It's like "Hey let's do one of those water thingy's like we have in Orlando." Wait, we don't have enough budget to build scenery". "Oh well, we'll just add turntables and call it cool, the guests will love it."
So, to get this right, you get a slow trip forwards. Then you get turned around and a sorta fast trip backwards. Then you get turned around again and get a trip into standard water splash.......wow.......yarn.
Death, that was my eight year old son's comment about 450 degrees and 90. We just got back from San Antonio and he LOVED that ride. Thanks for posting so he can relive it!
I rode this a couple of times. It's actually a lot more fun than it seems, but it needs to be longer with more stuff going on. The last drop, of course, is the best part.
Orlando has the best themeing, San Diego has the best coaster section. I wish more could've been done with the San Antonio one though, it seems really short and not as themed as the other two.
Cherry Sans I know but I read some other comments and they were saying Dallas' Seaworld was trash compared to Orlando's. I was just wondering if you had the same thoughts or not. Opinions can be good, bad or neutral.
Dancingqueen2700 it's not bad they just lack some things the other parks don't. I like that they have more coasters then SeaWorld San Diego but part of that is the coastal commission and the sixty having a hight restriction of 30 ft. When they built Mantis roller coaster they had to go below ground to utilize more of the track so that when it did the hills it wasn't above 30 ft
I think Orlando is the best out of the three. It is themed from the time you step in the line, to the time you get off the ride. There is a story as well. The one in San Diego has somewhat of a story, but is more of a coaster. This look like a bunch of people threw some coaster parts together and called it a ride...
this ride always feels unfinished to me when I ride it. their has to have been a reason for the 360s but as is its so unnecessary, six flags down the road has the same ride without the spins.
@@kassisomers1530 He means there should a reason in the context of the theme for the spins to be there. There’s no reason they couldn’t have just put a small MCBR there and a normal turn. The spins are unnecessary.
I went to Sea World with my friends and like just 5 of us (including me) out of 16 of us went on here, and it was my first time. To be honest, when it was slowly going up, I was regretting it. But it was pretty fun, and the drop was horrifying yet pretty cool. When you land in the water below, you just know that you did it and you feel pretty proud of yourself! I remember when I let out a scream and I couldn't breathe for 2 seconds during the drop down. xD
I just watched the 3 different versions, it’s crazy how different they are from each other. Basically just 3 almost completely different rides with the same name.
I had 3 opportunities to go on this ride way back when. All 3 I had to exit the line all for different reasons and never got a chance to get back in line.
Sea world: Let's make journey to Atlantis oh wait scenery is to expensive we ran out of budget hmm let's make it go up a lift hill then make a turn table 470 degrees then make it go backwards then make it go though another 470 degree turntable then make it go to a drop and make it go though a small tunnel there I bet people will love this VERSION the best People:what
This ride is just a copy of the "Atlantica Supersplash" in the Europapark in Germany. It is even from the same Company, called Mack Rides. Funfact: The Europapark is run by Mack Rides.
Guys, espicially all those who say this is a lame ride, please don't complain. Think about some kids who can't even get to experience a amousement park at all. And some countries, like where I live in (which is Singapore), we only have 2 amusements + 1 water theme parks. Adventure Cove, Universal Studios Singapore and Wild Wild Wet. So really, this ride is really awesome.
The one in Orlando is so much better. It's inside a giant pyramid that has a roller coaster portion (in the dark with hidden drops and near vertical banks).
Oh my gosh i remember the firdt time i got on this ride. I was like 5 and cried the whole time. i havent been on the ride now that im older but im pretty sure i'll enjoy it way more since i like roller coasters 😂😂😂
Interesting how the FIRST version of this ride was AWESOME (Orlando). The second version of this ride was a CHEAP KNOCKOFF of the first.(San Diego) The third version (San Antonio) Didn't even bother theming. Cheap money grubbing Corporations doing the least amount possible to keep people coming.
well I guess they were trying for a view of the whole park but I guess they could of spinned it the other way so clockwise and have it be backwards and drop. That way it wouldnt of Rotated so much. Then for the second rotation spin it counter clockwise and just not do a full rotation spin cause you pretty much see the same thing on both sides.
I went on that ride this year plus my sister yelled "oh jiminy" and dad and I were laughing at her Although she didn't like it 😂 Still I feel bad for my little sister But thar was the best water roller coaster ride ever
The ride is basically a boat-ster: looooong lift, vinyl turntable, bunny hop, vinyl turntable again, and basically the highlight which is the 100 ft drop. As much as Splash Mountain is SUPERIOR to this when it comes to scenery and storylines, the drop is twice as high. And the scenery from the top is rather breathtaking. They could've done a lot better with the concept.

