Bombers need functional gunners, it's completely unclear how or why the AI is triggered to respond to some enemy aircraft but not others. They should consistently use a voice alert when an enemy aircraft approaches 1km and automatically point their guns at it, then engage at 400m to 800m depending upon crew skill.
I almost second this. Also a Naval-Battles mechanic whereby the player can assign guns to specific targets, x1 to x3 I guess, could be used. As you said, sometimes the AI gunners do not respond to an approaching threat. However, this mechanic can make the AI gunners to do so.
All the bombers need to be reworked. The gunners are completely useless, there's no survivability when it comes to taking fire, sealing fuel tanks and extinguishers do not work. I've had players fly within 3 feet of my plane and the gunners never reacted.
They should activate between 300-600m. But it depends on your crew skill especially the number of expirienced gunners, seeing as that mandates hoe many of your gunners actually use crew stats. Secondly people learn where the gunners are on your plane and might be able to get close just by being outside their range, or by shooting them before getting close
Lancaster. It's a guaranteed game-ender. (when you blast half your team who facerush a cap that you TOLD you're dropping the funny bomb onto and you get instakicked for teamkilling)
Stukas are also very nice. Especially for beginners, you have a really good Bomb that is easy to aim, perfect for precise strikes against enemy defenses!
@@snickersmyknickers5120 yes, but it has breaks and a bomb that has good flight performance. You can easily learn high altitude dropping with it. It was my first bomber i used in ground rb and as i switched to the P47 i was able to precisely bomb at 1km altitude
I love good strategic bombers! Even if they are sometimes harder to play, I would love to see some high/top tier bombers like the B52, Tu95, Vulcan, and even possibly the B1 lancer and the Soviet equivalent
Personally, I don't play much mix battles, but there was once in Air RB, while flying my Tu-2, half of my right wind was shot off and one of my engnines was on fire, but I magically returned to base and got repaired. It's a very reliable bomber
I think Do 217 bomber variants definitely deserve a mention here with their 4x 1000 kg bomb load and E variants also have offensive 20 mm cannon. You need to make sure to drop at least one (optimally 2) of those bombs on the way in, otherwise it turns like a brick. It is an excellent bomber to destroy a lot of tanks in a short period, but it's overshadowed by the universality of Fw 190 F-8 and especially by the disgustingly OP Ju 288 C (seems like some premium vehicles are just meant to be OP...).
There was this plane... the SU-6... a brilliant light bomber/attacker, that could compete with many fighters... It had 2x 7.62mm, 2x 37mm and 6x 100 kg bombs. And then you had the brilliant idea to nerf it down from the skies...
P1Y1, (its a huge slap in the face that its no longer rank 4) and B-26; (various trees), both good for naval and tank mixed battles. Also the Russian A-20 is classified as a bomber and can carry up to 2 x 1000kg bombs or even 2 torpedo, and any of the single engine Japanese bombers can be a bane to anything.
This is a silly choice but I recommend whoever has the Camberra B.2 and try to troll with the 4,000 pound bomb. It has a bomb sight and decent flight models.
They already said that their role would be very different than in real life and would'nt be able to be competitive. I personally think that they world need a 3-hour long gamemode to be able to shine. They are simply not planed.

Gaijin are you planing to rework bomb smoke clouds again they look nice sure but i feel like 1000kg and bigger bombs should get mushroom clouds since most big explosion turns into a mushroom cloud when explode
I miss when the Tu-2 can carry 4 500kg bombs, 2 in the bomb bay and 2 on the outer pylon, that's a guaranteed 4 kills. Now you can only bring one 500kg in the bomb bay :(. The 1000kg is nice but most of the time it's too strong for its own good, because they way you play the Tu-2 is you go low, you need to put the bomb delay on 1 sec or more to not get damaged by the 1000kg bombs
Try the 9 100kg they are really good but aim close or drop 2 per target and 2 1000kg or 500kg and that's 5+ per match , I once got 9 by the same preset
That's actually a pretty good idea. With that preset you can effectively kill light targets with the 100s and kill heavy target or multiple with the 1000s. Thanks for the tips!
a-20g is deceptively good at its br (yes ik it's technically a strike aircraft). It can take a lot of damage, has estinguishers, and also can shoot enemy planes down. Ju-188 is also very fun.

