Love it how your lovely lady evolved since the beginning of your trip. At first she was very shy, not wanting to appear in front of your camera. Now she's as entertaining as you are ! You two look great on that Honda. Even more doing off road riding ! Keep on riding and pleasing us with your stories ans videos.
The effect with the seeping clay edge is pretty easy to explain: Clay is impenetrable for water. As water sinks through the top soil layer it collects on the clay and percolates through to that edge where it comes out. A natural sealing layer. No rot, other tan with plastic or bitumen seals like those that are put under basements.
@@iPedroMota oddly enough, these are usually found in permanently wet surroundings, where there is no oxygen available for microbes which could break down the fibres of the wood, so there's be a good chance for them surviving over such a layer of clay.
U actually got a sauna house, it's made just for the sauna and drinking area. It's one of the better things we do drink chill in sauna ,drink and sit in sauna again , untill u pass out on those couches or go home
Hi Pedro! Im so proud that you are visiting my my home town Ventspils... Sad i didnt catch you on the streets,i was celebrating my name day by the river in the forests that day😄would give you a place to stay and show you the best Trails and secret spots around haha! Best of luck to you!!!
Cheers Janis! Yeah the city was very quiet even when being fully booked but now I understand it's because people go into the countryside to celebrate right?
@@iPedroMota Yeah, pretty much. Also the "cottage" you landed probably wasn't on booking or air because that was theyr private "sauna house" - they use it for going to sauna, having parties etc... Might be on some local sites for rent, but maily for their own use. So probably the owners of the previous place you tried did you a huge favor. :)
Holiday season leads to shortages. Glad you still found something. All the best for your journey, I've never been in the Baltics. Günter from Nürnberg/Germany
Man the busy days I was confident in my offline room finding abilities were brutal, not able to find a place for the night. This happened again. Things have changed compared to 10 years ago, almost all places are online now and will be found. Less chance of finding that obscure vacant little place.
Bring a tent! That's what I used to have on me for many years, always an easy and cheap solution. But otherwise book days in advance to avoid this sort of thing (but that isn't my style of traveling).
It's crazy how nobody else is in the beach, where are all the people? Atlas looks good, my Aprilia RSV just got stolen, 2 guys lifted it onto a van, less than one minute and it was gone. Police say they can not get it for me unless it's in "plain sight", I have a tracker, it's inside a house. Very dangerous, the police are wearing bulletproof vests. Thanks for the vids, regards to Marishka.
Generally it's impressive how thinly populated the Baltics are, even city centres on a Saturday. Though what I understood was that during Jani a lot of people go into the countryside. Sorry to hear that, rough stuff, that's in the UK right? I hear they even go pick them up in parking garages there, just stress when you have a nice bike. Good luck mate.
@@iPedroMota I'm near New York City, not safe even inside garages, they don't get investigated or prosecuted generally, unless the police try to break up a "ring". Ride safe man.
Latvia has 500km of shoreline, of which 100% are sand or pebble beaches. So if you go even a little bit outside of a town or city, the whole beach is yours.
No microphone, using a 'windslayer'. No perfect but a few tricks while riding help like staying low behind the wind screen and having the helmet all the way open while speaking.
Awesome 😎 I really love your channel, not only for the content but also because I'm a fellow traveler myself and I can definitely learn something from you. If you're ever curious, check me out ✌️
Obviously it's not a coincidence that you just finished making comments about how to be the system and the system starts blocking all availability because all the places are really booked up. Now we'll never know. ha ha Fun adventure. NO KITCHEN? Sounds like some sort of bungalow cabin set up? Looks nice. No sleeping to speak of though. I mean why do you need to have a big bedroom? It's just for sleeping anyway? Thanks for the visit.
Probably from being perpetually abroad, remove filler words and adjust to similar accent to make limited communication better, happens automatically. Not always necessary but I don't even notice it a lot of times until watching the footage.

Yeah she turned out to be a trooper, cheers!

Cool, functions like a sort of massive water collector. What you say about clay reminds me of when they find still semi intact Viking ships.

That makes sense, cool. All that was missing inside was a big bathtub then for the icecold water.
Lol you can see how uncomfortable that man was when you said Lithuania😂
But he wasnt far from true. Lithuania has only 99km of beach, and its packed, easier and cheaper go to Latvia.

@@iPedroMota Maybe take a tent for backup? Hope you find stays much easier from now on.
In Liepāja you missed the northern forts - those are more spectacular.
I know I know I know, I later saw the pictures with the fort ruins on the beach and in the water, so cool. Big miss!
Oh, great, i would like to hear your reservation advice for bike travellers :)

Great time, i enjoy such rustical places like that :)

"Jā" it's perfect pronunciation of Latvian "Yes". 😄 Welcome to Latvia.
Hi Pedro, enjoyed this installment on your adventures. Just how many languages do you know and converse in? It seems you are very multilingual.
Cheers! Converse properly Dutch, Portuguese, English. Spanish very basic stuff. German and French are just vibes.
Can you tell me how do you record your voice while driving?

@@iPedroMota In my opinion, the voice is of very good quality.
I can never understand what your girlfriend says, but she's very sweet.
Come to my town, Skuodas haha :)
We were so close!

No room at the inn…!👀
I believe we’ve heard this story. But how ironic that this version is caused by a pagan holiday 🧐😎😜
Peace
I made mention of that story indeed but it didn't make the cut for the sake of brevity. There's those who say Jani is bigger than Christmas here.

Ride safe you two.

@@iPedroMota The bike’s spiritual home. Awesome. Sadly I don’t know India. Many places still to see.
Ride safe.

Better not get caught speeding or jumping traffic lights. Bob won't be overly pleased with a grainy "postcard" "Thanks for visiting Latvia. Pay up"
Goodday from Sydney are you going to RIGA if so a town not so far from that is BAWSKA not 100 on its spelling my dad came from there thanks
G'day mate. Bauska? We later took the route from the coast to Riga

It seems peculiar the way you just add some new accent whenever you’re speaking english to others
