Sonic didn't have as many in-your-face references, but it offers an original story for Sonic. The second Sonic movie has way more references, and the plot started to integrate more video game themes. • @Megamanexe
      @Megamanexe Год назад +6

      Actually and since we are on the subject of Samurai Jack? If to make it more hard hitting for a Metroid style animated TV series. Have Craig [hope that the guy who made Samurai jack] do the show and make it VERY atmospheric and let the environments speak for themselves,, similar to how he did that Caveman...I think I am thinking of the right one, that caveman style animated show he did. Where it was all atmospheric and allowed the environments tell the story with very little to no dialogue. It can work for the foreboding sense of story telling, while still keeping the feeling of Samus being the only one on the planet.

This being said, I seem to be one of the few people that thinks the Sonic movies were absolutely terrible, a disgrace to Sonic as a character and franchise. Mario's movie on the other hand was fantastic. It is everything the Sonic movie should have been. Fully animated, and a story that uses the already established games as the basis for the story while keeping it original. Sonic had none of that. It made things up left and right and had almost no influence from games and established lore. Mario easily takes the cake for me on this one.
