This was my very first roller coaster ever....
AND I LOVED IT SO MUCH. No fear, just hype :D
I love this ride!! It is so smooth and the air time is awesome!! In my opinion, it is way better than the great white and did not make me feel nauseous like the inversions on great white did.
I been on many coasters taller and faster than this but I still felt more air time on Steel Eel than any other coaster. Especially sitting in the back seat. Definitely an underrated coaster. This ride here should be in the top 10 roller coasters on earth.
San Antonio is very unfortunate when it comes to theme parks or thrill rides, because both Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Seaworld San Antonio have a 200 foot height requirement for any of their rides. Morgan's original design called for 210 foot drop, but the park had to redesign it to meet the local requirement set up by the military due to the local air base that sit within miles of each park. Total bummer. I know this for a fact, but what puzzles me is why not get closer to the height ceiling, maybe 190, or at least 180 feet????????
Come to Australia before you start judging San Antonio. OUR RIDES SUCK.

There are restrictions like that in some parks here in the UK, such as alton towers. However, they dig into the ground, in order to create a higher lift hill and bigger drops, without exceeding the limit above ground level.
The lady cracking up on the ride made it even more fun!

The first time I rode this I was 6 and now I'm 13 it's still one of my favorite rides! Along side the journey to Atlantis amd great white!

I've ridden this! And I must say I LOVE this ride! The last time I've been to Sea World was the first time I've ridden this. I loved it so much, I rode it four times in a row! Also, I must ask. Do you think this could be like Morgan's verion of those Intamin "Mega Lite" coasters?

This coaster is at least 15 years older than Intimidator if you want some force go and ride Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion in Richmond, VA 6+ G's in the first corner.

They have 2 coasters here and Journey To Atlantis and thats it.

Oh well now that manta is open at Sea World San Diego they all have roller coaster. Orlando has the most. Well San Diego has Journey To Atlantis which is considered a water coaster.
Try the Iron Rattler at Six Flags
The top height of this is the size of full throttle's loop!

I went on this when I was 7 and my dad sat next to me so the lap bar was way too loose. I nearly flew out of the car on the first drop and I didn't ride another roller coaster until I was 15. I was 2" too short to go on the ride but for some reason they let me on anyways. It was a good memory though
Its smoother if your in the front. Dont sit in the back.

Actually Intimidator is fairly forceless for a hypercoaster. I can count a ton of coasters that not only compare to but beat Intimidator.

Hyper or Mega coasters are specifically between 200 and 299 feet. Steel Eel isn't classified as a Hyper or Mega.

This ride is horrible too bumpy and every hill feels like your jumping from your seat both times I rode this I felt I needed to hold on tighter.

I've riden it before it was horrible I was slipping everywhere and if I didn't hold on I would've flown out it's worse than it seems
Yes, on the video it does but when I went I rode it 6 times because when you are at the front you have to wait for all the carts to get over the hump but at the back you don't and it goes really fast. It is really steep so you always feel like you are gonna fall out. Great ride.
