I imagine the sprite of the player's pokemon uses large pixels because they wanted it to look closer to the screen without making the artwork a higher resolution and thus costing more of the limited and valuable storage space available on the GB cartridges. As far as I am aware, Red and Green already used all the bits and bytes available to them.
Louiepikmin3 that's not how that works. If MissingNo was patched but not the other glitched Pokemon like M then sure. But MissingNo having one way patched would be like if BLJ didn't work in one area but worked in others still

Fun fact, Sabrina was suppose to be the last gym leader in the original line up. That's why she was more difficult than Blaine. (not to mention the type advantage that Psychic has) I need a Blue Kaizo Wolfe challenge now.
Just to explain to people because they didn't really explain it too well in the video, badges in Gen 1, 2, and 3 I believe all give a boost to a specific stat for all of your pokemon. In Gen 1 though when ever a status move that raises or lowers stats affects one of your pokemon it reapplies this buff per stat changing move (moves that apply more that one stat change still only reapply the buff once from my understanding) unless that pokemon levels or switches out. If the mod ever gets reworked, I think it should remove the badge boosts, change the items for certain trainer battles, and change the moves that certain trainers pokemon have access to (Maybe even update certain trainers teams all together). It would be A-LOT of work on top of what was already done to get this mode to work in the first place, so I'm not going to hold my breath or anything, I just think this would be a cool thing to see again with more push and pull battles rather than just one sided stomps. It was still awesome to see, and I'm not trying to say that I didn't enjoy these videos. I enjoyed them a-lot, that's why I want to see more.
I agree with fix the glitches, but the charm of the video for me is watching what a human would do with the original trainer's tools at his disposal. I think getting rid of the badge boost glitch and some of the other stat based bugs is fair, the rest isn't really necessary.

Sometimes I wonder how Bruno got into the elite 4, like how did he get to the 3rd spot with 2 onix, did Lorelei really get destroyed, an ice type Pokémon user?
There is a crazy theory about Giovanni being a hero in Kanto, it's a funny one and at some point it suggest that Bruno is kinda a substitue of Giovanni on the elite 4, that's why the room has decoration more related to ground type and there is no such decoration on Giovanni's gym.
The whole theory is kinda crazy and i guess it's not true but it's an interesting one

I imagine the sprite of the player's pokemon uses large pixels because they wanted it to look closer to the screen without making the artwork a higher resolution and thus costing more of the limited and valuable storage space available on the GB cartridges. Is there any way we can support Atsign's creation of these rom hacks? I just want to make sure they get lots of love for their hard work.
Ant pays all of his mod creators for their work, they do such a great job.
@@AbbyBagel at this point Atsign's no longer just a mod, but also a modder (heh) so they deserve some extra
But I'm so damn glad they're getting paid
Really??? Huh, the more you know.
So... badge boost glitch.
Just apply the multiplayer hack to Blue Kaizo
yay the lorlei rest thing cant happen and isnt softlock
I agree with fix the glitches, but the charm of the video for me is watching what a human would do with the original trainer's tools at his disposal. I think getting rid of the badge boost glitch and some of the other stat based bugs is fair, the rest isn't really necessary.

If any of you are familiar with programming, you should know atsign is a genius. The only thing that could have helped him is the decompilation project for gen 1, but even then it's all in assembly and rewriting the battle system to: retrieve the move list of the opponent, retrieve the allowed items, cover all edge cases like for example running on either side, memory allocation in a game that is kind of a mess in that department, etc. is a huge feat. Damn, I love seeing firsthand how infuriatingly busted Alakazam and Snorlax were in gen 1. I suppose a fighting type would have helped with Snorlax but Alakazam is truly just a menace
Fighting types do not help against any of the good normals.
