I was not able to find terry in the movie!! ILL look again...anyway this was a great movie! Slightly top bloody for mixed company to watch, and they could have received the same impact and got their points across if they had reduced the excessive profanity and totally avoided the nudity....+ I would have been thrilled to death if the director had eliminated the abundance of unneeded violence! Im aware that this movie was rated " R" but you could've made much more money from this movie if you would have left out more annoying unnecessary scenes by reducing an excess of redundant all the wall stuff such as Lonzo pulling over the young white boy & his girl from the other side of the tracks with intentions of buying weed! I saw a clip where Terry Crews talks about getting to do that. I saw it on YT. IIRC he is friends with someone working on the film. He's a fan of Denzel, and wants to see him in action, so he gets to visit the set. The director spotted him and asked if he'd like to be an extra. Terry jumps at the chance. Terry said he is also seen earlier in the film doing something on a rooftop.
The fact that this man only has two oscars baffles me. He is the epitome of an amazing actor. ALL his roles. Never seen him in a bad movie ever! He needs his flowers.

You can feel the desperation, the fear and hopelessness. You can seen it in his eyes, hear it in his voice, see it in his movements... Denzel is one of the best, if not the best actor in the world...
Hate when people say Denzel is Denzel in every movie, because he's not, he hits different emotions eloquently. Just because he's great at everything, doesn't mean he's doing the same thing every time, he just adapts that well, it's effortless. This is defeat, anger, desperation, panic. It's a different person, personality, emotions than shown in John Q, Glory, Malcolm X, Man on Fire, and even Equalizer. He's truly a master, and the greatest of his generation.
This is why he is one of the last few A listers left. Hats off to Terry Crews he is amazing. Denzel really did good in his supporting role of Crews here.

He left Denzel to the dudes that Denzel thought he could put fear into and play good cop and bad cop with.... In reality that whole hood could of killed Denzel thought I think the hood knew Russians were after him so they left him to die to the Russians.

Denzel is great and there are a couple of scenes in this film where he gives a very special performance. In the rest of the film he gives the “right” performance but it's not extraordinary even if it's as appropriate and well balanced as it should be. He got the Oscar more because people thought it was his time. He has given more impressive performances and not won but in this year there were a few performances that were exceptional performances that sustained that level throughout.
