and the Father. If you repent of your sins, Jesus will plead to the Father for you because he sacrifice his blood. But if you will not repent then he can't plead for you and it means you refused his "Amazing Grace".
Revelation 14:12- Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

*WARNING: This "timeline" has a major problem*
Regarding Daniel 8 & 9, Adventists mix these two separate prophecies together as matter of necessity to arrive at the 457 BC start date of the 2300 years countdown to 1844. Adventists use Daniel 9:21 to link the two visions together.
Why does Adventism do this? It is because in King James Version of the Bible, Daniel 9:21 is rendered this way _"Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen _*_in the vision at the beginning_*_ , being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation"_ .
So according to Adventists, because Daniel saw the same angel Gabriel earlier and stated _"in the vision at the beginning"_ , we are then to *ASSUME* that this must mean that this is one-in-the-same vision, and that these two visions are linked.
But a simpler and more accurate interpretation of Daniel 9:21 is that Daniel is describing *the same angel that he saw in the first vision* . The angel Gabriel shows up first in Daniel 8 and then later in Daniel 9. Almost all other English translations correctly render the passage as _"Gabriel, whom I had seen _*_in the EARLIER vision"_* . In fact the most direct reading in Hebrew text is as follows:
    *I had seen* (rā·’î·ṯî) *in the earlier* (bat·tə·ḥil·lāh) *vision* (ḇe·ḥā·zō·wn) .
So Daniel is talking about the same *person* "Gabriel" NOT the same vision or prophecy. And we know that these are two different prophecies because they occurred more than 14 years apart AND they have different internal definitions as to *"what"* is to occur *"when"* they are to occur.
In the first vision we are actually told when the prophecy of the 2300 days will occur.
Dan 8:16-23 _“Gabriel, make this man understand the vision.” “Understand, O son of man, that the vision is for the time of the end_ [ *notice that this IS NOT "the end of time"* ] ... _Behold, I will make known to you what shall be at the latter end of the indignation , for it refers to the appointed time of the end...And at the latter END of _*_THEIR kingdom_*_ , when the transgressors have reached their limit, a king of bold face, one who understands riddles, shall arise"_ .
Please notice that this earlier of these two prophecies deals with *"the time of the end"* (again NOT the "end of time" like Miller was envisioning) . This time of the end happens during the latter end of the indignation and at the latter end of "THEIR" kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their limit (Dan 8:16-23). This prophecy is completed at the *end* of a kingdom.
The second prophecy in Daniel 9 (which is not a vision but a prophecy) uses the "seventy-sevens" as the *START of a countdown to the time of the Messiah with a DECREE* "to restore and build Jerusalem" .
Please consider that the *END of something* (in Daniel 8) and the decree to *START something* (in Daniel 9) are completely polar opposite considerations.
The Seventh-day Adventists would have us believe that both visions have the same exact start point, 457 BC, simply due to the mistaken interpretation of the wording in the King James version of Daniel 9:21.
So why are the Adventists demanding this interpretation of mixing these two prophecies together when *NO one else an Christendom does this?* It is because the SDA version is desperately trying to compact these two separate prophecies together simply to fill in the date left by William Miller's mistaken calculations. Since something must have happened on the Oct 22, 1844 date, the continued use of this misguided application originated by Miller must be maintained by all SDAs who actually buy into it. They are stuck with this interpretation, and they must sacrifice that proper practice of Biblical exegesis in order to keep it going.
To the Adventist ministers who keep promoting this concept. I ask you to please recall James warning about teaching only what is correct. _"Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that _*_we who teach will be judged with greater strictness"_* (James 3:1)

@NoSundayLawComing I don't see a problem, but it's worth reviewing what you wrote. Now, let's get to my question. When does the 2300 start? In what year?

