Nas Ether destroyed Jay Z period. After Ether Jay soul still burning slow cause he dropping albums on the same day as nas till this day. There is no way Drake beat Pusha.
Nah this is different jay z actually had a small dent in his career drake has too many flaws but appears perfect jay didn’t which is why the nas and ether thing is still debatable drake had too many questionable shit in his career and push saw that jay z disses was on par drake completely lost here I never seen jay get broken down as far as his life bc we knew jay a was an ass back then soooo ehh pusha broke his family down him down and his kid down 🤣
I love how Drake fans act like, since the never released diss was supposed to be "career-ending" then that alone makes Drake the winner. Nah ni66a. It didn't come out so it never happened. Fuck what Prince and the narrative says. Drake may be too big to fail, but Push bodied him and Drake didn't do shit. That's on the real.
Push won the battle and the war because the fact that EVERYTHING he said was true will always be in the back of everybody’s mind. So if he was right about drake then he sold drugs also which was confirmed by drake but drake tried to downplay how much push made from it. plus this is the only tarnish on Drake’s record. The story of Adidon has to be the worst thing that ever happened to Drake. I actually feel bad for him. That was the most vicious, disrespectful diss track ever made. Not just because he dissed drake , or because he revealed embarrassing, personal details about Drake's life, BUT....... he ALSO used a photo of Drake, IN BLACKFACE, on the album cover..... 😮 Hands down the most embarrassing, disrespectful diss track ever made.
I'm very confused by your "war" analysis. What exactly was the war you analyzed? All you've done is analyze their careers after their beef. That's not a war. If their post-beef careers is what you're analyzing, just call that the "aftermath". It just doesn't make sense
@@JTMoodie2 Here's my thing about that. Push has been going at Drake for years and people in drakes circle ( lil wayne, birdman) for even longer. Never once did he bring in anyone who didn't send shots at him. On top of that out of all of the people he could've came at 40 is so far out of left field, he doesn't even rap, and he's even used some of his beats. The story of addidon was a dissection of Drake, if we going with that theme, and take in to account everything else, then i think its reasonable to assume that that line had no malicious intent towards 40 and was meant to fuck with drakes head, like every other line in the song.
@@crasyman101 definitely valid. I feel like his only major blow was the fact that he had a kid. Nothing else was anything we didn't know already and we all kinda clown him over this stuff already. It was a great chess move. Push has been controlling this narrative though. If you pay attention you'll see it
@@JTMoodie2 Every bar was a blow to Drake. Like dude above said, he broke down his entire family history and it’s worse because it’s all true. Then he connected that to his baby’s mom and then he alleged he won’t take care of his kid because of it. Every bar hit and most of the bars were true.
Before even REALSING this it's clear that Pusha won. Drake name dropped some of Pushas family members and when Pusha did Drake got emotional **Loaded Lux voice** The story of adidon is top 10 disstracks of all time, no doubt
It was too 10 impactful diss tracks. To be honest, after Hit Em Up, Ether, and maybe No Vaseline, it is probably the most devastating diss track ever (could be argued to be more scathing than No Vaseline). But if you just take the song as it is, it isn't even top 10- even Push said it was just a warm up lol. But then, the fact he killed Drake with it shows how imoactful it was.
Good job on the vid Quake! The research and points made definitely show dedication to hip hop. Honestly if you do make a part 3 it would definitely be helpful to the people who are anxious to know but if you don’t make a part 3 they can definitely find a way something on the web.
Everyone wins some and loses some it's good he took an a L but I wonder what Pusha really won from this apart from album sales and going down in history when he was already legendary with word play.
It makes perfect sense. Drake didn’t end pusha career he brought him back to light. His shit don’t sell if he wasn’t in this back and forth with drake. When it’s all said and done drake will be one of the biggest artist of all time, pusha will be none for grinding and this beef.
Drake went at Kid Cudi in “Two Birds One Stone” too “ You was the man on the moon now you just go through your phases, life of the angry & famous,Rap like I know I'm the greatest Then give you tropical flavors Still never been on hiatus You stay xanned and perked up So when reality set in you don't gotta face it I'm down 200 in Vegas but winning life on a daily basis It seems like nobody wants to stay in my good graces I'm like a real estate agent, putting you all in your places Look what happens soon as you talk to me crazy” shit was crazy when this dropped

@@simonoberpertingermair2957 my guy Drake doesn’t have ghostwriters and there is literally no proof and you act like every rapper doesn’t have ghostwriters like drake wrote for Kanye before
Pusha T’s profile became higher, so he “won” the beef. Whenever a rapper of Drake’s popularity gets involved in these beefs with lesser known talent, they don’t win much or lose much. Pusha won a lot from this beef given how the hip hop community followed it and respected his work.
@@christanbaymon5833 - Doesn't matter if people were pop fans or whatever. The bottom line is more exposure. Pusha, as a solo artist, played this whole situation perfectly and got his name up. Drake only gained negative exposure when things turned personally and his business got put out there. J Prince saw where the beef was going and smartly told Drake to end it and take the L.
I agree with this as far as it made Push more relevant but I feel Drake still won. Listen to the lyrics on Duppy Flow. "Whoever supposedly makin' me hits, but ain't got no hits sound like they need me My hooks did it, my lyrics did it, my spirit did it I'm fearless with it, I really shouldn't have given you none of my time 'Cause you older than the nigga you runnin' behind"