I mean, naval and ground battles are all mixed battles. I mean, if they remove aircraft from mixed battles, they have to rework the BR system. Every AA would be much lower, super heavys, open tops etc. Would be much higher in the BR and it would destroy the gameplay. The best way to destroy dominating enemys are aircrafts. It‘s also often the case that a team takes all points and destroys the entire team but with good cas-support they can turn the game instantly, otherwise most games would be decided after 3-5 minutes. War Thunder was always a game that mixed the battlefield, if you don‘t like it, play WoT

@@bren2385 Naval battles are pretty much the same a bit more extreme in my opinion actually. But it won‘t solve the problem that groundbattles without aircraft need completely new BRs. A Maus can‘t be on 7.7 anymore, it would be way to op but on 8.0 it will be useless. The M18 would be probably 6.0, every AA that is not special or good against tanks is like 1.0-3.0 (that includes even modern AA that has only rockets). I mean WT is not the most balanced game, but that would destroy the balancing completely. Maybe spawnpoints should be increased for Aircraft or you spend some of your spawn points per minute while being in an aircraft, so you have to be useful for the team. That would lead to more aggressive CAS with high risk, could be cool too

The BTD is better off taking the sea mines than the 1000 lbs. Don't be fooled by the name, they work as bombs and have more effective explosive filler, almost as much as a 2000 pounder.
Hello Gaijin, how are you? I have a question for you, is it possible in a vehicle to take cover from bomb blasts in any forms of lower grounds, if the bomb explode on a hill or any sorts of higher terrain?
Strategic bombers definitively do not fit as playable vehicles imo, but if they reworked AI and improved Enduring Confrotation modes, they'd definitively have it's place.
Video definitely should've mentioned antishipping roles since that's also combined arms ntm the list would be slightly different then again it makes sense to not not mention those when the narrator/ script writers can't pick up a mistake lke with the SAAB B18 apparently being a Junkers 86 (totally not the SAAB B3C).
They won't cause it will hurt their precious money they make off of premium cas vehicles. With how quickly planes get into the air in ground battles, I rarely even call it ground battles anymore. I just refer to it as air battles with the ability to spawn in ground vehicles whenever I talk to my friends about it. Cause that is all it is at this point.
@@grimalkin6676 I would have to disagree when you say that the best cas vehicles are premium... the most lethal and effective cas are in the regular tech trees, such as the arado for Germany, the French corsair etc... Also, planes quickly get into the air so long as certain conditions are met... if there are many planes out there, you can always get some AAs which have the cheapest spawn points, and do some sky clean up (AA's are extremely effective against planes)

Most of the Time the First Fighters show up after 2 min. Once i was playing the 2C Bis (or a Maus, T 95), and when i got to the battle, i didnt even spotted a Target yet, i got bombed by a Kamikaze Lvl 6 Stuka.
A few days ago, got into a match from the start. And around roughly 2 minutes and 30 seconds, give or take, there were already 4 planes in the air. I love playing ground battles. Oh wait did I say ground battles? I mean air battles with the ability to spawn in ground vehicles.
This is a mesage to new players from a French main, dont play France *GROUND* for these reasons (I will mention a few thing not related to French ground vehicles). . . - It isnt beginner friendly at all with rank 1 being a nightmare and requires alot of skill since you wont have access to APHE rounds only solid shots after rank III (unless you play the Char 25T) - No stabalized vehicles until you reach rank 6, 7, and 8. - Gaijin ignores this nation alot and will only look at it to nerf it or to show pretend love for the nation like they did when they added the long overdue French navy and the Mirage 2000C S-4 (lets be honest, they could have chosen a different vehicle to add if they wanted too) - Most of Frances good or desperetly needed vehicles like the EBR's, AMX-50/TOA90, AMX-30 Super and VBCI-2 are premium or event vehicles - This nation has been out longer then any of the other new minor nations like Sweden, Finland, and Isreal and yet those other minor nations get way more attention then France In the case for top tier its great but, Leclerc and Leclerc S2 are the only 11.7 tanks still not at rank 8 leaving them not eligable to obtain stock APFSDS which you REALY need, their current best APFSDS is the OFL 120 F1 which it didnt actualy use but is the best they will give you since they wont add the OFL 120 F2. All the Leclercs use the protoype armor, so its armor isnt up to date but thats not Gaiins fault since France wont put out even the limiter values to their Leclercs armour thickness. Now this is me rambling but also throwing out a bit of facts, but all in all, if gaijin wants to do something, they are better off removing France as a playable nation for new players if they hate the nation that badley or making it unlockable after they reach a certain level or played enough of ground RB to move on to France. If players want to start a new nation go with Sweden, avoid America and USSR since they get spoiled alot and USSR is russian bias and has some players equivalent to a few German mains, as for Germany, a few may be a bit 'zoned out' during the match or relying on their armour to much (they should just play USSR if they want armour). Britian, Japan, and Italy are almost in the same boat with France but also have their own set of problems. China is almost the same as USSR but are far better players but their are very few of them and you will only find them in the Air Realistic.