    • @NoSundayLawComing
      @NoSundayLawComing Месяц назад

@@AdventDefenseLeague As you might be aware, there are two separate partial-preterist views on the Daniel 8 prophecy. One divides 2300 in half so that there are 1150 days, and other takes the long view - which is 2300 "days" or roughly 6 1/3 years. Both share in common Antiochus Epiphanies IV. I'll cover the shorter 3+ year version here first.
Here is Daniel's description of this man. Dan 8:25 _"By his cunning he shall make deceit prosper under his hand, and in his own mind he shall become great. Without warning he shall destroy many"_
Per history, in 167 B.C., Antiochus’ army promised to peaceably enter Jerusalem (1 Maccabees 1:29-32), but once inside, they suddenly attacked. Here one can see how in fulfillment of v. 23 Antiochus Epiphanies was a “master of intrigue.” Having killed a great multitude, the Greeks plundered the city then set it on fire. Caught off guard, the people of Jerusalem fled. Shortly thereafter, Antiochus issued a decree forbidding Temple sacrifices to Yahweh. With the Jews gone and the city now overrun with Greek soldiers, Temple sacrifice ceased. Then on the 25th day of Chislev, the Greeks offered a desolating sacrifice above the Temple altar. Hearing what had happened in Jerusalem, some Jewish rebels conspired to take back the city. After a long, bitter war, the Jews finally took back Jerusalem. And exactly three years and ten days after the abomination that causes desolation, the Jewish people offered a lamb to God and once again continued the daily sacrifice. Depending on the calendar used, this time period is between 45-60 days short of the 1150 number, nevertheless *_the Jews themselves believe that the defeat of Antiochus Epiphanes was the fulfillment of the Daniel 8 prophecy_* . This is why they have celebrated Hannukah ever since then. And Christ himself did not call out the Jews for this celebration when He walked the earth. He should have if they were wrong.
Per the Gospel of John, Jesus was in the temple courts during this festival with no rebuke of those celebrating it:
John 10:22-24: _"Then came the _*_Festival of Dedication_*_ at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was in the temple courts walking in Solomon’s Colonnade..."_
If Jesus knew that the prophecy of Daniel 8:14 wouldn't be fulfilled until he entered the heavenly sanctuary in 1844 certainly he would have rebuked these Jews for celebrating it's fulfillment during the Maccabean revolt. Jesus should have said something like:
_"No, no! You got it all wrong! Daniel's vision of the 2300 days won't happen until 1844! So please stop your phony celebration of the "feast of dedication" as if this prophecy has already been fulfilled!"_
Instead, Christ said nothing at all, suggesting He was fine with this feast celebration. And this is important, because unlike all the other "feasts" that the Jews celebrated, this particular one is not mandated in the Torah at all. It is the only feast to the Lord not prescribed in the Bible, yet Jesus is fine with it.
Please notice that this Antiochus Epiphanes interpretation of this prophecy has real CORRESPONDENCE with the actual events that literally transpired, unlike the Adventist interpretation which has none. A sanctuary was defiled and the sacrificial offerings stopped for more than 3+ years! *If this is not the event, why wasn't this particular desecration of the Jewish temple not prophesized somewhere else in the Bible? This is a significant event, marked by the celebration of Hannukah to this very day* and Christ apparently approved of it.
Now I ask, do you yourself just ignore this MAJOR EVENT that actually happened in the past and corresponds with the Daniel 8 prophecy almost to a tee? If so, what is your reason for dismissing it? After all, what happened on October 22, 1844 has ZERO correspondence to anything happening here on earth. Apparently what happened on that date in history has to be *spiritualized* by Adventists, placing it in the invisible heavenly realm. By placing it outside of our own reality, such a claim can never be confirmed or completely denied. We just have to accept it on the word of the Adventists.
I ask, is this the standard way that prophecy unfolds? - *That it unfolds INVISIBLY?* We don't do this kind of thing with other prophetic events, all of which play out in real human history. But for the Seventh-day Adventists, the Daniel 8 prophecy apparently gets a special pass. Not Daniel 9 or any other major prophecy, no just this one particular one in Daniel 8. And then Adventists expect the rest of us to buy it as the real truth and think that we are somehow being completely unfair for even questioning it.
However Seventh-day Adventist are not beholden to do this. Adventist Winston McHarg wrote an article entitled *_"Why the Little Horn of Daniel 8 Must Be Antiochus Epiphanes"_* in the January 2018 edition of Adventist Today. You might consider reading it to get a broader perspective as to why most of the Christian and Jewish world believes that Daniel 8 was fulfilled almost 2200 years ago.

