  • I’ve been having a rough idle and inconsistent acceleration with my truck for the last several months. I’m going to start troubleshooting by changing the O2’s since I already have them on hand.

My code said bank2 so is that in the manifold or the one after the cat ? When I had them scan the code all it said was bank2. I do have a little bit of a rough idle and loss of fuel mpg.

Bank 2 is on the passenger side of the vehicle. Sensor 1 is before the cat and sensor 2 is after the cat.

@@canz8tercustumz see they said their scanner didn’t say what sensor so I’m not sure which one is bad

@@howardmiller4241 the sensors before the cat affects engine operations such as black smoke, idle issues, rough engine operation. The sensors after the cats usually don’t affect engine operation, only provides communication to the ECM about exhaust temps.

I’m having this same issue. Replaced sensors and still have rough idle. Did replacing the cat work?

I didn’t replace the cats, I had water in my fuel tank so I had to clean it out and once the injectors were completely water free, it started running a lot better.

Did you have any issues getting to the first o2 sensor bank2 1
What did you do to get access
      Just lift?
      Take tire off?

@@jeremywayne3485 no, the sensors were pretty easy to get to.