The Tu-95 is basically useless, since it can only be used to carry 50 Megatons nuclear bombs, maybe the Myasischev M4 would be better (B52 but in WW2)

20mm can disable tanks but are not relible enough, and flight performance makes up for it heavily against planes

Most of the Time the First Fighters show up after 2 min. Once i was playing the 2C Bis (or a Maus, T 95), and when i got to the battle, i didnt even spotted a Target yet, i got bombed by a Kamikaze Lvl 6 Stuka.
A few days ago, got into a match from the start. And around roughly 2 minutes and 30 seconds, give or take, there were already 4 planes in the air. I love playing ground battles. Oh wait did I say ground battles? I mean air battles with the ability to spawn in ground vehicles.

This is a mesage to new players from a French main, dont play France *GROUND* for these reasons (I will mention a few thing not related to French ground vehicles). . .
- It isnt beginner friendly at all with rank 1 being a nightmare and requires alot of skill since you wont have access to APHE rounds only solid shots after rank III (unless you play the Char 25T)
- No stabalized vehicles until you reach rank 6, 7, and 8.
- Gaijin ignores this nation alot and will only look at it to nerf it or to show pretend love for the nation like they did when they added the long overdue French navy and the Mirage 2000C S-4 (lets be honest, they could have chosen a different vehicle to add if they wanted too)
- Most of Frances good or desperetly needed vehicles like the EBR's, AMX-50/TOA90, AMX-30 Super and VBCI-2 are premium or event vehicles
- This nation has been out longer then any of the other new minor nations like Sweden, Finland, and Isreal and yet those other minor nations get way more attention then France
In the case for top tier its great but, Leclerc and Leclerc S2 are the only 11.7 tanks still not at rank 8 leaving them not eligable to obtain stock APFSDS which you REALY need, their current best APFSDS is the OFL 120 F1 which it didnt actualy use but is the best they will give you since they wont add the OFL 120 F2. All the Leclercs use the protoype armor, so its armor isnt up to date but thats not Gaiins fault since France wont put out even the limiter values to their Leclercs armour thickness.
Now this is me rambling but also throwing out a bit of facts, but all in all, if gaijin wants to do something, they are better off removing France as a playable nation for new players if they hate the nation that badley or making it unlockable after they reach a certain level or played enough of ground RB to move on to France. If players want to start a new nation go with Sweden, avoid America and USSR since they get spoiled alot and USSR is russian bias and has some players equivalent to a few German mains, as for Germany, a few may be a bit 'zoned out' during the match or relying on their armour to much (they should just play USSR if they want armour). Britian, Japan, and Italy are almost in the same boat with France but also have their own set of problems. China is almost the same as USSR but are far better players but their are very few of them and you will only find them in the Air Realistic.

Why did you nerf the Ju 88 it had 28x 50kg bombs + 2 500kg .. now you cant have the same loadout
Ju-88A's switched to custom loadout system previously used by jets, you just need to recreate the old loadout using that.
for ARB, bombers are sitting ducks to fighters (A2D-1 for example); poor co-op of players who are also llooking for action.
What happened to mentioning any British bombers in this video.
