I agree. We can get better. Since 2017 I have had 9 people pass away. This includes my husband 52 in 2017 and my son 26 in June 2020. My dad passed in 2004, my grandmother in 2005. I have also had a fear based life, trauma since a young age into adulthood and more surrounding my marriage (before and after my husband passed). Learning about Grief, Breathworks, Meditation, The Vagus Nerve and more has been a life saver for me. I thank Creator for leading me to a path of deeper understanding and healing. Its people like you that I am so grateful for and appreciate as you “break trail”, for so many others. I was also in that dark place in grief you spoke of. Im so sorry for the passing of your child too. As a parent loosing a child is so brutally raw and the pain threatened my very existence. When my husband passed I wasnt breathing properly and heavily sighed alot. Had tunnel vision too. When my son passed away, 4 months later, I quit smoking. 3 months after that I was learning Breathworks. In the last two years I have slowly been learning and practicing meditation and learning how to be in a complete restful state while activating the vagus nerve. I have lived with CPTSD, anxiety, fibromyalgia and more and I can say without a doubt all these practices work. Im still a work in progress. While I aim to get better than yesterday, I am grateful for how far Ive come and all those like you who have been a part of this Journey. Hardest chapters of my life and I am still here! 🤙🏽. In a moment I can be in a tranquil and relaxed state, the power of the mind is amazing. Although I feel I live in an unsafe world, riddled with anxiety, I can find my moments of complete peace and serenity. One day hoping that I can come to this place of stillness even in a loud crowded room. Thats my goal. To be able to calm self, shut everything out and in an instant be at peace no matter where I am. With patience, consistency, persistence, training and practice I will succeed in my goals of a healthier me✌🏼. I just acquired the book “Accessing the Healing Power of the Vagus Nerve” and its the first time learning these practices bring hope in treating Autism too. So excited to learn more. Thank you for sharing your Journey. 🙏🏽🤗
Hi Lisa, I am very sorry to hear of the losses you have encountered. The death of a loved one is so traumatic and you have experienced more than any human deserves. I am hugely impressed with your spirit and willingness to heal. They are the two key ingredients needed for progress. I pray for your continued success and wish you well. Justin
I've recently started writing down (on a google doc) positive affirmations and bible verses in an attempt to reprogram my mind about myself and the world around me. The doc is constantly evolving as I add to it and shape it into who I want to be and how I want to feel about the world and myself. I read it every day to engrain it into my being. I do believe it is actually working. Some examples are: "I make the world around me a better place by making the world within me a better place" and, "I often imagine God's blessings shining out of me and aimed at other people around me, and I imagine how good they feel" Just an idea of something that could help you. Take care!
Wow---you are an inspiration Justin. I have watched lots of your videos -I do your meditations, vagus nerve exercises and my diet is not just plant based , I don’t eat processed foods or sugar which is a start. I do envy you having access to the sea and mountains since I live in a city but………………thank you for all your helpful videos, so glad I discovered you.
Thankyou! trying to find ways to work through and heal chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia, back pain...one step at a time! I believe the vagus nerve is a huge part of the answer for me..facinating learning how I can use simple ways to work with this nerve🙏
Thank you Justin. I've been putting together mental health management strategies for a long time; I trust that I've found your content at the right time, as I'm addressing the physiology of anxiety. You convey integrity. I trust you. Incidentally I've been a cold water swimmer for a while (20 mins at a stretch, in Melbourne Australia - fairly cold winters here too) and have learned a lot about the vagus nerve in recent times. I'm building my own coaching and teaching practice. Thank you for giving me new tools to add to my kit for sharing with those I will help.
Justin, love your work. Glad you finished with accepting ourselves exactly where we are, because your routine sounds truly wonderful, but is not something I could embrace fully now. Nonetheless, lots of simple, sage counsel. I long to spend more time in nature, but I'm not quite there in terms of being able to get out. One day at a time... I take my "quiet time", ie, meditation each day which I find essential. Love your accent and your prayer beads! Blessings
I appreciate what you are sharing your knowledge. I love synergy. I would like to assist with some donation, but know that you have been lifting my soul.🌼
Thx Justin, I'm from Dublin, now living in the US. Have you done SwimRise with The Happy Pear twins? It's on the bucket list for the next time I'm home. Cheers👌👍💝
I am 47. My wife is 52 and she is in menopause. Routine and structure does help, along with meditation. In addition, watching your alcohol levels and trying best to eat as clean a diet as possible.

Try that one Richard.
Do you have a video for insomnia?
I open the window in the morning, to let the cold air in.
You are a very strong man and an inspiration to many. Felt very positive listening to you. Well done. May you keep doing great work. Love from India.

@@JustinCaffrey agree - menopause has been the most challenging time to be healthy thus far!!
