Always enjoy your take on all these great bans/albums. Thanks for including g English Settlement. My all time favorite of there's. Glad you included the Minutemen as well. Peace!
Glad to see the White Album up there. I love everything about that album. If I could only have one album... I'm not a Soft Machine or a Minuteman fan. So those are the only two I don't have from your list including honourable mentions. I'm not going to bother wracking my brain to come up with a list of my own. When it comes to double albums from the "classic" era the pool isn't that large. You pretty well covered it there Scot. Nowadays practically every prog album released is a double if not triple album. You know what a fan I am of that.🙄 Thankfully I've noticed a trend to get back to more manageable lengths. Forty minute albums seem to be making a comeback. You put that Tull comp Living in the Past on your list but you forget an important double comp. That album would be This is the Moody Blues. It was my introduction to the Moodies. It works great too as it was mixed especially for the comp. The songs segue into each other cohesively. Makes for a great listen. Good luck with your Strawbs ranking. That should be a good episode. As you know I love Strawbs. My mama told me never look into the eyes of the sun. But mama that's where the fun is... Don't burn your peepers Scot!
No surprise at 1&2. A few of my favorites made your list. I also like a few of the ones you mentioned you wouldn't be including. As for Chicago, for many years I would have picked CTA over II. But II has taken the lead in recent years.
Always great selection. I need to listen to XTC that i discover today. Thanks to give us opportunities to enrich our discography. Have a great day all of you. François
Fantastic list Scot. And you've got XTC and The Minutemen covered, so my job is done here. Except I would like to add one outlier of an album. And I know you love these guys. Guided by Voices Zeppelin Over China.
Top 20 Double Albums! That was a nice surprise. I'm a "Lamb at Number One" guy, but I liked some of your other choices - White Album, London Calling, and Living in the Past in particular. Let us know how the eclipse was. I have never had the chance to witness a full solar eclipse. I hope you enjoy it! 😎😎❤❤😊😊
My favourite double albums: 1. Flower power - The Flower Kings 2. Unfold the future - The Flower Kings 3. Tales From Topographic Oceans - YES 4. Stardust We Are - The Flower Kings 5. Ballermann - Grobschnitt 6. Not As Good As The Book - The Tangent 7. The Sane Day - Beardfish
One of the amazing things about Rundgren is that Utopia’s first album clocked in at almost 60 minutes in 1974. And even prog rock fans didn’t complain about the sound on vinyl. The guy was/is a master producer across many genres. I love what he did with The Band and that is about as far you can get from prog.
Thanks, Kevin. You may be right. I’m a huge fan of The Band and I recall the actual production being done differently, with Levon in particular being upset with what Todd did, so Todd was effectively demoted despite his work, and listed on some pressings as just as the engineer. Regardless, John Simon deserves all the credit and much more than he gets from the brown album through at least Moondog Matinee. He was the glue. Thanks again for your reply. That’s what I love about good RUclips music channels like this. You learn and get to reply to people without people calling each other names or worse.
Aaron , I am a big Todd fan and Albert Grossman took him under his wing. Todd had done some production prior to Stage Fright . However , he was hired strictly as an engineer on that album . The band members were not in good shape at that time . Coming in to sessions late, not all on the same page .At that time I THINK Todd had produced Fanny and Jesse Winchester . Nice to communicate with someone who appreciates this music ! I’m an old guy of 70 who still listens to music of the 60’s and 70’s .
Thanks for the reply, Kevin. Yes, that was a definitely a hard time for the group - only to get worse in the next couple of years with Richard’s, Rick’s, and Levon’s problems. It is amazing they were able to make such a fine record and, although I seem to be in the minority, I like Cahoots quite a bit too. I always wondered which of Johns’ mixes made it on to the original pressing and which of Rundgren’s. - Aaron
