Hi Gareth...had good fishing by transporter down by Buick yard ..6 plaice..smllet 29 cm ...biggest 37cm perfect after these storms n great n small tides
Well done Mark, sounds like you had some great fishing there, can't fault it. It's a great venue on it's day and many different species can turn up! Perfect for small tides as you say. Cheers 👍👍
Haha it certainly is, thanks Richard. It has served me well over the years and still going strong. Will hopefully get another few years use out of it! Cheers for watching 👍👍
H ha I was waiting for the bath and toilet to come out then🤣 we carry some baggage/ luggage on our backs buddy🤣🤣lovely vid bud, stay safe out there, see you on the rocks 😘
Haha thanks Matt. I lost the bath and kitchen sink during my last fishing trip and so I couldn't show them in this video unfortunately! Yes I've noticed that you carry a lot...can't be easy carrying all that food for Josh 😂. Hopefully you can wet a line or two this weekend, providing the weather behaves. Take care bud, give my regards to the Caster's crew 👍👍
Great vid Bud. A great tip for keeping scissors sharp that has stood me in good stead; get a narrow necked beer bottle or similar and try to cut the neck off with the scissors. It gives even new scissors an improved, almost surgical edge.
Thanks Rick, I will certainly give that a go. I get through a lot of scissors as they blunt quickly but I'll certainly try the beer bottle trick, nice one! 👍👍
Nice insight Gareth. Weather has been atrocious, hopefully will break this weekend and we can get out. Like you my tackle box is well equipped, or over thought on my behalf .. . I always carry 3 fully charged head torches in winter, biggest safety point in my books.. keep them coming. P.s. nice fireplace 🙂👍
Thanks Matt. I get lots of questions asking what I use and so hopefully people will find the video useful. I'm no expert, far from it but I guess it's good to compare notes etc. Great idea carrying 3 head torches, I don't blame you, especially during these darker months. Yeah definitely, we need to get back fishing now, let's hope the weather will improve come the weekend and we can all wet a line once again. Thank you, there's a wood burner in there now...my house is old and doesn't retain the heat very well and I put one in 3 years ago, does a great job of heating the ground floor. Cheers as always and tight lines for your next session 👍🐟👍
Cracking video Gareth. Very informative information. Always nice to see what other anglers have in their box. Look forward to see you fishing again when the weather is ok. 😃🐬🐬
Cheers Nathan, glad you enjoyed. I also like to see what other anglers carry, good for picking up new ideas etc. Let's hope the weather improves soon, I need some sea air now, getting withdrawal symptoms ha! Hopefully you will get to wet a line this weekend. Thanks for watching bud 👍🐟👍
Thank you Mark, glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah I think fish welfare is really important, moreso these days given that there's a few less fish in the sea. I picked up a load of rubbish down the White Light in Barry a couple of weeks back, it was filthy and all from anglers...very annoying! Hope you're well mate, cheers for watching 👍👍
Thanks Ismail. I thought it was about time I made the video as a lot of beginners were asking for it. Hope you're keeping ok, I'm hoping to get some fishing in this weekend, although the weather is looking nasty for tomorrow! Cheers 👍👍
Cheers Chris. Great that rig wallet isn't it, I think it will last forever, seems to be bullet proof haha! Lots of the gear I started with is still in great condition which is why I continue to use it. Thanks for watching 👍👍
You're welcome mate, glad you enjoyed the video. Yes let's hope so, we could all do with some sea air now, preferably this weekend! Cheers for watching 👍👍🎣
Hi Gareth love watching the video's, would you possibly think about doing a rig building video ?? Of your top 3 or so go to rigs for the newcomers out there and some of us old timers
Hi Homer, glad you're enjoying the videos. Yeah a few people have asked me to do this and I will eventually get around to doing it. Also, on my recent videos, I have been showing the rigs I have been using...managed to find some rig drawing software. But yeah, the rig clinic video is on my to-do list! Cheers for watching, much appreciated 👍🐟👍

Yeah those boxes are great, this one has fallen down rocks, fallen up rocks, performed cartwheels and it's still going strong...I think only a bomb could destroy it ha! The multipliers will be due for a service shortly and so that will be my excuse to do it. Oh yeah, there should definitely be a few fish around after these storms, I'm hoping to have a few casts on the weekend, the sea is calling me now, it's been too long! As always, many thanks for watching and I hope you get a few fish during your next session 👍👍🎣

@@lolacotton3207 The Tronixpro Banzai Beach rod might be a good option for you. Not too expensive and a good all rounder.
