After an even start and a good upwind leg, the boats crossed at the gate (INEOS ahead by 1") but as they rounded the buoy Checco Bruni detected a malfunction in Luna Rossa's port foil arm (it was later discovered that it had already given problems on the first leg). The arm did not rise and after the maneuver the hull immersed in the water head first. Also this is part of the race. Luna is better but tries all the time to find something out to lose.

Anslie want a penality for LR, because the tape was not regular and approved! I'm jocking naturally, but when you see a team where everyone, is working hard to repair the boat, with the skipper Sirena too, while put the tape and band aid on a boat, that we could call broken luna "Luna rotta" instead of Luna Rossa, I really can say they are a great team, no matter if they win or lost. Honour to the Britishs too, they are very strong. Anyway every day we got a surprise and suspense.
Ainsli try the same Startbox Manoeuvre from Race4 (no Penalty) to show „i was right“…bad Idee and ends with a Boundry Penalty. England is a Monarchy but Ineos is a Team and needs a Team Leader and not a Team King. I think Ineos and Ainsli himself is to much focused to Ainsli. Not much time left to correct this, but if he concentrate only to his Sail Performance and let the Team work, they can win it👍
You have to say advantage Italia, whenever they’re in front they look more comfortable to hold on to it. Much cleaner round the marks as well. Ineos looks built for a gale as compared to the silver bullet, they had better hope for some.

Andrebbe chiesto ai neozelandesi come mai solo in alcuni team si sono avuti problemi.

Resta che LR sulla concezione è fragile su alcune parti: alla seconda impruata ha danneggiato il fairing (la copertura) e qua i neozelandesi non centrano nulla. A forza di voler alleggerire il materiale si fragilizza l’imbarcazione.

I well know that on a boat anything can break. But why so many issues? Gears are much the same for all teams. If there is an equal likelihood of failure I'd start worring if I where Ineos... who knows that they will break something just at the final crucial race...
All the system that controls the foil arms us sourced by New Zealand team. It includes also the hydrauluc and electronic system, including software. No modifications are allowed.
It should be asked to New Zealand technical team why there are so much failures in certain teams.

The main commentators is absolutely useless. He has little to offer and has poor sailing knowledge. He frequently gets things wrong, even referencing boats that aren't even in the race as having been in the race. The commentary would be better without him.

I watch two minutes of the start then slide the video to the last leg. Whoever is in front by leg 2 pretty much stays in front. This has been some of the most boring match racing I’ve ever seen……

I can't believe Ineos went out of bounds. There were only two boats in the water.Ben gifted that race to Luna Rosso.
You do wonder if Britannia as the slower boat knows it needs to eke out penalties rather than sailing to victory. If Luna Rossa can stop breaking things they seem to be the main contender at present. I love the setup where we have so little idea how the winner will shape up against New Zealand.
