Worked retail in management and moved up to regional operation manger, then moved to district manger for a hearing aid comoany and no work for my son in a pool business I loved the show Moonlighting, use see TV.
You found some neat music. I have that double Hendrix album. The Zappa album is really cool. There are some good ebay sellers. Im glad you had one. Btw. I was a teacher for 37 years
I like your shirt. I like the peace signs and psychedelic art on shirts. I was born in 1961 in Brooklyn NY (Flatbush). You like the same kind of music I like.
Awesome stuff Don. I'm retired and can't buy cool stuff for awhile due to an upcomng cataract surgery. I've had too many different jobs. Some I really hated and resigned quickly. In those days I was really lucky in finding another job before resigning. Can't do that nowadays. Other jobs I really loved but had that quiet firing screw me up. Some jobs I really hated and liked. Why? It broke my niave mentality into seeing the effin BS in this world. Unfortunately I still experience the BS in my retirement. Oh well! Thanks for sharing.
I got zapped for playing Jimi too. Those ruskies don't know what they are missing 😊. I have that one with him sitting in the chair...sounds pretty good. FZ has dabbled with some bebop and surf tunes on the Joe's Garage. Cool you have that release with a majority of them. Zappa was so talented and quirky. Happy listening Don 😁
Maybe not getting to hear other good music is why Russia is always at war with someone😆 Cruising with Ruben & the Jets LP is a really good doo-wop sounding album too.
Awesome double Hendrix soundtrack. I got mine when I was a member of the Columbia Record Club. So, not the best pressing, but I dig it. I got the reissue of the New Years show from the Hendrix Foundation, which was pressed at QRP. That Zappa is killer! He was a great musician even back then. I enjoyed the cooking part and especially hearing the song “Let’s Go to the Hop”. I remember hearing that when I was younger and I really enjoyed it. Who did the original? Or what version was the most popular? I bet those incense are great! Do you remember when you would go into the black light room at those head shops? Your teeth, shoelaces , and anything that was white would glow! The black lights now a days are nothing like the lights back then. They changed something! Just like the lava lamps. They use to be heavy duty and gold, now they are silver base and tiny. I miss the good old head shops!
Lmao 🤣 You are the absolute BEST! I would never lead you down a wrong path recipe wise! Wink 😉 I’m glad you enjoyed it buddy! Great pick ups & recipe looks yummy! 🤘🏼
Hey Don. Man I miss those old head shops. The one we used to visit for years they tore it down. I was a machinist for about 10 years in factory, couldn’t stand being in there. No windows same spot all day. Then got a job with an electrical contractor. Started from scratch. Didn’t know nothing about electrical. But loved it. I went somewhere different just about every day. Learnt the trade. Now I work as electrician at a large facility. And have my own electrical contracting business on the side. Some killer records you showed here. Glad that eBay purchase worked out Now I’m hungry 🍻
“Headshops” is a term from my youth. Haven’t heard that in a long time lol. I like your sunglasses. I work in a cup manufacturing plant, I work in safety. Nice Hendrix albums. I know it’s not popular to say, but I’ve just never been able to get into Zappa. The food looks delicious!
Great video Goat; I worked in a few factories in the early 70`s but staring at four walls all day wasn`t for me so outdoors I went. Trucking was for me, I hauled freight, groceries, lumber, gravel, asphalt, soil, mud, garbage, snow and salt but if I knew what I know now I would have stayed in school. If I hadn`t bought my house when I did I wouldn`t be able to afford the rent here in Canada. Not to mention records, CD`s, and tapes. You have yourself a good day Eh and keep on cooking.👍
Aloha, That Old Goat's Vinyl! That Elvis album cover looks awesome, does Bruce play Harp on that album? It's always good to have a greatest hits of C S & N. I do enjoy Joe Cocker but I haven't heard that one, I need to check it out. As far as work goes, I worked Retail most of my life from 1976 part time while I was going to Community College work at Woolworth's. Then Sold Cars for Toyota, didn't last to long lol. Then Sold Pianos for easy music center, worked a few Record Shops & mge a New & Used book stores w/'Records, cd's was just coming out.... also drove a tour bus & Van for Is polynesian adventure tours. Went back to retail. I also Sold Concert pictures I took to retail stores side business. Went back working for another tour Company. Then lost job due to pandemic, then Got a job at age 65 working for Handivan as a Driver in 2020 same company as the Bus co. In Honolulu. Then In September of 2023 I got my first Torn retina left eye, then In January 2024 Right eye 👁 Torn retina. finally started healing so I got Cataract surgery on my left eye. Was getting money together to do my right eye 👁 Cataract surgery, When I got Colon Cancer, so I put off the Cataract surgery until, I finish Radiation Therapy w/ my Chemo pills. So I really haven't bought much. I'll be doing Radiation till December 31st, then go from there. Anyways Thanks for another great Video Don. Always looking forward to watching your videos. Mahalo Ed PS Yep, I worked cheap Jobs all my life that's why at 68 I'm still employed, not sure if I'll be able to go back driving... I also was selling Records on the side at shows. To make extra money, my s.s. is 1,625.00 gross. That's it. Struggling here in Honolulu Hawaii. But grateful...
