This video clip needs to be sent to the Academy Awards in the Short Film category - I wont be surprised if it actually wins. It is SO SO SO SO GOOD - even Darren Aronofsky would dream of making something like this. It has everything - perfect narration - grim gloomy climate - local folks at the store - giggly local teens - near perfect camera angles (for instance, there's a dog in most parts of the clip but is never the focus) - photography scores 100% (the part where it;s dark when narrator is leaving's Robert;s apartment) - a cemetery reminding us of the sordid past - A character like Victor (straight out of Chekov's works) and an enigmatic and reticent Robert who plays Vivaldi - and a perfect ending. Hands down the best one on this channel (yes better than Kolya episodes)!
Actually, often cemeteries will tell you a lot about the history of a place. For instance when you go to a cemetery in a Czech village and you find mostly German graves.
First Viktor cried, then he argues, he's sorry, then he hates you, then he is a friend again , finally you're a spy. What a guy haha You should definitely do "drinking with Russians" series.
Bald should have army rolled out the door and belly crawled down the stairs screaming out loud for the attack to begin. Victor would have bailed out the window I fear.
@Megabutor yes, they speak the same language. Yes, Viktor behaves as a typical Russian alkash. But all of that is just because the ages of stupid Russian imperialism, prohibition of native language and culture. The situation is so bad that if you speak Belarussian in Belarus, people consider you as a nazi (where's the logic?). As a Ukrainian, I'm proud, that we finally got rid of Russians influence and can protect our culture and language. And I'm waiting for the moment when our Belarussian brother will do the same.
Imagine living in the apartment above these guys, one minute you'd hear arguing about WW2 and the next two guys shredding the violin and guitar while singing Belarusian folk music
You should have asked some questions to Robert. He seems like a very interesting person. A Chechen war veteran who drinks and plays violin masterfully...
Imagine bringing a Russian guy to your best friend’s house who you have known all of your life and all of the sudden they start a conversation in Russian. I think you would be in shock to. 😂
It's not really the same though, is it? English language knowledge is much more ubiquitous. A guy knowing English isn't as much of a stretch as a guy knowing Russian, in a non-slavic country. I met people in the middle of nowhere in Thailand speaking English and I wasn't that surprised. Had they spoken Russian, I would have been floored.
This is the kind of "tourism" I want. I want to meet real people, in their natural element. Not someone hired to drag me around the nice parts of the city.

But there have been specific psychological studies that particularly link alcoholism with aggression. Which is why there's that stereotype of the "angry drunk". There may be directionality concerns as with any correlation though.
Alchohol made me loose so many beatifull girlfriends...now im 1 year no drink
When Mr. Bald says to Viktor's apology: "Say whatever you want. It's better to speak honestly always."
Hands down the best one on this channel (yes better than Kolya episodes)!
for real it just feels so natural and human
this is at every step in the depths of Russia and the post Soviet space
This video needs to be sent to Politburo for investigation for espionage activities.
💯, this is really more than just a RUclips video
I like how the questions about the war are broken up with music segments,
The little dogo following you guys everywhere, so cute 🥰
This video was like a train wreck....morbidly fascinating and you just can't look away.....
Yeah like the setting and everything, but it has a certain feel to it.
In one
"we're gonna check out this cemetery and then get some beer"
never heard a more eastern european statement in my life
Actually, often cemeteries will tell you a lot about the history of a place. For instance when you go to a cemetery in a Czech village and you find mostly German graves.