@@aaronsteelman4732 Aaron , have you read Robbie Robertson’s auto biography Testimony? Very informative but his over sized ego comes through .He kinda took advantage of the others but they were pretty much in bad shape .
Kudos Scot, for giving major props to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “ JCS. “ I was 10 years old when I first heard that wild, rock opera back in ‘71, and it blew me away instantly. I will gladly hold it responsible for getting me into both rock and classical music at the same time. And I didn’t even know who Ian Gillan was yet 😆. But it’s a treasure of a double album and should be there with all elites.
I'm sure that Joe Strummer would be spinning in his grave to be included in a prog list, haha. But I gotta admit that London Calling is one of the best double albums ever. Great list Scot, a nice surprise to see Living In the Past, that's the album that got me into Jethro Tull. Also worth mentioning is, A Young Person's Guide to King Crimson, a mighty fine compilation album too.
@@TheProgCorner A few more I can think of. But you've got a show. I don't. Now THAT would be something, if I knew how to pull that off. You did ok for a young'un. 🤗
One of my favourites is Known/Learned by Arcane, a band that had Jim Grey of Caligula's Horse on lead vocals! Arguably one of the greatest prog metal albums ever, two hours of some of the best music out there
Hope you had a good eclipse experience! Really becoming a fan and definitely want to expand into some of your recommendations. Tales Yes album is not for everyone, even for hard-core prog fans it's challenging. Keep making great videos, your passion shows!
Great to see the inclusion of Tago Mago, Double Nickels on the Dime, and Lift Your Skinny Fists to the Sky! I would have thrown in Zen Arcade and Zaireeka as well but prog purists would have thrown stuff at me! Oh and I believe the offical name is Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of War of the Worlds. But I just love that album and story
Great to see War of the Worlds so high on your list. I remember when it came out there was quite a buzz and it was reviewed on the BBC Radio 4 arts programme, Kaleidoscope. Not many LPs got that in those days !
Nice one Scott - hope you enjoyed the eclipse (it wasn't much where I am in Central California). Two double albums that I've tried repeatedly to get into are Brave by Marillion and Tales From Topographic Oceans. I've really tried but they have yet to "click" in my tiny prog-brain. Cheers!
Waiting for Columbus by Little Feat. Although the band played better on Electric Lycanthrope the sound quality and music on display was fantastic and a great reminder of me seeing them in Manchester in 77.
Almost forgot. A brand new double album (on vinyl) from The Church. Eros Zeta and the Perfumed Guitars. An album definitely worthy of consideration. Outstanding!
Johnny Winter released a 3 sided album that was outstanding. He was IMO very under rated. Leaving The Beatles White Album of any double album list denigrates the entire list. The Beatles invented progressive before progressive was a thing. I am 75. I lived thru all of this in person.
Brand new subscriber here. I at age 50 am a little younger than many of you but I discovered prog in my 30s and actually took down your list last night and e-mailed it to my work email so I can stream some of these from Apple Music. Happy to have some new suggestions for my Friday!
Great list! My two favorite double albums have to be PhysicalGraffiti and "The White Album." "The Night the Carousel Burned Down" is on that Todd Rundgren album. It is one of those great songs that 99.9% of the population is unaware of.
I think that I was that "someone " who suggested double albums as a theme! Only you could do it as well as you did, my friend. A great top 3! No eclipse here in Somerset, England. We have a storm a blowin' big time.
Ah, you are still alive after the eclipse! Visions of The Day of the Triffids, came into my mind... What do you think of the Atlantic 75 45rpm version of Lamb? I have the original and the 2008 remix but am unsure about the new version.
Man ! I really admire you choosing "London Calling". I love it too & you can make a case for it being progressive as it is such a progression from their punk roots.
ELO's Out Of The Blue has to be in there, otherwise, superb list, forgot about the XTC one. Agree with Quadrophenia for The Who instead of Tommy, Tommy is a soundtrack instead of an album(yes, I'm nitpicking) Yes and Genesis are one and two?! In other news, bees buzz, grass is green, and birds fly...