The album doesn't really say who's on it. Wow sounds like you have been busy. Tour bus driver sounds like fun. Dang I never heard of a torn retina, that sounds horrible. I've had bladder cancer but so far the colon has been OK. A friend had to get a lot of his colon removed from the cancer. I'll be 72 next month and am thinking about going back to work...records and be costly(not to mention food) 😂🍻 Hope your radiation goes OK.
I worked as an office worker, sucked. I would have been a permanent temporary employee if health insurance was included back then. Now I just get ACA for my health insurance and plan on working with all my cameras I have. Photography!
I worked 1 day at Walmart and when the shift was over the gave us new-hires our insurance packets. It was so bad I didn't go back. My daughters brother in law travels every where doing photography.
Cool showing. Nice Zappa album. Did you know that Frank died today (Dec 4th) back in '93? Both of those Hendrix lps are great. Yeah that Cocker lp is pretty Mellow but it's still good. One day you're gonna make someone a fine wife. 😂😅 Great video my man.
How you doin’my friend… You are totally right, we had one amazing shop called Labyrinth in Montreal, they had it all… Loved Moonlighting and have that album, am a huge Bruce Willis fan… Never seen that CS&N album, nice one… I have been all over the map, Was in artist management, real estate agent, Crew Chief at Airport and now working for the City… Left a few out 😂… Have that Hendrix, love it… Great finds, good times, peace & love bud ❤️✌🏼😎
I worked all my life and retired at 1 job....Pepsi Co. I think your favorite years in rock are between 1967-1974. I just picked up a LP on sale at Walmart..the best of the Cramps. E-bay will give your money back even if the seller says no returns if it is within a few days. Some one sold me a 2018 Topps baseball set and said it was complete but they took all the stars out including the Ohtani rookie. She gave me my money back....she didn't know anything about cards and didn't know how 20 cards or so will affect the price of a set.
I think your correct about my favorite years! What did ya do for Pepsi? The ebay seller said he would be sending just the 1 record i needed but ended up sending me the entire album!
I’m generally not a fan of actors doing music or musicians doing acting. That must be the early Zappa. I had burnt 10 CDs of unreleased Zappa on Bear Share. It was the early Surf and Do Wop. I worked in warehouses, an aerospace factory then the food industry. First Dryers Ice Cream, then milk bottling company and finally Miller beer. Beer paid mor than dairy and it was Teamsters. I went to an antique store and picked up some records for $5 each.
I agree with you on actors doing music or musicians doing acting, sounds like a potential thread. Yeah it's early Zappa when he did guitar work for other people. I thought I heard you mention before of working in a beer plant. I love $5 records🍻
I'm thinking of getting a turntable from a friend who is a bit older than me, but he is getting rid of his sound system. I asked him why; he was so into it. He is going digital, yuck!
Yes sir on no Zappa,Hendrix Beatles Mac modern and also no ELP. I got dumped trying to play their first lp. Now jobs well 14yrs for US STEEL in a blast furnace then other uneventful occupiers of time oh….. and a on and off occupation with a pot smoking mattress company. Last but not least a contractor as a plumber with my own business called The Psychedelic Plumber. No really true and still going at it. Wowsers !🖖🚀

The shirt also glows under blacklight! I'm a Hoosier from 1953.

Band of Gypsys is a great record to check off your list. All Zappa is great! Take Care.

The song was by Danny & the Juniors. Sha-Na-Na did it at Woodstock and there was a parody called Let's go Smoke Some Pot😆
Lmao 🤣 You are the absolute BEST!
I would never lead you down a wrong path recipe wise! Wink 😉
I’m glad you enjoyed it buddy! Great pick ups & recipe looks yummy! 🤘🏼
Beans with cornbread if a must have around here and I'm always looking for new cabbage recipes.🍻
I bet your kitchen smelled amazing! Looked like a great recipe. Will have to look for that Zappa lp.
Yep that makes the whole house smell good.

I knew you were an electrician but didn't know how you got there. Same spot all day is what I hated in one of my jobs. 🍻

I used to love headshops. Oh cool, like the drink vending machine kind of cups? This is probably the only Zappa LP you would like, it's mostly surf.
