  • Out on a mobile call again. 2017 Subaru Outback 2.5l with airbag Codes. It has a B1872 LH cushion airbag open and a B1876 RH cushion airbag short. Today we are going to walk though how to diagnose this quick and easy.

    Nice video! Do you know how many olms the resistor needs to be for the seat airbags?

      Spec for this vehicle said less than 10 ohms. I always look up specs and theory and operation before testing anything. If you don't understand the system you can't properly test it.

    I unplugged a seat airbag to throw a code and then reconnected it. The code stays and says it is a History code, and clearing it doesnt make it go away. Srs light stays on. I have a Launch CR629. Any clue how to clear this code?

      If it goes to history then it is not causing the problem. Scan the car with another tool and see if it is the same.

      @@RobertDotterer Found the answer...the code wont clear unless all of the SRS codes are clear. In my case, all airbags had to to fixed before any of the codes would clear.

    Where did you find that repair stuff I need this repair info for a 2021 Subaru Forester
