@Daron Sutton Wayne didn’t care when everybody complained about him rapping about girls, but there was so much discussion about it so why can’t he just say his opinion about it? It’s the same for the Pusha beef. Pusha kept going on and on as Wayne found out during interviews, so he kinda had to respond.
Wait..Pharrell and Lil Wayne did several songs together…”Yes, “Finito” with N.O.R.E. , “Showdown”, “Hello/How You’re Doing”. That rumor had some cap on it
I just feel that Wayne isn't any "battle type" of rapper. Goulish was bad yes. But "the best rapper alive" has proven that statement going at other great rappers in other ways. Lil Wayne didn't start this. Pusha T started this by taking on Neptunes beef with Birdman for not paying for the beat on himself and on Clipse. When Lil Wayne wore the BAPE and BBC gear; that was free promo for Neptunes. That's how they should have seen it and just kept it moving. They didn't have to get upset and put it on their artists (Clipse) to carry their beef through interviews talking smack and that Mr Me Too joint. That's cowardly on Pharrell's part, and I'm sure given the chance he would have done different. Hindsights a B*#($%

IMO Wayne’s ability never fell off he just had a few bad years (2012-2014) but once he dropped FWA and S4TW 2 he got back on his shit. The only thing he is missing now is direction if u get what I mean. Pusha is a dope MC but like u said he’s never had or even came close to Wayne’s career. I guarantee you in majority of ppls playlist there’s more Wayne than Pusha T so I would say Wayne won the war by a long shot. IMO

I think Wayne ment "if you have coke money than you don't need to rap" this shows that Wayne has always been rich and doesn't understand the desire to get off the streets or how hard it is to walk away from selling drugs when people depend on you to feed their families.

@@True2ChainzLilWayne I’m pretty sure they weren’t recorded in 2014 because I have a copy of the OG 2014 Carter V and this song is not there. This was a newer track recorded in 2018 during drake and pusha beef.
@@jesusdaholy Wow it was probably much more recent then. I know for sure Mona Lisa was recorded in 2014, let it fly Travis doesn’t sound like his 2018 self there’s probably a few more recorded before the Cash Money lawsuit.
I've never known about this beef going on in rap/hip-hop. Wayne is my personal favorite rapper ever though, and I do know the name Pusha T, but I don't try to listen to his music.
As far as the war, you could still say Push because everything that Push said would happen, actually happened to him. He had to sue Birdman and fight to get off of the label. It took a while for Carter 5 to come out as well. His beef with Wayne caused his artist, Drake to come at him and he destroyed him as well. Imo War regarding the beef goes to Push. Album sales and all that is nice but it’s an overrated accolade when we talk about greatness of rappers. There’s a lot of great rappers who didn’t sell a lot of records, and some of the greatest hip hop albums didn’t sell much when they were released; ie Illmatic and Reasonable Doubt. In a sense you can say Pusha gained more positive notoriety during the years of dissing Wayne and Drake. He started getting more features, interviews, DAYTONA was even nominated for a Grammy. So imo the war goes to Pusha as well.
No, Wayne is still doing better than Pusha after this beef. Yes I agree it benefitted Pusha, but Wayne is still considered by most hiphop fans as one of the goats. He literally birthed a new generation of rappers. Pusha isn't even close to that. Wayne's 2020 has been fire as well, destroying every feature he is on
No you can't, Wayne is far ahead of push in everything. Wayne has 9 platinum solo albums dude. Take a second to think about that, and the whole game right now is made from his style.
Carter 5 still went gold in 1 week at 500k, it now 2x platnium, one of the best & most successful albums of 2018. Wayne is free of Birdman & Cash Money, Wayne got all his money, etc
This one was boring then and now, but you showing that magazine cover with Wayne on it took me back. God, I miss those days of getting magazines and being so excited to read the interviews of my favorite entertainers.
Remarkable how many times weezy said the same thing in the complex interview, considering its a text interview. Pretty good indication that he already knew he has nothing against clipse/pusha that has some substance.
Catalog for Catalog, Wayne got the best features, released music on a daily still remained on top, best Mixtapes, albums tight too, check his 2020 features he isnt sparring none- killing em all, between the two - when people want a feature they dont even consider pusha, who took people's beats and made ya'll forget they belong to them? who made Hov take a walk and say "ÿou sure you still got this?" who is in top five every rappers list? not pusha... the War portion by a land slide... Wayne started at 14, first platinum album at 17, Wayne has over 20 mixtapes stil going off like a g5 on air Strip, Wayne has 13 albums, of Pusha's 3 albums show me which one knocks out a Wayne Album dont even put C3 there.... PUT SOME RESPEK ON WAYNE NAME quake. Not even Ye can trump Wayne. in a Verzuz No one can stand next to Wayne....
Just cause the industry pushes your nonsense more than others it does not make you good rapper and rhyming a word with the same word does not make you good
Pusha T literally looks the same with the same style even up to now talking about trend setting lol. Tons of rappers out now were molded in Lil Waynes likeness so... 🤷 And that's not even hating that's just facts. I still need a Pusha Wayne song no hook.

Bro I hate to break it to you but I don’t think pusha T is that good only rapper he actually beat is drake and let’s be honest drake got his hits but he ain’t a full blown rapper

Fr he even says it himself to with the rich since 14 statements.

I've never known about this beef going on in rap/hip-hop. Wayne is my personal favorite rapper ever though, and I do know the name Pusha T, but I don't try to listen to his music.
You have a phone right. Put his last 3 albums in your queue and enjoy.
💯
He makes great music, actually never had a bad album.
Pusha T is a monster battle he destroyed ym by himself alone got give him he's props
Finally, a Pusha Thanos video. Instant like.
Pusha no doubt is a good mc but just like the rappers of today he has have a gimmick to sell records or get attention it’s sad honestly
