You're a huge help. Thanks man. I am trying to set up my first plane, which is a T1 Ranger with 2 separate motors & no rudder. This is a little different than my EdgeTX but you got me close enough that I was able to figure the rest out.
Thanks for the awesome videos, as of right now I got a X9d plus with Edgetx, planning on getting an t16s but what I can't seem to find anywhere is how to setup reverse thrust and don't wanna a spektrum radio, but only I can find reverse thrust for the spektrum and since I'm I got a turbo timber evo coming I want that feature but for the x9d+ and future T16s, can you please let me know or maje a video about it, oh and any other esc with reverse thrust, thank you!
I’m not totally sure, that’s a great question, probably has to do something with mixing throttle as 0% at the midpoint, allowing for negative values to reverse the motor.
I get the jist of it and will come back to this video if I ever find myself with an OpenTX radio and needing differential thrust setup. So, looking back at the video just before this one it looks as if the plane itself does not have a rudder, correct? Asked a another way... differential thrust provides all the yaw, correct?
Thanks. Good video. Could you do a follow up on how to make the “Weight” variable through the S1/2 dial or one of the sliders? ( 0% to 50% at min/max of the dial/slider). Idea would be to fine tune the diff thrust while you are flying.
I don't know why, mine ain't working right.... Rudder input works like a charm, but the left side starts glitching the moment the other motor runs up, throttle up keeps the glitch going, until the individual channel value is higher than the other motor's, and the glitch starts again after they match.... Using a separate battery for receiver and dshot1200 esc's
@@CustomFPV yep yep It's alright now... The cause was a faulty receiver, which was involved in a small excess-current accident, resulting in the negative terminal of 2 channels to not work properly 😂
@@CustomFPV ooh ooh, one more thing....any idea how I can increase the end points? For servos?? Also, any idea about the Matek systems elrs-pwm receiver? Mine is not going into bind mode with the recommended program....
no you'll handle the mixing in the inav config tool. Just a warning inav doesnt handle diff thrust too well in stabilized modes and can crash your plane.
Thanks for the tutorial. It helps a lot and even explains the concept of mixing on OpenTX.
Thanks, appreciate your video. Helped me with setting up differential thrust!
Glad to hear, love your channel as well!
2 years later still working like a charm!
Thanks
same here!! thanks for watching

nice and simple thanks a lot!!
I think you saved me at least an hour trying to set this up on my own. Thanks.
Glad I could help.
Thanks a lot.
Of course!!
Thanks for the tutorial, even though I currently have a Flysky transmitter, most of these concepts are the same so this was very helpful!
For sure! Just knowing what is actually being done is half of the learning!

keep going :) , which diy plane do you think i should learn on
Thanks! I recommend the FT simple scout, all around best plane for beginners that I have tested. I’ve got lots of videos of it on my channel.
@@CustomFPV Thanks
thanks for the shout out! 🙌
Thanks for the request! Hope you found it helpful!

Okay, I will look into it. Thanks for watching!
In tx16s, what is the difference between insert before and insert after, when making mixes?
That will determine if the line is controlled by the input above or below.
What if we choo off vertical stabilizer completely with this setup?
this does the same thing as a rudder surface would do but it’s quite a bit more effective in most cases
@@CustomFPV have you try it? i mean fly without rudder and without vertical stab, only with diff thrust.. will it has tail wag?
Just set up a FliteTest P-38. Thanks!

have you checked your channel mapping?

So i can use this on a plane that has flight controller / inav ? are there any extra steps i have to make ? Thanks in advance

you rock
No problem. Glad I could help.
great job!
Thanks buddy
