- Today, Nadiya will cook traditional Ukrainian dumplings for us on an old stove. The house, which is more than 120 years old, was inherited by Nadiya from her grandmother's brother. Now Nadiya looks after the house and leads a traditional way of life. Nadiya's favorite pastime is cooking traditional Ukrainian dishes.

My grandmother was from Ukraine. I remember her making borscht and perogies for us all the time. Such a hard worker and never complained about anything. Watching this video reminds me of her. Right down to your table cloth, pots and pans. Thank you for posting, it brought back fond memories.

I'm Brazilian, my paternal grandmother was Ukrainian, she died more than 10 years ago at 101 years old and I remember the borscht she made, the pierogi, the galleys and so many other things. Today we are the ones doing this... Congratulations on your channel.

From Canada. Moved to Southern Ukraine ( Russia then) in mid 1700s from Poland. Moved to Canada in 1874. Adopted many foods while living in Ukraine. Vareniki, Porogies, Beet Borsch and cabbage Borsch. Visited Respublica the viilage my ancesstors lived in Ukraine in 1990. Beautiful country. May God bless you.

One of my favourite foods and 100% homemade.I know that is ten times more tasteful and healtier than any restaurant food ever. I'm really getting tired of western food and this old style home cooking is really looking good.1 week of that stuff and hiking in the mountains would do me good. Why not buy some potatoes, carrots and a pan then instead of lazy eating in resturaunts in the the wedt that your so sick of. Oh and disconect your cold water pipe to your house n get a bucket

Mom and Dad immigrated to US in 1949 from Ukraine made borscht similar seems like once a week but had carrots and cabbage in hers. My brother and sister make a great borscht I've never tried until recently but ended up making a nice cabbage soup overcooked I believe. Ingredients for next try on counter so your video comes at an opportune time. Love to see the old ways of my people and keeping the traditions alive to a worldwide audience here especially in these times in the Ukraine. My lord this takes me back 30-40 years. The well-worn house, the sounds of the country in what looks like very late winter...just everything. That cellar looked EXACTLY like the one at my grandparent's. I saw what I think is beef on the bone, a couple big turnips, salt pork on the bone, either parsnips or a breed of potato I'm not familiar with, possibly a bit of alcohol, onion, garlic, some kind of bacon or rib meat with a lot of fat, unknown herbs and preserves of some kind, salt, possibly cream..all seeming to add up to a fairly complex turnip, beef and pork stew with a flavor I can't even conceive of. Also, a hand-crafted boot remover? Never even thought of such a thing.
What I have seen these ladies are very self-sufficient and extraordinary. I wish I would have had one like that as my wife. I pray every day for Ukraine and its people peace and safety. I wish I could help them by sponsoring any of them in the US, even if it is until peace return to Ukraine. May God bless these Ukrainian ladies and bring them prosperity. Remember, there's nothing greater that God's love for you and your neighbors. ❤

Ваше лицемерие и пещерная тупость, выдаваемые за хитрость, уже достали!!! Как восемь лет убивали своих соотечественников на Донбасе - всё вас устраивало, а как ответочка прилетела, так «рашисты» и «нечисть». Неэээт, дорогуша, за всё ответ надо держать. Посеешь ветер - пожнёшь бурю! Вот теперь и пожинаете. Восемь лет Россия верила в Минские соглашения и стремилась к их реализации, а на деле оказалось, что это была сознательная ложь запада и Украины (и Порошенко об этом сказал в открытую, и Меркель). Нынешняя Украина - это сброд прокажённых и прОклятых, а СВО - чистилище для грешников. Вот уничтожат особо активных и упоротых, и всё успокоится.
Ненужную мягкотелость проявил И.В.Сталин в вопросе украинских националистов (нужно было всем лоб зелёнкой мазать), тогда бы не родились нынешние моральные уроды (от гнилой осинки не родятся апельсинки).
