It worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My 2005 FXT came with V8 USDM STI seats, and I needed to do this on the passenger side. Light instantly turned off!!!!!!!!!! Woohooooo 🎉🎉
Mate just wanted to say this video saved my ass. Picked up a XR6T with aftermarket seats and airbag lights on, was pretty close to buying new seats to get a road worthy to put it in my name. This vid saved me a couple hundred cheers for that you earned my sub.
Hey Ryan which are the two plugs under the driver seat do these go into. You show the passenger side with the two center ones plugged in. Also do we disconnect the battery before doing this
not sure about the WRX but i did this in my 2010 RT Challenger and when I hit a tree at 50 mph the airbags did not deploy. Thank god for Sparco seats and harness.
I pulled up driver seat for amp installation under the seat. When i put it back. Airbag light on all time. Is there a way to reset it? My obd won't do it neither battery removal.
Hey man anything you tell me that will help with the sliders? I havent put em in yet but idk how thats gonna work im tryna find every video i can that will help
I have a 2009 SL600, looking to put in racing seats because my stock seats weight 120lbs each. How do you know what ohm resistors you need, there is absolutely no information on my car on the internet. Having a hard time finding the right resistor to do this mod.
@ryans random ridez were all of your airbags disabled because that airbag light was on? I installed a quick release in my wrx and the airbag light is on. Does this mean that my airbags are disabled? There’s a resistor mod for that as well would that enable all my airbags once i do the resistor mod? Thanks
I’m wondering the same thing!!! 😅 I’ve only swapped out my driver seat so far. 😅 do not want to pull that sensor pad out. I’m thinking the resistors will eliminate all the lights
This is late but just watching now thinking of switching seats but just so you know they don't look identical the colored rings that are different represent different numbers there's a standard code you can look up 3.3kohm is just 3300000 ohm instead of 3.3 ohm
I think you plugged the sensor in to the wrong yellow wire I think it would go off if you switched the Resistor and though why are you plugged in and it would be just on and off
@@RyansRandomActs sorry to bring up an old vid, but if the occupancy sensor was always reading present, then wouldn't you have a seat belt warning alert constantly? Are you sure it's not stuck in a passenger not present status? If that's the case, you won't get a seatbelt chime alarm if a passenger is on it with no seatbelt (which is a good way to test it). If the above is true, then your passenger airbags would never go off, even with a buckled in passenger present. The purpose of the passenger occupancy sensor is to first ensure seat belt compliance, and second to trigger or hold off on firing all passenger facing airbags (to limit potential repair costs).
All air bags work now with this and the occupancy sensor installed beside there are no side air bags in new seats. Which is why I had to put in resistors
@@RyansRandomActs thx for your answer. What was the turning point for you not getting a seat with airbag? probably price I guess. I am currently contemplating whether I should get the recaro sportster CS with or without airbag. It only comes with vag/vw plugs so I'd have to splice airbag wires and I'm not really too excited about that and thinking of saving the 350$ airbag price tag

Thanks for the video! It helped shut my air bag light off after my braum seat install.
I used the exact same registers. Didn't work for me
Hello! Is it work with 2008 GR STI ? Hatchback
Was it necessary to remove that passenger weight sensor? Or could we just put a 3.3 in it?
Once the airbag light goes out, will the airbag work in an emergency?

No, this disables the airbags and bypasses the fact that they're not working to give you the indication that they're fine.

I like how that exhaust sounds.
Do u think a 2.2 ohms can work??

The air bags were disabled because it needs to have the occupancy sensor installed and resistors. If you do that they will work.
If i disconnected the passenger dash board does it work
Do you need the occupany sensor in and the resistors? My seats I just got are carbon fiber and it prob wouldn’t sense anything

I bought these resistors and they did not work for me
Any fix since then?
You have to flip it the other way. The resistor colored bands show which way to install. If it didn’t work flip the other way.
Does the occupancy sensor work as its supposed to? Or is it still on all the time
It's on at all times. But having them on at all times is better than not having them at all

Does this have any affect on the entirety of the airbag system, or just the seats bag?

@@RyansRandomActs is the occupancy sensor only for the passenger? I assume because there will always be somebody on the driver seat lol

Have you done one for a seatbelt chime?
You have to click the seat belt button about 20 times fast and it should work
Can you help me with my WRX? I live in Indiana
👍
will this work on 05 sti seats ??
I'm not sure . Sorry.
Anyone put in a remote starter and have had airbag light come on?
Can I have the link
Hand over the cam at the end is considered rude I would not do it to a person and that is what it simulates. Just saying...
Youre dumm
