i grew up here in from 1971-1999... parents msu profs. this town looks NOTHING like it used too! Back in the late 70's the downtown was a bit more like A2- more diverse in it's shops and there were two movie theaters there one of which was real old school with the balconies and ornate decorations. they tore one of them down to make that "habitrail" parking garage (what we called it when it was first built) in the U of M colors...
