Remember watching this live back in 2017. All of NZ had flash backs.
Some one asked...so the answer is YES this is 2017 race.....and you've seen the best the Americans will do in race 6
So amazing listening to an AC race without Shirley Robertson's screeching/shouting voice sounding like 17 shovels being dragged down a concrete driveway. Please do not ever allow her to commentate on any event, ever again.
Only reason they won is because burling let them split lol only mistake he made in AC 35
USA were lucky at the top of leg 5. They got a huge lift and NZ were knocked. Luck. Spithills comment to his team after the race "here we go" was encouraging but not to be. NZ were way superior in that regatta.
And the current 36th one just run in new zealand 7 - 3 over luna Rossa in the new ac75 class which is faster than these cats😳😳😳🍻
gee the look on the us faces looks like they have already been beaten lololol
I have a feeling that the Kiwis will win all the following races. Yesssssss
Absolutely 👍 💯 There’s no doubt about that, ETNZ WON THE AMERICA’S CUP 🏆 🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Need morw time between posting the races. Toutube had race 6 up before 5. Also I wish you would turn off comments until the day after you post the race, not everyone's watching this live.
Mark Winkelman , speechless!
It literally has the date of the race in the description. Unless your internet connection has the worst lag in the history of computing, this is far from live.
@@kwerk2011 Looking forward to March 2021 when the next [New Zealand] Cup will be held in Auckland. ... Grant Dalton says, "The geography of Auckland allows many exciting race course options in close proximity to elevated vantage points for spectators on land." Sounds like a Great Time!!
Here we go, here we go .... yeah right ! Jimmy
These catamarans are way more enjoyable to watch than the foiling monohulls.
no Ken, otherwise they were useless
Much better start by Spithill then a shocker of a first gybe. They have definitely found more speed. Then another monumental blunder by US at the bottom of leg 4. Their last gybe on that leg was 30 seconds too late. In spite of all that, their boat speed got the win. "here we go", famous last words.
Sounds like bias reporting. Was not as great as announcers made it out to be. NZ nearly won again.
But they raced well I think they deserved it this race just for the effort
EXCELLENT COVERAGE
Are these the 2017 race?
yeah old stuff
Yes, this is 2017.
these races would be WAY better with 3-4 boats.
Its Americas Cup, match racing not fleet racing
Great race Jimmy and Team
Great, tight race.....C'mon men and bring THE trophy home!!
This footage is two years old mate...
I liked it better when match racing was, well, match racing. And this isn't it.
Frank Cyzyl what do you mean,30 knots plus ,skill beat money here
This is match racing......... At high speed.
Go USA!
So the Oregon finally found some decent speed, making for a significant equalization. Wondering what was done and why they hesitated so long. But there'll probably be answers to look up, this was after all two years ago...
Actually wish they could still used boats.
Here we go... home
@Angelous Bacon 🤣👌
when you have no lines and no grinding, it's not really sailboat racing. Bring back the good ol' mono-hulls of the past. Those were great to watch.
earths flat...the kiwis let ya win...otherwise u all throw ya toys out of the play pen..LOLOL
STFU already
