He doesn't want that to happen because he actually sees her as a daughter and jinx thinks he lied to her. He doesn't want to lose her like how he lost his brother, which is why he's pissed off.

Jayce didnt know Caitlin took Vi out of prison. Since she was technically pulled off the force. You can see the shock on his face. But he still protected her and lied to Marcus about it not knowing what Cait was doing.

@@Frandahab I agree, people need to stop bringing it up unless someone asks about the game. But I also don't think it's an unrealistic point, or at least comes from a legitimate space. League sucks at building and telling it's lore with how much it changes its mind and retcons things every five minutes, so it could be a major bummer for people who are loving Arcane to go looking for more from the actual game and to see nothing even remotely similar.
Jinx is so confused and trapped in past that Milo always keep bugging her whenever she think or someone said "She failed". Also, she have seen so many things that she can't even tell which is real anymore in her head.
Vi and Caitlyn is almost like cannon at this point with how much the community embraces their "relationship". Just saying, I wouldn't be surprised if riot did make that official.
Riot been embracing them since 2012 with Vi's release and her bio putting emphasis on her and Caitlyn's "mysterious" relationship being the talk of the rest of the enforcers and criminals they apprehend.

Credit to Vi, she did everything right and everything she could when she reunited with Powder. From reassuring her sister that she was real, to apologizing for what she did all those years ago, to trying to de-escalate the situation when Caitlyn showed up. Unfortunately, circumstances were against them, and while I'm not sure how all this will wrap up, I don't foresee a happy ending.
I think Mel genuinely thought she'd be able to control Jayce. I feel like that scene voting out H was the moment when Mel realized the tables had been turned. Now Jayce has all the power and control of the entire council. It wasn't that they all agreed with his argument but due to their dealings they couldn't say no to him. Plus he just showed that if someone has an opinion he doesn't like he will just unseat them, even the founder of Piltover himself!
She’s definitely manipulating him and wanted this. He repeated the same words she told him about needing a new leader while he was motioning to remove Hiemerdinger from the council