    • @NoSundayLawComing
      @NoSundayLawComing Месяц назад

@@AdventDefenseLeague Okay, so here is PART 2 of my answer. ( *I apologize for the length of these comments but it takes time to explain, so please bear with me* )
The second longer view that I mentioned earlier might be more accurate in the specific time frame. The time period covered, 2,300 days, figures to about 6 1/3 years. Depending on which calendar is used, Antiochus desecrated the temple in Jerusalem and severely persecuted the Jews from about September 171/170 BC to December 165/164 BC.
According to 1 Maccabees 1:20-24, the sanctuary was handed over to the horn, Antiochus Epiphanies, in 169 B.C when the Greek king plundered the Temple. The rebellion that causes desolation is mentioned in 2 Maccabees 5:5-14. Thinking that Antiochus Epiphanies was dead, the Maccabees account mentions that Jason gathered a small army and overthrew Menelaus in 170 B.C. When Antiochus heard of this, he assumed that Judea had rebelled against him. This rebellion or perceived rebellion is _“the rebellion that causes desolation”_ because this revolt was the historical reason that Antiochus attacked Judea, plundered the Temple and put an end to the daily sacrifice to the Lord as predicted in Daniel 8:13. Therefore, the total time in which all the events described in verse 13 had transpired was roughly six years from “the rebellion that causes desolation” in 170 B.C. to the reinstitution of the daily sacrifice in 164 B.C. Perhaps it was exactly 2,300 days or 6 years and 118 days between Jason’s revolt and the reinstitution of the daily sacrifice to the Lord. We know it was very close to 2300 days. Again, real correspondence. Not a fictionalized/spiritualized event to rescue a failed date of trying to figure out Christ's second coming.
Whether the short or longer version, when Antiochus died, we know that the Jews purified and rededicated the temple, just as Daniel had predicted. These events are commemorated in the celebration of Hanukkah even to this very day. And again, Christ Himself was not at all bothered by the Jews celebrating this event as a feast when He walked the earth.
Here is another part of Daniel 8 that makes the Adventist view problematic. It has to do with the time frame, kingdoms in question, and the nature of the "sanctuary" that is in view in the chapter. Recall that Daniel 8:15 to the end of the chapter gives the interpretation of the vision
Dan 8:19 _He said, “Behold, I will make known to you what shall be *at the latter end of the indignation* , for it refers to the appointed time of the end."
So what kingdom(s) and time period are in view here? Regarding Kingdoms, verse 20 states _"As for the ram that you saw with the two horns, these are the kings of Media and Persia"_ .
Since "Media and Persia" are mentioned in this passage in correspondence with the little horn, they have to fit into some modern interpretation of who these two kingdoms now represent (or represented in the year 1844). But if we leave them as they are in history we don't have reinterpret them and further clog up the meaning. For example, we are informed earlier in the vision that the time frame involved had to to do with "Burnt Offerings", and given that *we haven't had ANY burnt offerings in almost two thousand years since the destruction of the second temple* , we can rightly conclude that the time and the kingdoms involved had to have correspondence to the time of the sacrificial system. Thus we are restricted to the period before 70 AD for sure.
*We also know that there are no animal sacrifices in heaven so this vision CANNOT be in reference to some "heavenly sanctuary"* , and UNLESS Adventists think that burnt offerings are somehow going to be restored via a future third temple rebuild (which they deny), then the time-frame of the Daniel 8 vision has to be completely restricted to a certain threshold which of time which has already passed. *Please notice the presence of the sacrificial system in the passage* :
Dan 8:11 _"And the regular BURNT OFFERING was taken away from him, and the place of his sanctuary was overthrown"_
Dan 8:13 _"Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one who spoke, “For how long is _*_the vision CONCERNING The regular BURNT OFFERING_*_ , the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled underfoot?”_
Notice that one of the "holy ones" plainly tells us that the vision concerns the regular burnt offerings, not the start of some invisible investigative judgement in the heavenly realms. It is therefore evident that Daniel 8 is clearly talking about an earthly sanctuary with burnt offerings and not some heavenly one.
Further, as anyone can plainly read, there is nothing about the second coming of Christ at all in this ENTIRE chapter. Yet William Miller was trying to force this concept INTO the passage, clearly disregarding the plain exegetical understanding and substituting his own presupposition that the sanctuary being cleansed must be the earth itself (for some reason he was very desperate to have Christ return within his own lifetime). So Miller was using a false motivator (the second coming) to discover this supposed "truth". Miller himself rightfully admitted he had been wrong. However, the "Little Flock" on the other hand, could not do this for they had *thrown their whole lives into "date-setting"* (they just couldn't be wrong).
By the way, if you believe like "the little flock" then you have *the "end of time" now lasting for a period of 180 years!* This equates into a VERY extended period of the "end time", it is not exactly the concept we generally think of when speaking of "end time" events. This, of course, sounds less and less credible as we have to add even more and more time as time goes by, which extends it even longer, all due to an interpretation that the end times must have started in 1844.
By the way, I get it. You guys really have a lot on the line here if you don't "defend" all these things related to 1844.