Drake lost the war here and with meek tbh lmao drake haters would probably have nothing they could ever use against him if he was never exposed for using writes. That’s a big hit in your resume if you want to be considered one of the greatest rappers of all time. Notice how that never goes away til this day, and whether people care about it or not he’ll never be respected as a real rapper because of the writers and because for almost half of the last decade he leaned more towards his pop sound and catered to that audience more. Kendrick is a perfect example of a perfect balance if you want to be considered one of the greats. He does radio and sometimes pop shit but it isn’t his go to move.
My boy put me on Pusha T he was like yeah I don't understand how dope this man really is and over the years I've developed understanding of how dope his pain really is but these two documentaries buy diverse mentality has put him in my top ten now
Fun fact: exodus 23:1 (lil wayne diss) features the dream, who married Nivea and had 3 kids. Nivea is an ex r&b singer gillie da kid says lil wayne cried over in gillie's lil wayne diss "frontin like your daddy". Pusha T is a menace.
Damn, I hit you on IG to tell you, the song Money P*ssy Alcohol, in Pushas verse he said “The chick im messin with might start a rap war, can’t tell it yet!” He definitely had that info on Adonis EARLY.
Shoutout to Push for beating the prediction that Clipse would be a one hit wonder and fade into oblivion. So many people thought Pusha was a 1 trick pony but homeboy got bars.
Man, people born after 2000 think Drake won. Everyone remembers Grindin' 😂 Lord Willin' is one of the best rap albums out of the 2000s hands down. Top five for me.
Hov may have retracted his sentiment towards the song but the song was still released. Superugly was an incredible diss track. No holds bar tingz. And I don't think the point was to end Drakes careers or to slow momentum. Pusha T has said, in many interviews, that he is aware of his surroundings in terms of music and its not something that he is into. If we have to consider a person's star power then yes, Drake is, in essence, the bigger star and to day, there isn't a thing that has hurt his career. But it's fair to say that the way pusha T remains relevant in any conversation in this day and age is quite remarkable. We could say that Pusha T's career couldn't be hurt to. Both are successful in their own right(well at least we know one who writes). Both are solidified names in the industry and both are "untouchable" and "uncrushable". I think in this video, the consideration of impact on one's career was null and void. I think the war portion should have considered how long these two have been sending shots to each other and with the collection of that data, who blasted who.
perfectly said.... pusha killed drake in the battle.... but drake is a rly successful emcee so he wont be destroyed forever... he is one of the top selling emcees.... drake is just way bigger than pusha, even tho pusha technically is a better..... good vid quake!
Drake really is an enigma. He most certainly lost this battle, but only a MONTH after this career-shattering, soul-crushing diss track was released, how did the public react to it? They asked “Kiki? Do you love me?” while filming themselves dancing besides moving vehicles (or on top of a building if you’re Will Smith) and gave him another number 1 hit. The dude is untouchable. No rapper’s EVER had the run Drake has. The only others I’ve seen remotely close are 50 Cent and Lil’ Wayne.
So we just supposed to believe that Drake had a ultimate diss record that would end Kanye West career? GTFO 🤦🏿♂️ if that's even remotely true it was written by someone else just like all of Drake's songs 🤣🤡

In hindsight Drake talking about rappers making disses " more direct next time " is comical when I listening to him diss Kendrick Lamar presently especially after Kendrick said Drake's name ( among others )on a track where Kendrick is telling him he wants to spar .
I think the pusha/drake beef was very similar to the nas/jay beef. It was all in the music, the better song won but in the long term it didn’t effect anyone’s career because jay and drake are both to big to fail from a diss track. Pusha definitely had the better track, it made fans doubt drake for a few days then within a month most mainstream fans couldn’t care less about it.
If drake told kanye all of his business just because he told him "if we're gonna make music together you have to be open to me" that just shows how weak of a person he is
This is an awesome breakdown bravo on this video!!! So many things you put in perspective that most people would probably forget about or slip through the cracks. Like for instance the whole Drake black face thing. Not only did you show what Drake said about the photo, you also showed a reference to the video pertaining to the picture which was important to the story. I learned a lot from this video 👌🏾
Pusha T and Remy Ma both humbled tf out of Drake and Nicki Minaj. Those 2 haven’t been the same since 🤣 The whole thing with Drake and allegedly “having this track that could end Kanye West” is complete BS. This is war. Pusha T sent you a headshot. Push wasn't dissing 40 or wishing death on him. He's saying Drake needs 40 and 40 not gunna be around forever.
It may not have been wishing death but it definitely wasnt as innocent as you make it seem
That’s a big hit in your resume if you want to be considered one of the greatest rappers of all time.
