I can't believe that they're building a Hampton Inn atop my beloved Market parking garage; luckily, my favorite lift is being preserved, but seeing this made me quite distraught, if only momentarily.

I like how the Market Parking Garage elevators have vandal resistant lanterns while the call button and floor buttons are Dover Impulse.
(Fun fact: The chime was louder on the second elevator than the first.)

Wow, have your videos come a long way! I remember when I first started watching them in 2010, and the first video I saw was on the Market elevators, back when one of them was missing the up braille on the call button and before they painted the floors. Now they're putting a hotel on the garage! To be honest, I don't know what I think about it. Even though you say they'll keep the elevators in, I will defiantly miss the garage by itself. It just won't be the same. If they put in two new elevators, I would think the Dovers would be modernized, since those Impulse fixtures are probably pretty outdated by now, and they might need to do modifications? That's what I'm afraid of.

+DieselDucy You should try their PORT system. If you check into the Hilton Ballpark East Tower, they have a PORT system. I'd love to go down there but because of the rumors of all the fires happening in Texas during the summer, I don't want to go down there because then I will be barbecued.

I've seen a few pictures on Google Images of the finished product of the Hampton Inn going on top of the Market Parking Garage. The Hampton Inn will add 3 stories to the entire garage and hotel combined. So I am guessing that the entire building will be about 10 stories tall. And also, if you can, can you make a video of the elevators that will go up to the hotel?

On Campbell Garage elevator on floor 4 it used to be TK Traditional call button but now replaced with TK Aurora call button.
the tower garage is for sure an otis buttons that are used on a northern are different buttons than the tower garage

Update 1: The Elmwood Parking Garage elevator was modernized by ThyssenKrupp Elevator Americas.
I'm so glad that it's a Hampton Inn that's being built on top of the Market Garage, since we all know and love Hampton Inns, and when is the hotel on the garage going to be completed and opened?
+CaptainElevator42189 The Hampton Inn better get Schindler PORT with 5500 MRL because PORT is good.
the sad part of the hotel going up on the market parking garage is that we won't be able to see that beautiful view of mill mountain at the top of the garage.
It's interesting that the market garage is being converted to a hotel, but I'm glad both Dover elevators are remaining intact.
The Market Parking Garage elevators are very well maintained like the Blackurn Science Building at Murray State University.

Also I heard Schindler is going to discontinue making hydraulic elevators, so they would be the second elevator brand after Kone to only make traction elevators.

Last time my dad and I were on the Highway driving home, and I saw a car from otis full of people, i thing they were going to a stuck elevator, it was really funny to see because the car was pretty small!