@@daedarc The problem is that Jayce is still in control of Hextech; not her. She only has influence on him, so long as he still as affection for her. However, he had affection and respect for Heim, too. So, this is basically setting him up to have the kind of power over the city that House Farros (they have only been mentioned) has.
The series really does justice to every character it presents, there is depth and life to every one, each with their qualities and flaws. Heimerdinger is a wise old man who knows much, yet his immortal nature makes him less sensitive to death, suffering, and the sense of urgency Viktor and Jayce experience; he is also the least politically minded councillor, utterly oblivious to the shady dealings of his fellow councillors, like we see in Ep 5 where he vibed to the violin performance, seated together with the common men, when the aristocracy, in their shadow-shrouded booths high above, welcomed Jayce into their conspiracy. Speaking of Jayce, he's ultimately a good-natured person, but he is also intelligent enough to understand that good intentions alone aren't enough for change. If he was to "survive" as a councillor, he had to play along with the corrupted elites. But despite his intellect and rationality, he can also be very emotional - he has been subtly manipulated by Mel, and his concerns for Viktor made him commit to the very rash act of kicking Heimerdinger off the council - the Hexcore was the last hope of helping Viktor, and Jayce could not allow Heimerdinger to destroy it, even if he knew that Heimerdinger's caution was right.
Man the way Vi's face shudders when she see's powders face holding back the tears. Such beautiful animation and attention to detail. Incredible show can't wait for act 3! Great reaction 👍
There are so many epically moving moments in this series, the creative team behind this show really put all their heart and soul into it. Hard to believe this is all based around an online multi-player PvP game.
It really is a good show. I never played the game but this show instantly immersed me with its story and animation. Episode 6 and Super invested already that I don't want it to end. Amazing.
I think the body language between Jinx and Silco IS intentional, but I think its more to show that neither of them have really learned the social boundaries that society can teach us, that makes us think certain body language or actions between adults could be considered sexual. They both kind of only have each other, and its a seemingly co-dependent relationship that was built on such a fucked up foundation to begin with, that it unintentionally crosses boundaries because of that. It's what also makes their relationship very volatile, and I honestly think it's the one thing that will REALLY blow up in Act 3.
People always talk about the flare scene, and it is amazing. But for some reason, I can't get enough of the very last scene. Jinx going "Vi?...NOOOO!" the emotion in the "NOOO" is fantastic, alongside the sketchy effects that go along with her mental problems. Curious to see if she'll think none of it happened, or that she was still played, or what
The way I interpreted that “NOOOO!” was: I don’t necessarily think that she thought she got played. I think it was more of, “NOOO, NOT AGAIN. SHE’S GONE ONCE AGAIN AND I’M ALONE…AGAIN!”, she saw those guys holding Vi and was about to charge at them before they smoke bombed her
I think the reason they voted so quickly is that in a way, all the councilor's depend on his hexgates for profit if they don't comply with him it will likely not be in their best interests.
This is my favourite episode, especially the Vi and Jinx stuff. The political angle with Jayce is interesting and it would be very interesting to see where that goes. The Vi and Caitlin relationship is something: Vi’s anger is juxtaposed with Cait’s sympathy really well. The whole flare sequence was really beautiful. The song, the animation and motion is some brilliant stuff. Jinx is such a wild card because if that psychosis and her PTSD. The reunion was tender but then it bursts to life in a fight scene. Powder is still in there somewhere. God, I love this show.
After Act 3, I'm beginning to wonder if Riot Games/Fortiche will move on to another Lol Region the next season. It'll be a bittersweet ending for sure. I'm already so invested with Jinx/Vi that it'll be hard to move on, dammit. 😭
@@jaimepe4765 One of the Noxian-Ionian wars would be great. Alot of great champions and lore there (Riven, Swain, Darius, Sion, Yasuo, Irelia, Karma, Akali, Shen). Would also attract many weebs to the fan base XD
I think they will figure out a way to mix in Jinx, Vi and Cait somewhere even if they move on to a different location. I feel like this will be an mcu type of thing where the world will keep expanding.
That flare scene and everything that succeeds it is so gutting still even after seeing it several times :( Also as much as I don’t like Enforcer Marcus, if it wasn’t for him imprisoning Vi in secret Silco would’ve gutted her, tho he didn’t have to lock her away for seemingly years, and he could’ve been less of a dick about it. Still not a fan of Marcus but I see his importance
Marcus was the typical hot headed young cop that was hungry for justice, and saw Zaun as a Nest for criminals (we also see he is a single parent, so he could have lost his wife in something related to Zaun). He pushed things too far, and made one deal, wich Silco violated really badly, and since then is in his hands with no possible way out that doesn't leave his daughter alone. He tried to be proactive and became a victim. Yes, he is not meant to be liked, but I would love if people actually understand his character instead of going blind hate with him.
If it wasn't for Marcus, Vi wouldn't be as badass and metal as she is right now. I mean sure she could've still ended up that way but not to the extent that a prison offers.

Your argument is the same that people use for traumas, supposedly making people stronger, when in actuality it make them weaker, broken, dying slowly with inadequate coping mechanism that makes them incredibly not well-fitted, strong and healthy.
So so so glad that you released this today, I was waiting so anxiously, lol! I cannot express how beautiful this episode was. Riot just took my heart, smacked it on the floor, STOMPED ON IT and said, "YOU DON'T F*****N' NEED THIS ANYMORE." That Jinx scene where Guns for Hire starts playing and she shoots the flare; god.. I couldn't handle it, I blubbered like a child. I think I need therapy after the conclusion of this show.. I think you guys would L O V E the other League Cinematics, especially Annie's Cinematic; the art style is so unique and the transitions in the Cinematic are next level. They also have Ekko's Cinematic, which makes me emotional after watching Arcane (Ekko is the little boy in Benzo's workshop, the one with the white fro). Runeterra is just so vast and truly spectacular. Beyond proud that Riot has expanded this way.
The young girl that on top of the cliff looking down on Victor is the girl that is his assistant that wanted to walk home together. No one seems to catch that.
Well the thing with the Vote is, they all had Deals with Jayce, so they would have gone with a lot of things Jayce wanted, as long as it secures their power. They are all corrupt. The only one that isn't, is Heimerdinger and I think Jayce played right into Mel's hand, since he was always a problem.
I always have to mention the fact in the violin concert where Jayce was doing all these deals with the councilors while Heimer just vibes blissfully unaware and how it alludes so much to the finale of episode 6! Such good writing.
I think the writers wrote VI and Catelyn to be gay, but Riot has a history of not committing to gay relationships. With so many ties to china and other investors that disapprove of it. I would be surprised if they went anywhere with it, but im glad they are giving us what is in the show.

