9:59 Watching Seth work is so satisfying. Even little things like the care he shows tightening this down is representative of the care and attention to everything he does, and every decision he makes.
Learned to prep and paint my crx by watching watching your videos I’ll give the credit back to you. At first my family thought why so obsessed with RUclips 😂 now I’m trying to restore my e30. We will never meet in person but I’ll let you know your effort to make those videos surely brings a positive impact to a lot of people 🚙🚙🚙🙏👍 I thank you watching from California
Awesome! Glad to play a small part in you getting your car restored! It’s worth it once it’s all done and you know the work you had to put in to get it there.
These are priceless videos. I have a 1989 K24A2 CRX. I want to start cleaning out up. The engine may not be factory but I like everything else to. I'm missing the rear hatch cargo cover.
Beautiful car. Much respect to the hard work. I’m just about to tackle the same trim pieces on my 91 si I’m excited. It’s been since 2018 that I took it all off for paint just getting back around.
The only one that’s an issue is the top one. The other ones still have the black on them. I’ve yet to figure out the solution for the top one. That’s why it’s still missing.
Been watching your progress for awhile now. Love the attention to detail and the fact you use SEM paint for your painting needs. I would have painted the mud flaps or heated them slowly and discolored them back to matte black. Car looks really good man.
Great video! I just got these and had a question if anyone could help me out. Is it normal to hear a oil sloshing sound when moving the coilovers? I have a front one that makes a slight oil sloshing sound but the others don’t. Should this be a concern?
You're too dope. I know you do things on your own pace, BUT what if I wanted YOU to restore my crxs? I'm in California, but I LOVE your dedication and work. I've watched all your crx videos and I'm always impressed. I have a 88 Y49 that's very sentimental to me, but needs your help. Anyway, just thought I'd chime in and say thanks for the videos and keeping it real. -Bless
Thank you! I appreciate the words of support. Honestly, I don’t currently do work for people as I like to make my own decisions and work on my own timeline since I have a full time job. This car has been ongoing since 2021, so it’s definitely a long process that has its hits and misses, especially finding parts.
I love your videos. I have a question I use SEM trim black on my side skirts and I don't know why it doesn't dry well, the preparation I did was I cleaned them with soap and a little sanding, I put 3 coats 10 minutes between each one and after 24 hours the marks of my fingers are still visible, if you can help me I would appreciate it
@@crxseth Yeah I basically heard the same thing. The front of the car has torsion bars that you lower from a 17 mm nut people say to use KYB shock dampers for the front as well which can ultimately give you that 1.4 drop.
Because they make the fronts small for the EF forks, but include spacers for the EG+ front forks. I had to change to the 89+ rear lower control arms for it to work.
That annoying moonroof is one thing I wish they had left off of the Si. It's totally unnecessary, and one of the few things that gave me problems with my '85.
They aren’t the best option out there, but these are a little better than their normal ones. I’ll probably buy some Silvers, S3, or potentially some Fortune Auto for my ITR and eventually the S2000 if I can muster up the cash for them. Haha.

Great progress on the restoration. Always enjoy your uploads and progress. Never gets old watching one of your videos.
Gotta love the style of those OEM wheels. I've always wanted to see a CRX with the 08W15-SR3-660-F optional Euro EG VTi alloys.

That S2000 trim gasket is a life saver. It has been used on so many people's builds haha. I used it on my G35 front lip.
It’s perfect for so many edge applications.
This channel is underrated great content as always
Thanks!
SEM PAINT is the way for all interior plastics and Carpet 💪
Great progress! Looks amazing! Pay day coming soon!
Like the detail on the door trim. Clever idea. Im restoring my crx also and learning. Mine goes in aug to the painter. Pewter grey. Ed9 ✌🏻🇳🇱
Mint and those wheels really finish off the build. Very nice Seth
Thanks again! 🙏🏻
Another great video Seth! Every time I watch one it takes me back oh so many years! Keep them coming!
i was like damn seth getting fancy with the parts roll out on the stool threw me off for sec lol

I’ve been working on this one for like 1.5 years now. Time passes fast when you’re trying to restore a car.
This was so satisfying to watch
Looking good! Excited to see what you do with the hatch trim pieces that peel on all of our CRXs
The only one that’s an issue is the top one. The other ones still have the black on them. I’ve yet to figure out the solution for the top one. That’s why it’s still missing.
I follow you since a frist episode of CRX restore, i love you work way, allways prest atettion a all detail. Grettings!
Damn I can't wait until it's finished! Mine is just going to be OEM though, I don't see many 91 Tahitian greens on the road anymore let alone stock.
Beautiful crx👍🏻👍🏻
You have answered a lot of questions so thank you 😊
Always excited for a new video, great work!
I’ve been waiting for this only can’t wait till match up both crx in the sun
Unbelievable job car looks so nice now 😮😂
Seth, like always, awesome video, great job
Thanks! 🙏🏻