Вся суть белорусской милиции в одном видео.
I'm Russian and I come here every time to have a laugh 😂😂😂
I'm Chechen and I'm bad at Russian, you lucky man
First Viktor cried, then he argues, he's sorry, then he hates you, then he is a friend again , finally you're a spy. What a guy haha
You should definitely do "drinking with Russians" series.
Bald should have army rolled out the door and belly crawled down the stairs screaming out loud for the attack to begin. Victor would have bailed out the window I fear.
But this is belorussians...
😀😂
They're BELARUSSIANS. Different nation.
I hear that every day. I'm from Russia :D
That dog is the cutest thing ever.
omg i love how he was like offended he didn't know his friend spoke english lol
Poor Viktor can't make up his mind whether he wants to shout at you or sing to you 😂
You should have asked some questions to Robert. He seems like a very interesting person. A Chechen war veteran who drinks and plays violin masterfully...
and hospitable !
He reminds me of Sherlock Holmes. weird :D
He can't b'cuzz that will let Viktor fell out of place, and you know you don't wanna make someone fell out of place
Robert is so talented!!
I would like to know more about him
the balls on you sir for putting yourself in this situation, respect.
@@dmitrynutels9340 English is by far the hardest language to learn.
@@eggwitheyez yes
That would trip me out
@@eggwitheyez that is wrong in so many levels lmao English is one of easiest languages to learn especially for western people
This is the kind of "tourism" I want. I want to meet real people, in their natural element. Not someone hired to drag me around the nice parts of the city.
Keahna Anhaek If you’re a woman, adjust you’re expectations lol not possible for women to travel like this and meet strangers sadly.

What a CLASSIC episode from Bald! Makes you feel like you're there with him and put's you a little on edge at times. Hat's off to the "up for anything with the locals" attitude he has! :)
This turned into a David Lynch film REALLLLL quickly...
David lunch lol
i would say a pinch of gaspar noe too.

Lul. I felt like it was begining of some Tarantino or Ritchie movies. These characters Viktor, Chechen, Englishman and that little dog that followed them on the way with a such great plot.
I think i know why Viktor is not a policeman no more.
Lol
Probably a trail of suspects beaten senseless
Viktor is from my home town, he was known to go around bashing criminals over the head with their own bottles of alcohol.
He had a giant record of arrests and a lot of criminals were afraid of him
He was eventually brought up with some high rank and was fired and became a security guard.
@@MotoDaniels Ha ha I'm not the tiniest bit surprised. Bald is lucky to have walked away completely unharmed because this guy is classic psycho waiting to snap for the least reason. Charm wins!
Actually, that is the very reason he used to be a policeman.
Your content is incredible. Totally unique and you’ve got a great way with people. A lot of other people would find these situations intimidating or react and things would turn nasty. But you always keep it light hearted and jovial. Bravo my friend 👍🏼👍🏼
I had similar experiences in northern England meeting random people around town, hitting some pubs then going back to their homes and getting obliterated with their friends or family. Got blacked in Lithuania too with 2 old guys i met at some sketchy bar as I was the first American they met traveling around randomly exploring countries alone to meet people. I’ll never forget some of those places.

Much easier for a tourist, especially in eastern europe since people are usually warm and welcoming, also very curious as to what brought you there
@@wafer2114 this can be done all over the world. certain little parts cant be, but can still be done almost in every country.
Maybe try getting out of the house and socialise :)
i dont even talk with the other 5 persons living in my building 😕😟 trying to avoid them at all cost, just because they are not THE VERY specific type of people i want to have contacts with ..... its absurd 😕
I can tell Victor was kinda shocked that his friend Robert is such a bright and educated person by the standards and was so modest to never mention his education, it got him right in the feels i guess and you can also tell Robert is a gentleman, a kind soul and a good friend, that who knows how much stuff he has gone through his life. Hope they both do well and live happy lives.
* It felt so sad when i read Bald's comment down the section that Robert has been dealing with health issues... hope he's ok :(
@Улитка Ukraine
@@GriMReaperx501 Fucking hell
@Улитка (Sorry for replying in English, i am not that good writing in Ukrainian) To be honest i live abroad and i don't know what's going on there (Ukraine). And politics in Ukraine are kinda a joke. All i know about Zelenskiy is that he tried to fight corruption and to establish peace in Donbass (although ineffective) if am not mistaken, fair play to that. Anyway i hope this thing with the separatists ends once and for all. People are dying and it is really sad.
@A True Patriot yeah i would like the learn that too