I've rewatched that flare scene so many times, and it still gives me chills. The composition of the shot. The timing of the editing. Jinx' pose. And then that absolutely *PERFECT* crescendo in the music. Then when you think it can't get any more powerful, we see how Jinx still carries the deaths of Mylo and Claggor... I get chills just thinking about it. It's one of my top scenes not just from this show, but of all time; in any medium.
"You're a class act, sister... sister thought I missed her... bet you wouldn't miss her..." Purnell's delivery right there... wonderful. =__= The fact that the whole season was directed by the same two dudes is like a promise that from start to finish, everything will remain AWESOME.
I think those two guys are the reason this show is high quality on so many fronts. But when it comes to the writing, the real meat of the show, I think Amanda’s involvement cannot be overstated. I mean, the first episode is the weakest, right? That’s the only episode she didn’t work on. Except one scene… the incredible opening.

It's not what Hymerdinger foresees, it's what he's actually experienced in his life time. He's the oldest council member and he's said more than once that he's seen what magic can do when misused.
Just so you know, the weird dude in the cave that Viktor is with is the same guy who was the scientist helping Silco create the Shimmer. He is Singed, a character in league (saw subtitle with his name). Also the ending with Jinx screaming after Vi got taken gives me chills everytime
Heimerdinger actually is a; if not the founding father of Piltover (it also says how hes over 300 yrs old and piltover is about 200) and the flash of scenes when he saw the “hex bio-tech” was actually flash backs to what happened the first time a couple of centuries ago so he in a way knows what would happen again and is trying to stop Jayce and Viktor from accidentally doing the same.
I have not watched many of your videos. But the fact that you guys aren't afraid of showing your heart makes me respect you guys much more. And this is coming from someone who doesnt show many emotions, this show actually hurt my heart many times. And yeah Heimers ententions are good but people forget that he did help build the city but because he looks at it from a longer life span and more of a "science progression" state of mind he actually unintentionally created all the suffering in Zaun as well.
Everyone in this show struggles with tough decisions. No one's case is 100% good, right, moral or bad, wrong, evil. But the part that makes it work is that everyone's point of view is well justified and has good reasoning from where they are coming from.

Also regarding Caitlyn and Vi- their original bios in the game were such that Caitlyn was the Sheriff of Piltover and Vi was her partner, as in buddy cops. This became the foundation from which the pair were shipped HEAVILY as more than just buddy cops but like **partners**. The queer coding of the two is very much an acknowledgement to that history built up over the last several years of the existence of these characters in the game.
Idc what anyone says both Vi and Powder/Jinx voice actors are amazing. Especially since the voice-actors are Actors who would act in movies and shows I’m impressed
Its so obvious, and i really hope the show gives them justice, good lesbian portrayals in media is rare despite being a popular fetish for men... I just want them to have a happy ending that gives representation and and a healthy progression on the lesbian experience and relationships...
There are so few platonically close relationships in League. When they make Vi and Caitlyn romantically involved, the only deep seated friendship relationships will be Viktor and Jayce, and we all know how that goes. People can be close without wanting to have sex with each other. I wish Riot realized that.
@@onsetaugust most relationships will undoubtedly be platonic, especially when considering peoplw with the same gender.. The are plenty of childhood friends in the show, one of them being cait and jayce, but vi and cait clearly have something more to them, and theres nothing wrong with that, they dont need to rush their relashionship, but some representation would be nice, you know?
@@ToothpasteVK there are more romantic representations in league of legends than their are close brotherly/sisterly ones. Leona and Diana (lesbian.) Varus (gay). Xayah and Rakan (straight.) Katarina and Garen (Straight.) Trynd and Ashe (straight.) The only very close platonic relationships in League are Vi/Cait and Twisted Fate/Graves, and if the public had their way, they would be having sex too. Its almost as if Riot had some prejudice towards asexual relationships since if they're not related but close, Riot will make then have sex.
Last time I read their lore and their voicelines, there isn't anything between them except Vi being cocky and how it annoys Caitlyn. No offence, but it should've been one of those things that's hinted but doesn't have to happen.