I thought that they might not hold up long term to painting. One is textured and cracking some so the paint wouldn’t be a super nice finish.
@@crxseth gotcha. Does Honda even make those mud flaps anymore?
@@marklinley815 No. they are VERY difficult to find
I just found NOS side window moldings from Honda... still available.. only 1988 US and 88-91 Canada models.
killing it like always
The gooood content just keeps coming!!
car look sick lowered with factory wheels!
Looking fresh man! I’ve been trying to do this with my eg hatch!
Such a cool car love it
It looks so good 😍👍🏼
Wow 😩😩🥹🥹🥹
great videos here love the channel love to see you do an ek or em1
Clean
Great videos as always. I think you should put a carbon cap on the sunroof and just delete it
I wish Honda had never included that silly moonroof. It's totally unnecessary, and the only thing that ever gave me any trouble with my '85.

I’m really not sure? Temperature?
Seth, where you get the various clips for the different exterior molding pieces? A lot of mine broke off when I disassembled it
I bought mine used from people on Facebook. You can also buy 3D printed ones on eBay.
It looks really great nice low profile stance for sure💪 will these coil overs fit on a 1st generation CRX as well?
No, the 84-87 CRX uses different suspension.
@@crxseth Yeah I basically heard the same thing. The front of the car has torsion bars that you lower from a 17 mm nut people say to use KYB shock dampers for the front as well which can ultimately give you that 1.4 drop.
Any update on the T7 coils over time? There's a Black Friday sale that is really great and was thinking of snagging a set.
I never had any issues out of them while I owned them. Good cheap option but they have no customer service or much quality control.
What is the drop 1 inch. Going from 2 in lowering springs to adj coils
✨👏✨👏✨👏✨👏✨👏✨
love your videos. were can I find those exterior widow trim pieces ?
Which ones?
@@crxseth the black ones that go from the mirror to the end of the widow driver and passenger
nice
Hey Seth, question I have a 90 civic hatch but the link you provided for the coilovers says it's for the Ej civic. Will they still work for my hatch?
Yes.
@@crxseth Thank you.
did you find the long self-adhesive rubber on the bottom molding of the door
I’m not sure which one you’re talking about. Maybe I missed it?
I send PM to Facebook
@@phil2975 The link to this trim is in the description, and the part number is shown in the video.
Is there anything you spray before you shoot the SEM trim paint? You get great results. Love the channel.
You need to sand with 320 and/or red scuff pad, use a great degreaser cleaner and you want to completely dry, then use a plastic adhesion promoter.
Where can I get trim replacements? Are they discontinued? I need the trim for my fender just that small piece.
Long discontinued. You have to buy secondhand.
@@crxseth sad day haha. Thanks for the info. I will do my best trying to get that piece lol
How did you know the T7s would be compatible?
On its site MaXpeedingRods only allows installation on Civic/CRX 92-95.
Because they make the fronts small for the EF forks, but include spacers for the EG+ front forks. I had to change to the 89+ rear lower control arms for it to work.
Ok for the front.
So since the EE8 is roughly phase 2, there shouldn't be a problem for the rear.
@@CrxBreizh That should be true.
Where u get the mudpad or "chapaletas" in spanish?
Damn Seth you the truth I wanna restore my crx where do you find all those parts
All over. Have to look around various places.
link to the trim clips?
I don’t have a link. I used the original clips.
Will those fit an 89 CRX SI
Yes.
Is this crx already spoken for?
It’s not yet on the market.
That annoying moonroof is one thing I wish they had left off of the Si. It's totally unnecessary, and one of the few things that gave me problems with my '85.
bro where did you find front mud flaps? can i buy them? 😛😛😛
I’m always on the hunt. I found them several months ago.
Are you lucky enough to not have any broken tabs on those hub caps?
I repaired one, but they are intact.
What’s the price gonna be
I’m not sure yet. Thinking about $12,500.
Lil lower pls 😨😮💨
It settled a little bit.
I like the shirt. Send me a link

Thank you very much to tell us the idea to use S2000 molding 😃.
First😎
We get that ur sponsored but those coilovers are seriously trash n that’s actual fact not opinion

Stop putting those garbage parts on cars.
Also you need a haircut
😂
I had one less than a week ago.
