    Easiest way to open a stubborn jar is slip a butter knife under the lid, slight twist and allow air in.

    German wife, Cajun husband. I bet y'all have had some great arguments over the years, followed by some really great making up afterward! My German(ish) wife and I have loved pork chops and kraut for many years. Adding the potatoes gives a huge nudge toward my Irish lineage. Bravo, great video!

    My German Dad often made pork braised in sauerKraut when we were kids, I have been looking for a recipe that looks like his, yours looks really close except maybe even better! We are so going to make this!

    I just read a guy put in 1/2 can of beer (Coors Lite)...drank other half. Heck with water! Toss in tators & use crockpot. Yum..with ribs, etc too!

    I just want to say that I commend you for making your own cooking
    channel. Way to go!!! I noticed you only have one video out since May of 2020.
    Did you quit or are you going to continue cooking here on RUclips?

    That looks and sounds amazing, I will try it like this with the potatoes 🥔, plus I run hot water over my jar lids and they open great, a man told me to do that 😉

    Buy a rubber piece of round thin rubber it opens jars up very easy…we’re in our late 60s and it helps a lot

    Why didn't you brown the meat first? Will it cause it to dry out if you do, browning adds so much to the flavor I thought?

      I follow his recipe, but I browned the pork chops in bacon fat first.

    How many pigs were slaughtered for this recipe? That's a ton of chops in there!!!