Let's not talk about Ruination hahahah.. I like the stroy behind the Blessed Isles and so on but with the culimnation of the story and event - it just fucked up the storytelling of the charcters involved and were not involved(i.e. Yorick)

I know it feels like a betrayal but I don't think Jayce was wrong about the Professor, his perspective is tainted by having all the time in the world, he told them ten years to bring out their innovations and I agree with safety regulations but he could have offered to help them with their prototypes and he's been on the council since the beginning he is definitely partly responsible for ignoring the needs of the undercity to the point that revolution felt necessary.
I was also initially confused by the scene where Jayce convinced the council to turn on Heimerdinger. But now I'm wondering, maybe that scene in episode 2 where jayce started talking to each member of the council in the theater was him beginning to buy them out and get them invested in the future of hextech in preparation for a disagreement such as the one that happened in this episode. It would explain their turn on Heimerdinger at least a little bit better.
For a while I've seen reel rejects watch this series but unit the most recent Wednesday( November 17th 2021) I decided screw it i'll watch this series and I honestly enjoyed it and it's in my opinion gorgeous to look at. I've never played a game in the LOL (League Of Legends) series but this series kinda gets me interested in playing it eventually down the line. I absolutely love this series plus I'm a huge Imagine Dragons fan so it makes me glad that they did a song for the series and I didn't mind that it's used mostly in the intro for the show
The learning curve of the game is really really steep :/ And the community is difficult to work with. I recommend getting together with a view noobs to learn together or else you will not have fun at all. The toxicity of this highly team based game is unreal!
League itself is a tough game to get into, but if you want to immerse yourself in the universe TFT isn’t bad and Legends of Runeterra has lots of insane interactions between cards, albeit a little more complicated

There are so many epically moving moments in this series, the creative team behind this show really put all their heart and soul into it. Hard to believe this is all based around an online multi-player PvP game.
It really is a good show. I never played the game but this show instantly immersed me with its story and animation. Episode 6 and Super invested already that I don't want it to end. Amazing.
I think the body language between Jinx and Silco IS intentional, but I think its more to show that neither of them have really learned the social boundaries that society can teach us, that makes us think certain body language or actions between adults could be considered sexual. They both kind of only have each other, and its a seemingly co-dependent relationship that was built on such a fucked up foundation to begin with, that it unintentionally crosses boundaries because of that. It's what also makes their relationship very volatile, and I honestly think it's the one thing that will REALLY blow up in Act 3.
People always talk about the flare scene, and it is amazing. But for some reason, I can't get enough of the very last scene. Jinx going "Vi?...NOOOO!" the emotion in the "NOOO" is fantastic, alongside the sketchy effects that go along with her mental problems.
Curious to see if she'll think none of it happened, or that she was still played, or what
The way I interpreted that “NOOOO!” was: I don’t necessarily think that she thought she got played. I think it was more of, “NOOO, NOT AGAIN. SHE’S GONE ONCE AGAIN AND I’M ALONE…AGAIN!”, she saw those guys holding Vi and was about to charge at them before they smoke bombed her
I think the reason they voted so quickly is that in a way, all the councilor's depend on his hexgates for profit if they don't comply with him it will likely not be in their best interests.
This is my favourite episode, especially the Vi and Jinx stuff. The political angle with Jayce is interesting and it would be very interesting to see where that goes. The Vi and Caitlin relationship is something: Vi’s anger is juxtaposed with Cait’s sympathy really well. The whole flare sequence was really beautiful. The song, the animation and motion is some brilliant stuff. Jinx is such a wild card because if that psychosis and her PTSD. The reunion was tender but then it bursts to life in a fight scene. Powder is still in there somewhere. God, I love this show.
After Act 3, I'm beginning to wonder if Riot Games/Fortiche will move on to another Lol Region the next season. It'll be a bittersweet ending for sure. I'm already so invested with Jinx/Vi that it'll be hard to move on, dammit. 😭
It seems they are leaving things set up to move to Noxus.
..or, at least, expand WITH noxus and other regions. I think thats what i want. Maybe freljord too. I would love to see something about The queen s2
@@jaimepe4765 One of the Noxian-Ionian wars would be great. Alot of great champions and lore there (Riven, Swain, Darius, Sion, Yasuo, Irelia, Karma, Akali, Shen). Would also attract many weebs to the fan base XD
I think they will figure out a way to mix in Jinx, Vi and Cait somewhere even if they move on to a different location. I feel like this will be an mcu type of thing where the world will keep expanding.
Apparently the record discs at the beginning of the episodes indicate the different stories Riot hopes to tell, Vi and Jinx being the first
All jokes aside the firelight's do have a cool design of their outfits and masks and how their vibe is imo.