Good stuff, Scott! My top ten (not necessarily ranked): Tales from Topographic Oceans The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway Physical Graffiti Bitches Brew Encore (Tangerine Dream) Incantations The Wall Quadrophenia The White Album Works Volume 1
I do get what you're saying about double albums being a lot more common in the vinyl days when anything over about 45-50 minutes had to be one, but when I was trying to think of a list of ten (I ended up at 11 and a bonus) to post here I dug up a lot from more modern eras that are two CDs! My rules here are that it has to be an all studio release, "deluxe editions" only count at my discretion but have to be released alongside the single disc version and include significant original studio material, not just live tracks/covers/alternate takes/etc. No particular order, aside from the last two I'll name. Coheed and Cambria - The Afterman - I'm saying this one first because it's absolutely a stretch to count it so it's not really in my top ten, but I still want to mention it anyway. This one's more a duology that was later released as a double album, and the two were originally released a year apart. But that said, they work far better as one album than either does standing alone, so it's worth mentioning to me. ELO - Out of the Blue - You had it as an honorable mention, but man, what a solid album. Especially that side 3 Concerto for a Rainy Day suite, ending on the happiest song ever recorded, Mr. Blue Sky. I can hear the cowbells now. Judas Priest - Nostradamus - A bit of a weird pick in all fairness, since the album is an absolute black sheep in their catalog and not all that well remembered. But it came out around the time I started high school and I remember listening to it a bunch because my dad liked it. And it's no doubt the proggiest thing they ever did. Is it their best album? Probably not, but for what it's worth I like it quite a bit. Iron Maiden - The Book of Souls - While on the subject of NWOBHM bands turning proggy in their later years, Iron Maiden really took that ball and ran with it after Priest took their stab at it. And putting out a double album with tracks like The Red and the Black, the title track, and Empire of the Clouds? It's prog, no doubt about it. And it's good prog too! Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti - I have honestly pretty similar thoughts about this one as you did. The first disc is virtually flawless, the second one does lose me a bit at times but it's still got some fantastic tracks on it. Especially In the Light and Night Flight I really do enjoy. Either way it's just behind Houses of the Holy as a favorite Zeppelin album. Dream Theater - Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence - This is a bit of an odd one to me, since I do tend to rate this one lower than most do for DT album lists, but it's hard to deny that it's a fantastic album. I find the lyrics of The Great Debate and some parts of the title suite a little dated, but that's really a minor quibble, even a lower rank among DT albums is a damn high rank in general in my book. Liquid Tension Experiment - LTE3 - Is it cheating to have this and DT as separate artists? Maybe. Is it cheating to count the bonus disc as part of the album? I'm going to say no, because it's all new material and that's what I got when it came out. Fantastic comeback record, always great to hear more from these guys. And getting their version of Rhapsody in Blue on a studio album finally is a nice touch, especially because their live version is what made me like that piece to begin with. Symphony X - Iconoclast - This one's also debatable in terms of it counting, but the band's official stance is that the two disc version is their intended release, and the single disc version was insisted on by the label. All that changes is that two songs got shifted tothe second disc and three more tracks were added. The album itself is a bit different from other Symphony X releases, a bit rougher edged and more metal with less symphonic notes, but I still like it a lot for what it is, and the disc 1 closer When All Is Lost is just an incredible piece of music. IQ - The Road of Bones - I still need to dig more into this band, but this album is what got me hooked on them. It's dark, brooding, dare I say spooky, and has just enough common threads between songs that I'm confident in calling it a concept album, but not sure what the story of it actually is. It's about a vampire, I think, and that's about what I can figure out. But it's amazing either way. Yes - Tales From Topographic Oceans - What more is there to say about this one? We all know you love it, I really enjoy it, Rick Wakeman might not but he seems like a bit of a perfectionist so I'll take his word with a grain of salt. It's great, we all know that by now. And now for my top two: Thank You Scientist - Terraformer - I mentioned this on my list of best album sides for that first run of four songs, but the other three sides are all fantastic too. Thirteen songs of proggy, jazzy goodness, it's one of two double albums to easily make my favorite albums ever. The other? Ayreon - The Human Equation - If it wasn't for the one album per artist rule I could have had half my list be Ayreon albums. Arjen's such a fantastic composer, and his rock operas are some of the most clearly told I can find, and still manage to make just about every song fantastic on its own. This album is probably my favorite ever made by anyone - the story is (quite literally) an emotional roller coaster, the music is great, what more do I need to say? Well, there's my list, it's got a few you mentioned but gives some light to a few other things there. And it was only while I was working on it that I consciously realized Rush never had a studio double album... Only live and compilation albums. That just feels factually wrong but it's true. Anyway, great list!
I didn't realize that Soft Machine Third was a double. I only got into them a few years ago so only digital version. It's a really good album. Chicago II is a great album, sort of proggy how all the songs medley together as suites, so each side was a song, sort of (I was writing this while watching and had to change my comment when you popped it up! TYVM). Kind of like how the Moody Blues Threshold of a Dream has no song breaks, they all flow into each other (so if you got it CD, it inserts breaks where there really aren't any and it sucks). Oh, yeah, the Total Eclipse was great.
@@TheProgCorner Then your mom has great taste! As someone else observed recently, there was a spate of double albums at this time from artists who had never produced one before. Joni being one, Fleetwood Mac being another (“Tusk”). Great video - with some brilliant albums. I’d probably have “Lamb” at number 1. Maybe outside the genre also, like Joni, would be Prince’s “Sign O The Times” - two abandoned single albums melded together for a double album. I thought of this because it features “The Ballad of Dorothy Parker” which features reference to Joni, one of Prince’s favourite artists.
I think you've named all my favourites, I can't think of any others. BTW I just saw a new video by Rosalie Cunningham - Return Of The Ellington, very promising.

