We depart from Peters house in Iecava after a nice long hospitable stay. Off-road across the the countryside we ride into Riga which could be considered the 'capital of the Baltic'. A massive history city on the river and the sea. Riding on a Honda motorcycle.

'normal guy, normal situations, normal good' what a great line from Peter.
Great stay, we'll be back at his place
Why are you saying the place names with a Russian accent? I feel really offended by that because Latvian is nothing like it. During the occupation, Soviets try to russify us and wipe out our ethnicity. I know that a lot of Russians still live here and I have nothing against them but the place names were Latvian therefore Baltic not Slavic.
Nice video though, I love what you do. Sorry about the backlash I'm just very patriotic and it hurts when my country gets misrepresented. I just had to get this off my chest, I'm sorry.
See that yellow balloon... 🎈 Our family was driving home with the newborn baby 👶 in a car that had like 18 ballons :D Just 4 of them made it home safe. The rest were spread in the city and you even got to kick that 😃
what a life!. its great u bring us along thanks good job on the videos wonderful to see the far away places u go, and show us around them. awesomeness. 😁
Hey, offroad riding with a pillion. Never done that. Maybe both of you could explain how that feels. And how it's done best.
Thanks, Günter from Nürnberg/Germany
very nice video im from iecava and u just pop up in youtube and forte gym the place where you jumped off from the rope klonins and very nice video overall deserves a like
Love the part where you asked your pillion to stand because if they dint they could slide underneath you.
I did exactly that outside Buckingham in the UK. We went over a hump back bridge bit quickly. I stood up, she didnt. She ended up against the tank and couldnt find the pegs to pedal her way backwards. I spent the next 5 minutes stood up as she regained her seat and her posture. Daft thing is she loved it! 🤷♂️
Funny how that goes ha, took me completely by surprise too that!
greetings from latvia
Its IECAVa ot Lecava...
I wasn't surprised to see the old train, but I was surprised to find out Rigas was a big manufacturer of locomotives and trams. Rīgas Vagonbūves Rūpnīca (RVR) was a Latvian rail and tram vehicle manufacturer, most notable for its multiple unit trains and tram vehicles used throughout the Soviet Union and its successor states. Russia has teamed up with foreign manufacturers now to update technology.
Love those old machines. Just generally a cool thing to see all kinds of old vehicles while riding through post-Soviet countries. Like they had a different take on things before everything in the world became the same.
Hey Mate. Thats NOT how you apply the lube
Another good one mate and your girl friend becomes more delightful each episode. For the life of me I can't recall ever hearing her name so what is it?
Known places for me 😁 but so nice to watch thru your interpretation.
That gene, now pulling my leg to get out for a long ride again
You’re meant to lube the chain from the inside ✌🏻
Really Amazing 🤩👍 video as usual good
Look at this bice....I mean, mosquito :D
Bloody mosquito sucking up the gains brah
Ride safe Pedro!
Just visited the Baltics, but stayed away from Riga, due to perpetual rain. Gonna be fun to see what I missed out on.
Yeah was hot for us, luckily just after the heatwave
I rest my case....keeper!
I'm sure there are plenty of people that will complain about any topic. What seems strange is if someone wants to complain about travel video footage on a travel video channel is how come they don't know how to use FF (fast forward)?
Not that you may use it forever but a motorcycle comm device should do you a fine job. A Communications Sponsor should do you proud. Possibly because you are just shy of 100K (for now) , you could use one of the better devices to stream you conversations you already have or you may feel apt to change out your current device and add it to Mariska's helmet while updating a newer Cardo or Sena to yours. I think they would love to be one of your sponsors. On the other hand I could be completely wrong, how do I know? Love your content. Oh, there are mesh apps one can temporarily add to phone and use a phone mesh comm that would put you out less than $10 or 8 EU. Not for nothing, but I would guess there are plenty of us, wow, now that I think about it, I could send you one of my old devices. Only thing is I'm sure there are guys out there that have really great devices and have nothing to do with the old that would fit right in to your situation.
Oh no, now I gotta clean up stuff again.
I was wondering what you were doing sitting behind cars. Splitting lanes is not only safer but, often times the only way to finish your travels.
Love the double door for some reason.
The more you two are together the more I hear Australian accents. ha ha
Based (i hope) Pedro!
Happy to see your trips.

Ride safe and have fun. 🇺🇸
Hello guys is anyone here knowledgeable on Transalps? Im considered buying a nice example of a 99 transalp. But it has almost 60 000 miles on it or 90 000 km. Anyone know how long a well maintained transalp can run?
200k km easy, with consumption of oil though which will have started before the 90k (there are those with 300k). Don't be surprised if you have to throw in a liter of oil every 1000km. My other Alp (1991) had a hole in the carburator diaphragm at about 100k, at around 105k the regulator rectifier failed and a leak in one of the radiators. At 150k replaced failing starter solenoid. At 160k replaced the carburator with a younger second hand one because the needle had worn out the hole it went into therefore letting through more fuel. These things may or may not happen. The engine will run forever though.
@@iPedroMota great information! its a fully kitted Transalp with all the extras include, givi bags, crashbars, heated steering, and its low rust and well maintained. its going to be for light offroading and long distance europe trips. would you say it better to buy a lower milage one and just pay the extra to kit that one out? or maybe any other motorcycle?
Usually when they are kitted out already it's cheaper than buying separate so I get the appeal. If you can negotiate a good price go for it. The engine will last (when I did a partial rebuild on the engine at 150k one cylinder was still within tolerance). You just really have to keep an eye out on the oil level, same goes for the old Africa Twins. At the end of the day you won't be breaking the bank for this allrounder motorcycle so if you grow out of it too soon you could get another one. Chances are though you'll love it.
@@iPedroMota owner wanted 2500 euros all inclusive, with only front tire needed to be replaced after next season.
Very nice man!!! your footage and paths are really cool
Pedro you should also make video about your explorations at places you stay
When possible I do, this video was too long already
@@iPedroMota it s never too long. Keep them coming brother. And btw...you two are great together....love you both.
What's with the tape on the desk?
Makeshift mouse mat
super afsnit👍👍👍👍
Hello from Poland
Minsk Mazowiecki-city
That all looks most inviting indeed!
Except for that effing big mosquito… 🥴
Still waiting for the results on that bloodwork
@@iPedroMota Does that mean you wait for the itchy pimple or the results of the blood test following the infection that beastie delivered you?
@@iPedroMota whay do you mean? Mosquitos are nit dangerous in the baltics :)
I'm joking, the mosquito sucked up so much blood that it could be used for bloodwork. Europe is all good, if it was South America or Asia I would have smacked it immediately.
@@iPedroMota Wildlife in Europe hosts some nasty organisms, too.
That's a region where you know you'll go to heaven one day, even if only in the bellies of mosquitoes.
Riga and Latvia in general are a nice place to visit, but one of the worst to live in.