Also as much as I don’t like Enforcer Marcus, if it wasn’t for him imprisoning Vi in secret Silco would’ve gutted her, tho he didn’t have to lock her away for seemingly years, and he could’ve been less of a dick about it. Still not a fan of Marcus but I see his importance
Marcus was the typical hot headed young cop that was hungry for justice, and saw Zaun as a Nest for criminals (we also see he is a single parent, so he could have lost his wife in something related to Zaun). He pushed things too far, and made one deal, wich Silco violated really badly, and since then is in his hands with no possible way out that doesn't leave his daughter alone. He tried to be proactive and became a victim.
Yes, he is not meant to be liked, but I would love if people actually understand his character instead of going blind hate with him.
If it wasn't for Marcus, Vi wouldn't be as badass and metal as she is right now.
I mean sure she could've still ended up that way but not to the extent that a prison offers.

Your argument is the same that people use for traumas, supposedly making people stronger, when in actuality it make them weaker, broken, dying slowly with inadequate coping mechanism that makes them incredibly not well-fitted, strong and healthy.
So so so glad that you released this today, I was waiting so anxiously, lol! I cannot express how beautiful this episode was. Riot just took my heart, smacked it on the floor, STOMPED ON IT and said, "YOU DON'T F*****N' NEED THIS ANYMORE." That Jinx scene where Guns for Hire starts playing and she shoots the flare; god.. I couldn't handle it, I blubbered like a child. I think I need therapy after the conclusion of this show..
I think you guys would L O V E the other League Cinematics, especially Annie's Cinematic; the art style is so unique and the transitions in the Cinematic are next level. They also have Ekko's Cinematic, which makes me emotional after watching Arcane (Ekko is the little boy in Benzo's workshop, the one with the white fro). Runeterra is just so vast and truly spectacular. Beyond proud that Riot has expanded this way.
The young girl that on top of the cliff looking down on Victor is the girl that is his assistant that wanted to walk home together. No one seems to catch that.

Well the thing with the Vote is, they all had Deals with Jayce, so they would have gone with a lot of things Jayce wanted, as long as it secures their power. They are all corrupt. The only one that isn't, is Heimerdinger and I think Jayce played right into Mel's hand, since he was always a problem.
Yeah, but now Jayce sees his power. Mel is not the owner of Hextech. The council eats out of his hand, not hers.

Arcane is absolutely phenomenal. Possibly my favorite show this year. And we’ve had some damn good shows this year

I always have to mention the fact in the violin concert where Jayce was doing all these deals with the councilors while Heimer just vibes blissfully unaware and how it alludes so much to the finale of episode 6! Such good writing.
The acting in this series is Oscar level even tho they're animated characters

I think the writers wrote VI and Catelyn to be gay, but Riot has a history of not committing to gay relationships. With so many ties to china and other investors that disapprove of it. I would be surprised if they went anywhere with it, but im glad they are giving us what is in the show.

I've rewatched that flare scene so many times, and it still gives me chills. The composition of the shot. The timing of the editing. Jinx' pose. And then that absolutely *PERFECT* crescendo in the music. Then when you think it can't get any more powerful, we see how Jinx still carries the deaths of Mylo and Claggor...
I get chills just thinking about it.
It's one of my top scenes not just from this show, but of all time; in any medium.
No matter how much I watch this episode, I still cry...

