I've said it before and I will say it again: The pre-facelift Velar was designed by designers and engineered by engineers. This facelift one has been designed and engineered by the accounting department
Nobody wants: - glossy black surface in the interior - fake buttons and the removal of haptic buttons to control basic car functionalities like AC - exterior "sporty" elements without funcionality Why keep car manufactureres keep doing this?
The trick is buying the quad exhaust 2020 SVAutobiography Velar. Maxed out trim and specs, with the biggest LR engine in the light weight chassis while keeping all the bedazzled dials. The only complaint I've had is that it's accessory power goes to control the open-state of the exhaust pipes instead of SUPPLYING TRAILER POWER. lol LR said they never expected anyone to tow with the SVA.
@@Reeves160394 I would love to find one. The wire harness was the only reason I went the dealer route instead of a stealth hitch setup. At this point I'm looking into finding wireless turn signals and foregoing trailer brakes.
I love the car, but I hated too many things about it, no ceramic brakes, too much weight and stanrdard sunroof. I end up on buying a stelvio quadrifoglio with ceramic brakes, solid aluminum roof and sparco seats. 4200 lbs is light for a 505hp compact suv.
I complete agree with you regarding that screen. I have 2024 Defender, 2023 Velar, 2024 eVoque. The evoque has the same screen like velars have now unlike the 2023 Velar. And I truly hate it. It takes me a while to figure out how to simply turn on climate and I still did not figure out how to control the direction of airflow. The easiest among all of them is the defender since it has a lot of physical controls. 2023 velar also has a second screen with car control.
It should be illegal to have everything on the the screen for a car. Nothing screens safe with this approach automakers are going for. I hope we get after market manual controls of some sort to make these car practical.
Removing buttons saves space, development costs, homologation costs, engineering costs and supplier development. It is also driven by customer feedback from clinics.
I know the range rover is meant to be more of a luxurious version of land rover but I think range rover is chasing too much of a sporty design rather than the big suv and the velar is not looking good with this swooping design and bringing it too close to the ground. Wish it had bit more static and industrial design rather than sporty swooping and curvy styles range rover is doing with all their suvs
I know it won’t happen but I wld base on the 2nd gen Velar on the full size RR. Move this model way up market to compete w the Urus/Purosangue. Love the design but these were too a small/cheap. RR shouldn’t not be as accessible as they are. Evoque/RR Sport should be in their own model lines.
It doesn't look monobloc & striking as the original Velar that's too bad at this price and weight with a 2.0l turbo four you'd have to be a repeat buyer or really be a fan of the brand to consider something as unreliable.

He's beautiful
Love the Velar. It looks so classy and modern at the same time. I will get the old model with the buttons inside when I can afford it.
No one can ever “afford” a Land Rover. They take all of your money and time!

Because the people who can actually afford it are still buying them 🤷🏿♂️
You’re right
My velar is coming next week..but you’re absolutely right about everything. I also felt the same mate

I think you can buy a special harness for SVA model for the tow bar to function properly. Remember seeing this available when I fitted my tow bar

All you need is the harness extension and someone with a black box or similar device to turn the function on

Ceramic brakes ?
What on earth for ? No one is setting laptimes with this tank

I think the interior now is more neat and minimalist, less clutter is better and more elegant

What clinics?
Cost cutting the interior has ruined the interior
I’m sticking with my 2018 HSE Black pack!
I have same pack. Dark Vader a beast!!!
They have used the jag interior parts from 2021

Door handle looks like Volvo v90 2019
it's a range rover nuff said
Is the 2025 Range Rover Velar in the room with us .
In a few years the steering wheel will be integrated into the screen as well. Enough already.

Range rovers biggest problem is the engines , they should work on them .. first lol
Designing with Babish
Batao easko range rover velar jaise car ke sath bhi problem hai😅
Who would buy one of these instead of a Porsche, Audi, BMW?
Nice🇸🇦
My problem with Range Rover? All complete JUNK!
Range Rover es un problema desde el dia que lo compras, lleno de problemas, reparaciones costosas. Deberia desaparecer la empresa.
The Range Rover Velar is by far the Land Rover I care about the least.
It’s a MODERN Range Rover so ofcourse it would have problems
4 Cylinder, no low range. A real Range Rovere this is not, except in being unreliable as its big brother.