@@TheProgCorner Now that I think about it, JCSS may have been my very first exposure to "prog." My oldest sister had it, but I wore it out. I was only like 11 or 12 years old and I didn't even know what a "Broadway" or "West End" show was. At that time as a kid, it was just an album, but I remember thinking, "Why is this record so different than most records?" I didn't understand it was a soundtrack to a show, I just remember loving it. Since that time I've seen over 100 broadway shows, so it stuck! There are some parts in that album that are so melodically perfect. I should play Heaven On Their Minds on Prog Radio. Queensrÿche even covered it.

Went back and listened to Jesus Christ Superstar because of this video. Used to really not like it (probably because a VERY MEAN music teacher made us watch the movie in elementary school) but after diving deep into prog for the past few years I can totally appreciate it now!😁
Good to see Todd Rundgren get a mention. I think his career is terribly underrated. I prefer "Sheik Yerbouti" over the Garage stuff, but either is a good choice. The only thing I liked about the Elton John album was side one. Most people diss "Works V1", but I really like it. I've always regarded it as 4 separate album sides as much as a double album, if that makes sense. You gotta have "Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me" in there somewhere, c'mon man! My honorable mention would be The Kinks' "Preservation Act 2".
Hi Scot!!! You made a great choice on double albums!!! Yes, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Chicago, Todd Rundgren, The Who, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Elton John, Captain Beefheart, XTC, Focus, Can, Jeff Wayne, Jesus Christ Superstar (Ian Gillan's setlist, not the OST) just awesome!!!!! I don't think "Works" is a very good album although I love ELP's four or five first records!!! I can understand perfectly why you didn't pick "Bob Dylan's "Blonde On Blonde" The Rolling Stones' "Exile On Main St.", Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life" or "Jimi Hendrix's "Electric Ladyland" because in truth they have nothing of prog-rock they are full of rock and roll, psychedelia, folk, country, soul music, but "London Calling" from Clash has nothing of prog too!! And for me, it's an excellent record but not superior to any of the four you spoke and I mentioned. But it doesn't matter, what matters is that you rocked again this whole video!!!! See you my American friend!!!

Soft Machine Third is my favourite album. I'm waiting with excitement for the ranking of Soft Machine albums!😊
It’s coming!!!! Right after Strawbs…
Always enjoy your take on all these great bans/albums. Thanks for including g English Settlement. My all time favorite of there's. Glad you included the Minutemen as well. Peace!
I like to mix it up sometimes!!!
Glad to see the White Album up there. I love everything about that album. If I could only have one album...
I'm not a Soft Machine or a Minuteman fan. So those are the only two I don't have from your list including
honourable mentions. I'm not going to bother wracking my brain to come up with a list of my own. When it
comes to double albums from the "classic" era the pool isn't that large. You pretty well covered it there Scot.
Nowadays practically every prog album released is a double if not triple album. You know what a fan I am of
that.🙄 Thankfully I've noticed a trend to get back to more manageable lengths. Forty minute albums seem to
be making a comeback.
You put that Tull comp Living in the Past on your list but you forget an important double comp. That album would
be This is the Moody Blues. It was my introduction to the Moodies. It works great too as it was mixed especially
for the comp.
It’s happening!!!! Right now.
Thanks for mentioning Incantations, Sing To God and Trout Mask Replica, my favs! When I first heard Dirty Boy off Sing To God it left me in bits.
Cardiacs will do that to you!!!!
It's amazing how few of your top 20 are in my top 20. Mine are actually all prog. It's hard to believe we both love the same genre.
Prog is a huge tent - filled with awesomeness!!!!
respect for including London Calling 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!!!
No surprise at 1&2. A few of my favorites made your list. I also like a few of the ones you mentioned you wouldn't be including. As for Chicago, for many years I would have picked CTA over II. But II has taken the lead in recent years.
It’s really close!!! And I LOVE 5&7 too!!!