The fact that the whole season was directed by the same two dudes is like a promise that from start to finish, everything will remain AWESOME.
I think those two guys are the reason this show is high quality on so many fronts. But when it comes to the writing, the real meat of the show, I think Amanda’s involvement cannot be overstated.
I mean, the first episode is the weakest, right? That’s the only episode she didn’t work on. Except one scene… the incredible opening.
Now I'm not saying Caitlyn's gay, but that woman can demolish a plate of clams in record time. Mighty sus, just saying.

It's not what Hymerdinger foresees, it's what he's actually experienced in his life time. He's the oldest council member and he's said more than once that he's seen what magic can do when misused.

I think the female Firelight is Sky Young, the girl from Viktors flashback who now works as his assistant.
Just so you know, the weird dude in the cave that Viktor is with is the same guy who was the scientist helping Silco create the Shimmer. He is Singed, a character in league (saw subtitle with his name). Also the ending with Jinx screaming after Vi got taken gives me chills everytime

Heimerdinger actually is a; if not the founding father of Piltover (it also says how hes over 300 yrs old and piltover is about 200) and the flash of scenes when he saw the “hex bio-tech” was actually flash backs to what happened the first time a couple of centuries ago so he in a way knows what would happen again and is trying to stop Jayce and Viktor from accidentally doing the same.
I have not watched many of your videos. But the fact that you guys aren't afraid of showing your heart makes me respect you guys much more. And this is coming from someone who doesnt show many emotions, this show actually hurt my heart many times.
And yeah Heimers ententions are good but people forget that he did help build the city but because he looks at it from a longer life span and more of a "science progression" state of mind he actually unintentionally created all the suffering in Zaun as well.
Everyone in this show struggles with tough decisions. No one's case is 100% good, right, moral or bad, wrong, evil. But the part that makes it work is that everyone's point of view is well justified and has good reasoning from where they are coming from.

Also regarding Caitlyn and Vi- their original bios in the game were such that Caitlyn was the Sheriff of Piltover and Vi was her partner, as in buddy cops. This became the foundation from which the pair were shipped HEAVILY as more than just buddy cops but like **partners**. The queer coding of the two is very much an acknowledgement to that history built up over the last several years of the existence of these characters in the game.
This is entire series is a rollercoaster of emotions

Its so obvious, and i really hope the show gives them justice, good lesbian portrayals in media is rare despite being a popular fetish for men... I just want them to have a happy ending that gives representation and and a healthy progression on the lesbian experience and relationships...
There are so few platonically close relationships in League. When they make Vi and Caitlyn romantically involved, the only deep seated friendship relationships will be Viktor and Jayce, and we all know how that goes. People can be close without wanting to have sex with each other. I wish Riot realized that.

The are plenty of childhood friends in the show, one of them being cait and jayce, but vi and cait clearly have something more to them, and theres nothing wrong with that, they dont need to rush their relashionship, but some representation would be nice, you know?

I know it feels like a betrayal but I don't think Jayce was wrong about the Professor, his perspective is tainted by having all the time in the world, he told them ten years to bring out their innovations and I agree with safety regulations but he could have offered to help them with their prototypes and he's been on the council since the beginning he is definitely partly responsible for ignoring the needs of the undercity to the point that revolution felt necessary.

I was also initially confused by the scene where Jayce convinced the council to turn on Heimerdinger. But now I'm wondering, maybe that scene in episode 2 where jayce started talking to each member of the council in the theater was him beginning to buy them out and get them invested in the future of hextech in preparation for a disagreement such as the one that happened in this episode. It would explain their turn on Heimerdinger at least a little bit better.

For a while I've seen reel rejects watch this series but unit the most recent Wednesday( November 17th 2021) I decided screw it i'll watch this series and I honestly enjoyed it and it's in my opinion gorgeous to look at. I've never played a game in the LOL (League Of Legends) series but this series kinda gets me interested in playing it eventually down the line. I absolutely love this series plus I'm a huge Imagine Dragons fan so it makes me glad that they did a song for the series and I didn't mind that it's used mostly in the intro for the show
The learning curve of the game is really really steep :/
And the community is difficult to work with.
I recommend getting together with a view noobs to learn together or else you will not have fun at all.
The toxicity of this highly team based game is unreal!
League itself is a tough game to get into, but if you want to immerse yourself in the universe TFT isn’t bad and Legends of Runeterra has lots of insane interactions between cards, albeit a little more complicated
