13:56 Watching that speedomer console go in reminded me how I used to live on redline in my '85 Si. Used to wring the piss out of it as a 16 y/o car enthusiast. It was a lot better to me, than I was to it. I sold it with 110,000 miles, running perfeclty, and the only thing that failed on me was the alternator. Wasn't even burning any oil.
Crx Seth your a perfectionest, enjoy all your content just takes me back to my youth wen I used to own a crx been looking n looking for one no luck here in Tucson
Man that interior's clean. Especially the dash. The entire time you were prepping it I was saying to myself "don't flock it" 🤣 Should've trusted you better. A+ job
If I'm not mistaken it's not necessary to remove the vent to unplug the clock while removing the dash. Can be done from behind but I think doesn't need unplugged.
Hi Seth, don't you have on the USDM models, the hard rear HP plastics intended to stiffen the rear linings? On my dashboard, I disassembled the metal structure to sand it and varnish it with Rustol (owatrol).
You are doing an amazing job. In the last video when you removed the sound deadening from the floor pan you didn't apply new sound deadening pads, are you leaving it out or reapplying later?
Can you tell me what you're using for the rubber seals you put around the hvac vents under the dash? Mine have completely disintegrated on my EG Hatch and I haven't come across a good solution until I saw this video. Thanks!
@@crxseth i couldn't sell it.I've had my crx since 1998 and I drove it until 2008 and its just been sitting for 15yrs😔 in the carport. Its out of the sun and no rain touches it. One day ill get it back on the road again.
@@crxseth say if you had a price on doing a restore on a crx I would pay you the cash to do my crx. And that would be some good content, restoring a subscribers crx...... And keep up the awesome work.
Hi. I enjoy watching all the progress. I'm a long-time viewer and very interested buyer. My husband met you at the tail of the dragon event a couple of years back. We want to buy it. Just name your price!
I’ve seen people have issues with evenness with flocking, and I didn’t want to chance it not turning out as nice as a uniform finish. I bought a flocking kit, but never felt good about that option.
Not a fan of fully flocked dashboards, but flocking the upper trim to match the door-cards would have made sense. I've just filled some cracks in the polypropylene dash structural plastic (top demist area) of my EG with superglue & sodium bicarbonate. Can be sanded afterward but hard not to loose texture.
I don’t have a buyer, but I have several people that have expressed interest. I do not know a price yet. I have to tally up the time and expenses first.
I like the 1988 since it’s lighter, and doesn’t have the door mounted seat belts in the USA. It just needs some brake upgrades since they were a bit undersized.
You must be the incarnation of Houdini because this transformation is magical!
Haha!
Glad to see someone else using SEM instead of Duplicolor. 😁
Looks amazing! Everything you are doing looks outstanding!
Thanks so much!
That rivet gun on the vin plate was super satisfying.
That is looking insane. I live in Portugal and we have a few cool CRXs but i think this one is the best i ever seen... Wow... Great Work Mate.❤
Wow, thank you!

Absolutely outstanding work.
The way it looks now is incredible.
Let's Go Jimmy Dale, one time for the one time!
It's a thing of beauty. Wish I could find a SIR crx one day and restore it to this high standard.
This car has come along way, excellent work Seth!
Thank you! Super happy with how it’s turning out.

Love those crank handles ❤
Great 👍 job man Looks beautiful
Your work is amazing with this car, keep both of it 😊, I am watching your chanel from Hungary.
Thanks for watching!
cant wait for PART 50
Can’t wait to be done!
Great video! You only missed trim painting the glove compartment release latch😂
I may go ahead and do that since it is quite faded. Just a couple screws for that one.
Another home run buddy 🔥💪🤙 the door panels look sick!! Love the way they look.
Thank you!
Loving the progress so far!
Thanks!
Looks good seth
It would be nice if you could also like the video alongside your love-filled comments, folks !!!
Thanks!
Looks awesome bro
You are a CRX wizard.
Man that interior's clean. Especially the dash. The entire time you were prepping it I was saying to myself "don't flock it" 🤣 Should've trusted you better. A+ job
Looking mint! Glad you didn’t flock the dash.
Looking good Seth
Thank you.
looks awesome
looking so sweet
Love the videos
Man this was sooooooo good. ❤😊
Incredible work as usual Seth. I did half expect you to have flocked the dash in this video though 😆
Don’t think I didn’t seriously consider it.
Looks great!
Thanks!
Hey that felt could be a good way to fix ef door card's. Well the hatchback and crx
Are all the rear pieces new? I have the blue interior and they are sun faded. I also have a small crack in th dash.
No, the rear pieces were repainted.
If I'm not mistaken it's not necessary to remove the vent to unplug the clock while removing the dash. Can be done from behind but I think doesn't need unplugged.
You’re right. If you leave the dash harness on the dash, you don’t have to mess with the clock.
@@crxseth I was just thinking to avoid cracking the vent as some are really fragile.
@@TheJohnnyef9 I broke one trying to remove it, so I agree. Leave it in place.
Hi Seth,
don't you have on the USDM models, the hard rear HP plastics intended to stiffen the rear linings?
On my dashboard, I disassembled the metal structure to sand it and varnish it with Rustol (owatrol).
I’m not aware of any additional plastics in the rear.
Amazing as always, the dash looks amazing, takes me back to car sharing at work with someone who had a black 91 SiR
Such a great inspiration. Sadly I have a dash with the top felt part which has sun burnt patches...any options to fix this ? Much appreciated
You could probably re-flock it, but I would almost sand it all down and do what I did with the vinyl paint.
@@crxseth thanks heaps

Leaving it out.
Good thing you didn’t flock it because mine wasn’t all even out .! .. it’s all weird now but the reason why people flock it is the dang sun glare..
Yeah, pros and cons of each.
This CRX is going to end up in some museum or big collector garage.
All because Seth wanted the hood from it. 😂
Hahaha. That’s so funny that you remember that’s why I bought the car.
Can you tell me what you're using for the rubber seals you put around the hvac vents under the dash? Mine have completely disintegrated on my EG Hatch and I haven't come across a good solution until I saw this video. Thanks!

@@crxseth Hey whatever works! Thanks!
That Dash was immaculate!!! Looks Great!!! How much are you selling it for if you sell it?
I’m not sure of a price yet. I’ve had several good offers.

Man my 88crxsi needs the SETH touch.
Sell it to me. ;)

@@kings17court WE WISH! We were so bummed out when he announced he sold it! I'm really happy for whoever got lucky enough to buy it. ☺️
So the dash looks fantastic, but was there a reason for not flocking it?

Do you have a buyer.? And do know how much you’re going to be asking for it.?

At least 10/15k this this is basically going to be brand new from the Seth factory
@@crxseth 👍🏾 it’d be cool to see who ends up with it.
So nice!
How old is CRX Seth?
I'm just curious: what ballpark price would crxseth sell something like this for? Thinking around 12-15k?
That sounds somewhat reasonable to me. I’ll have to check out the spending and see how the market is once it’s done.
Hey Seth sure youve been asked but what year CRX do you think is best and why?
I like the 1988 since it’s lighter, and doesn’t have the door mounted seat belts in the USA. It just needs some brake upgrades since they were a bit undersized.
are you using that 90-91 cluster sub harness??? $$$
No plans to do so. I might throw some stuff on Facebook or eBay to sell before I scrap the green CRX.
What is the base coat for dashboard you used
Link is in the video description.
Did you use the SEM gloss or satin?
Landau Black. Link is in the video description.
what did you use to paint the dash again?
SEM color coat, greatest interior paint of all time