When you brought out the GYBE I got so hyped did not expect that Awesome album and band
So good!!!!!!
Aaron Todd was the engineer for Stage Fright . John Simon produced .
The 39 Lashes kept me awake at night…
I'm sure that Joe Strummer would be spinning in his grave to be included in a prog list, haha. But I gotta admit that London Calling is one of the best double albums ever. Great list Scot, a nice surprise to see Living In the Past, that's the album that got me into Jethro Tull. Also worth mentioning is, A Young Person's Guide to King Crimson, a mighty fine compilation album too.
Yes!!! I should have included that!!!!
Arguably one of the greatest prog metal albums ever, two hours of some of the best music out there
I like Arcane way more than Caligula’s Horse!!!
I love Caligula's Horse - I'll certainly give Known/Learned a try. Thanks for the recommendation.
Yes! Focus 3! Holy shit, what a masterpiece. That is a desert island record for me. Side 2 is an absolute must listen for any Guitar head.
Jan Akkerman. Guitar God.
Absolutely. I saw them in concert for 40p so about 50cents. Fantastic concert. The week after I saw Home for the same. Another belter.
Was not expecting a hello kitty t shirt! Great vid as always!
I’m a Hello Kitty fan!!!!
Hope you had a good eclipse experience! Really becoming a fan and definitely want to expand into some of your recommendations. Tales Yes album is not for everyone, even for hard-core prog fans it's challenging. Keep making great videos, your passion shows!
The eclipse was amazing!!! So cool.
Zen Arcade!!!! Oops!!!! Should have at least been mentioned!!!!! I love Hüsker Dü!!!
Great to see War of the Worlds so high on your list. I remember when it came out there was quite a buzz and it was reviewed on the BBC Radio 4 arts programme, Kaleidoscope. Not many LPs got that in those days !
So much fun!!!
Very surprised Similitude of a Dream didn't find its way on this list, great list Scot !
Modern Prog albums definitely have an uphill battle in this category. Similitude was a triple album on vinyl…
Triple album on vinyl…
So I excluded it…
@@TheProgCorner Ahhhhh makes sense 😅
Nice to see you mention Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds! Went and checked my copy and discovered that for some reason I have two vinyl copies!
Can’t hurt to have a spare…
Nice one Scott - hope you enjoyed the eclipse (it wasn't much where I am in Central California). Two double albums that I've tried repeatedly to get into are Brave by Marillion and Tales From Topographic Oceans. I've really tried but they have yet to "click" in my tiny prog-brain. Cheers!
Both took me years. Seriously!!!
That Hello Kitty shirt is fantastic!!
Thank you!!!
A sorely underrated, highly adventurous double album - Chicago III.
Sing a mean tune, kid.
@@TheProgCorner, sock 'em in the gut yeah, yeah, yeah.
Waiting for Columbus by Little Feat. Although the band played better on Electric Lycanthrope the sound quality and music on display was fantastic and a great reminder of me seeing them in Manchester in 77.
What a band.
Almost forgot. A brand new double album (on vinyl) from The Church. Eros Zeta and the Perfumed Guitars. An album definitely worthy of consideration. Outstanding!
The Church!!!!!
Impressive album cover.
Holy smokes..what a great list and Jeff Wayne on it is a big plus. Love it. Peace
👍👍👍
Johnny Winter released a 3 sided album that was outstanding. He was IMO very under rated. Leaving The Beatles White Album of any double album list denigrates the entire list. The Beatles invented progressive before progressive was a thing. I am 75. I lived thru all of this in person.
So you know why The White Album had to be on my list!!! You get it.
Brand new subscriber here. I at age 50 am a little younger than many of you but I discovered prog in my 30s and actually took down your list last night and e-mailed it to my work email so I can stream some of these from Apple Music. Happy to have some new suggestions for my Friday!