Obviously the 2300 days/years of Daniel 8: did not begin in 457 BC as Christ did not return in 1843/44.
Ellen White truly believed in William Miller’s prediction and was so distraught when Jesus did not return, she came up with her own explanation for the disappointment which is just a figment of her imagination. There is absolutely no reason for God’s holy sanctuary in heaven to be cleansed. To believe that is equating heaven as a place where sins dwell. “SDA is not wrong” is an understatement of the real truth.

The ending of the 2300 day prophecy was mistakingly interpreted as Christ returning in 1844 but the correction was made by the advent pioneers after this "great disappointment" when they realized they made the mistake thinking the earth was the sanctuary the realized the sanctuary was in heaven not earth and it wasn't Christ returning it was Christ moving into the holy of holies to "cleanse the sanctuary" now that we began "the day of atonement"
So it did begin in 457 bc

Jesus tells you it is the (abomination of desolation) Matthew 24:15. At the end of the world Matthew 24:3. Why don't you listen to Jesus? as it says in Daniel 8: 13. As it says in Daniel 9:27 it's which is 2,520 days.... (After the sanctuary is built)... in Daniel 8 .(the remainder of space is 2300.)!! add the two numbers in Revelation chapter 11 ..for that sanctuary. You get the number I just told you. 2,520. it's 91% of that space of time (after the sanctuary is built!) The guy that makes the agreement breaks the covenant . Daniel 11..halfway through! As it says in Daniel 9:27 the daily sacrifice stops as it says in Daniel 8! A 10 year old kid could figure this. Just by listening to Jesus Christ in Matthew 24.15!. (The prince of the covenant is Daniel 11:22 )..that wins the kingdom by( flatteries). Which is Daniel 9:27 that's not Jesus Christ!

"...From the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times." Who is the Messiah the Prince? Jesus Christ. "...After threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself". Who did Christ die for? Us. "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease". Who confirmed the New Covenant? Christ not the Romans. “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty”? (James 2:10-12) Why would Christ come and die and pay the penalty of transgression if He would just abolish His law? A rejection of Gods moral law is a rejection of the perfect sacrifice of Christ on the cross. Jesus says, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21)
Jesus tells them “I never knew you”. “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Read Matthew 15:3-9) “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty”?
