    2023 - Had difficult time finding proper size replacement chain. I am in Canada. The one that finally fit properly was the Oregon brand VersaCut 91VXL055.

      That is awesome you found one where you live. I hope they keep them in stock at lowes. I should of grabbed a few of them. I’m still using this one since I posted video 😂 I keep it sharp too right after I’m done so it’s ready. You have an awesome day, Tony

    I have had one of the saws for years. I was sawing an old oak log that had laid in yard for about five years. My son brought me a gas powered chainsaw and I did some sawing with it. I had worn the chain out on my Poulan electric and it sure had done a lot of cutting. I went to Lowe's and picked up a new bar and chain that said would fit my saw.. Neither bar nor chain fit my saw. I went back and exchange them for just a new chain. New chain worked great with my old bar and I had that log cut up in no time. For work around the house with a 100 ft. extension chord I would take this saw over a gas saw any day.

      I am the same way, my electric chainsaw starts up every time and cuts everything I need so far and I have brought down some good size trees as well. You take care, Tony

    I have the same saw. A snap ring keeps the chain from slipping off of the sprocket. Mine broke in half. Luckily, I have a drawer full of them at work.

    Thank you for the help. One thing that I did notice that on the chainsaw housing, above and below the driveshaft, there are two different diagrams that show which direction the chain should be installed, it’s difficult to see if you don’t look real close.

    It is a non-standard chain so be wary, just walking into the big box stores you might not find it, you need to be careful what you buy. I have a newer version and it cuts like a warm knife through butter. It is a low profile chain. The trick is to file it properly at 30 degrees and it will be just fine. Because it is a specialty chain, buy at Poulin or else Amazon carries this for 30 US, 40 Canadian. Don't force it through the wood, just let it go gently and tilt it at different angles and it last a long time.

    Bro I did the same thing but the replacement had an extra link in it , it wouldn’t tighten up enough , drove me crazy !!!

      That is a pain!!! And it usually be at a time when you really need it. Lol

      I had the exact problem with the first one I got. It was surprising how that one extra link made such a major difference. Finally got the right one as noted in my 2023 comment.

    I have this exact saw and can't seem to get the chain tightened after reassembling, what am I missing? I have the tensioner wound all the way tight

      I'm having the same problem. Did you need to get a different chain, or did you remove a link?

    • @immortaltimp3821
      @immortaltimp3821 10 месяцев назад

      @dalelogan4822 The chain came in 3 of the same size, but each one had a different number of links. They did it at an ace hardware store for me. Hope this helps!

    It's not a "blade". It's' called a "bar".