A good observation!!!
Nice surprise with Jesus Christ Superstar. Hope you enjoyed the eclipse yesterday, I did get to see it here in Texas, glad that I did.
It was amazing!!!
ELO's Out Of The Blue has to be in there, otherwise, superb list, forgot about the XTC one. Agree with Quadrophenia for The Who instead of Tommy, Tommy is a soundtrack instead of an album(yes, I'm nitpicking)
Yes and Genesis are one and two?! In other news, bees buzz, grass is green, and birds fly...
Exactly!!!!
@@TheProgCornerShe has a new album coming out this month. Would be a nice short to place it in your rankings of TS albums. That way, you don't have to do a whole rankings show. Just a 30 second update, please.
Good stuff, Scott!
My top ten (not necessarily ranked):
Tales from Topographic Oceans
The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
Physical Graffiti
Bitches Brew
Encore (Tangerine Dream)
Incantations
The Wall
Quadrophenia
The White Album
Works Volume 1
Perfect.
And now for my top two:
Thank You Scientist - Terraformer - I mentioned this on my list of best album sides for that first run of four songs, but the other three sides are all fantastic too.
Outstanding list. And yeah, Rush never had a double (studio) album.
I saw Can in a bar in Hamburg's St. Pauli disrict many years ago back in the early 70's - Happy Daze !
Wow!!!!
1. White Album 2. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway 3. Physical Graffiti 4. Exile on Main Street 5. Songs in the Key of Life.
Outstanding!!!
That was so AWESOME!!!!
Don Juan’s Reckless Daughter by Joni Mitchell is a phenomenal double album - and often overlooked by critics and fans alike. Great list though, Scot.
I almost included that!!! (My Mom is a big fan!!!)
You know I love her!!!!
I'm a fan of hers. I've been paying attention. I'm hoping she releases a full length some time soon and then goes out on tour.

Modern Prog took a backseat here. In the CD era almost every album was a “double” album so I focused on the classic era…
The Lamb has been #1 for me since I first bought it.
I know a lot of people hate The Astonishing from Dream Theater but it's one of my favorite albums.
Big Big Train English Electric Full Power not originally a double album but I have to include it. One of the great modern Prog records.

Went back and listened to Jesus Christ Superstar because of this video. Used to really not like it (probably because a VERY MEAN music teacher made us watch the movie in elementary school) but after diving deep into prog for the past few years I can totally appreciate it now!😁
Yes!!!! It is a Prog album at its core!!!
I almost went with Freak Out so...

CTA or Chicago II. Either way!!!!!
I found Joe’s Garage on a three LP boxed set. The CD was of course on two discs.

What a fantastic video have a wonderful day ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile. PIL - Metal Box (2nd Edition). Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Welcome To The Pleasure Dome (featuring some guy called Steve Howe on guitar. Wonder what happened to him🤔)
Metal Box!!! So good. Oddly enough, my wife even likes PiL.

My number 1 has to go to the Neal Morse Band's the Great Adventure. I have it tied with his Similitude of a Dream. If you've never heard these, go for it. You're in for a treat!.

-Yes, Tales of Topographic Oceans
-Genesis, Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
--Also checkout (if you can find it), "Rewiring Genesis, A Tribute to The Lamb Lies Down..."
-Chicago Transit Authority
-Led Zep, Physical Graffiti
-Smashing Pumpkins, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
-The Who, Quadraphenia
-Frank Zappa, Sheik Yerbouti
I almost included Mellon Collie!!! I love the Pumpkins.
With the eclipse the king may not be able to be saved. Good set list, but i thought of others, but it is your list.
Ah yes!!! There’s always more!!!
Great video Scott! Would you ever consider a “primer” series? If someone is new to a band, what would be the 2 or 3 albums you would recommend.
You might be on to something there…
My favorite double albums 1) Marillion "Marbles" 2) Yes "Tales From Topographic Oceans 3) ELO "Out of the Blue" 4) IQ "The Road of Bones 5) Chicago's 2nd album.
Yes!!!!!
Awesome! Exciting at least up to 3rd rank 😂 Love the inclusion of Jesus Christ Superstar and War of the worlds :) Suggest the inclusion of IQ Subterranea :)

My top prog double lps growing up was GG Playing the Fool, Camel A Live Record, VDGG Vital and of course The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (what does that stand for Lamb on LSD on Broadway?
Playing The Fool is my favorite live album!!!
If you buy Chicago II, get the Steve Wilson remix. Sounds clear as a bell.
Big improvement.