Way better

What the hell kind of ride is this? Turntables, backwards, then down??
i rode it and its fun as hell.
then thats cool! I just liked this ride because its kinda scary.
Jake Adams You've got my respect for not getting mad
the one in california is better it has like somekind of elavator and the ALOT of water
Floridas sea world one takes you on a roof and drops you and then people can squirt you with water and such
So, to get this right, you get a slow trip forwards. Then you get turned around and a sorta fast trip backwards. Then you get turned around again and get a trip into standard water splash.......wow.......yarn.
It's for people who like the view and water

I went on it too it so fun but the backwards part is pretty challenging to like😅😅
Whoever approved this had to be tripping absolute balls.
spaceye tne ride has been improved majorly ther has been a building added and a lot of things
skids ftw no there hasn’t
@@skidsftw8074 You must be thinking of one of the other Journey to Atlantis rides. There are three.
Well Orlandos version has the best of the dark ride and drop but San Diegos version has the best coaster section.
maybe
Orlando has the best themeing, San Diego has the best coaster section. I wish more could've been done with the San Antonio one though, it seems really short and not as themed as the other two.
hOLY CRAP THIS LOOKS NOTHING LIKE ORLANDO'S
Is that good or bad?
+Dancingqueen2700 it seems to be just an opinion.
Cherry Sans I know but I read some other comments and they were saying Dallas' Seaworld was trash compared to Orlando's. I was just wondering if you had the same thoughts or not. Opinions can be good, bad or neutral.
+Dancingqueen2700. Nah, I don't think it's trash. I was just saying it was completely different.
Dancingqueen2700 it's not bad they just lack some things the other parks don't. Park: We want a ride like Orlando’s Journey to Atlantis...minus the theming, story and coaster drop elements.
Engineers: We got you fam.
I think Orlando is the best out of the three. It is themed from the time you step in the line, to the time you get off the ride. There is a story as well. at first I thought this was exactly the same ride as "Atlantica SuperSplash" at Europa-Park in Germany
haha i did too
hyh
except all the stuffs the ride is the same actually
Matthias Köhler same
why the hell does it turn 450 degrees when it could just as easily turn just the 90 degrees needed?!
For people to get a view of San Antonio.
thank you!!
asalimy yeah some people are just to stupid to know that
fear
protoborg cause what better way to get a view of the park then turn around and look at everything
i remember i rode this when i was 5. Its at seaworld. I am going to san antonio today, and hopefully get to come back
This is my first roller coaster
That is a really dumb ride. The turntables only add to the boredom. It's a chute the chute with a sleeping pill.
Andrew & Ricky *you’re
I have taken many rides on this, and I loved it every time!
The one in Florida actually has a story, which makes it more fun
My heart always dropped when you go backwards
what type of camera did you use? It awsome.
Sony TX10 it's waterproof.

compared to the other seaworld's this one is probably the worst
this ride always feels unfinished to me when I ride it. their has to have been a reason for the 360s but as is its so unnecessary, six flags down the road has the same ride without the spins.
The 360’s is so that it takes up time that way the two boats don’t hit each other
@@kassisomers1530 He means there should a reason in the context of the theme for the spins to be there. There’s no reason they couldn’t have just put a small MCBR there and a normal turn. The spins are unnecessary.
@@triple7marc Yeah, just seems like more wear and tear since there already is a block section right before each turntable it looks like
Gosh I miss this ride, would love to go on it again...

I like the coaster part at San Diego but I like the dark ride part at Orlando.
when i rode this ride like 4 yrs ago, i literally shattered my pants like.
That looks really fun!
In my opinon I think the one n sandiego is way better and scarier
Yep why is the san Antonio safe world trippin

It is just a diffrent version of it
I loved this ride and Seaworld!
I did that when I was eight years old, soooooo fun
yeah! i love goin there!!
