Breathe in for a count of 5, breathe out for a count of 10. Focus on abdominal breathing. Cold Immersion: Cold showers stimulate the vagus nerve, promoting relaxation, reducing inflammation, and improving resilience. Eye Massage: Gently massage your eyeballs to stimulate the vagus nerve. Look left and right, holding each position for 5 seconds. Ice Pack: Apply an ice pack to your neck for 5 minutes to stimulate the vagus nerve. Humming: Hum for 10 minutes to stimulate the vagus nerve. Laughing: Laughter triggers vagus nerve stimulation, reducing stress and promoting relaxation. Gargling: Gargling loudly with saline or water stimulates the vagus nerve. Balloon Blowing: Raising intrathoracic pressure by blowing a balloon stimulates the vagus nerve. Valsalva Manoeuvre: Inhale, close your glottis, and strain, increasing abdominal pressure. Intense Activity & Rest: Short bursts of intense activity followed by complete rest stimulates the vagus nerve and promotes rapid recovery. I am disgusted by the doctors at Kaiser. My dad trusted his doctor religiously 😢-this “quack” staunchly denied that my dad was suffering from Parkinson’s when we started seeing signs in his late 60’s and 70’s-this doctor refused to test for years- as a result, my dad suffered terribly under this doctors “care”- terrible gastrointestinal issues which brought him agony until my dad passed from Parkinson’s complications at 82.
This is why the Doctor started this video by saying “the problem is that we are broken into sub-specialties that don’t speak to each other, and no one brings this all together!”
@hawkinscsa I have the same problem unfortunately…my recent episode of aFib is definitely connected to my other organs and gut which perhaps is the trigger but because the healthcare system in the US operates in isolation, the doctors do not care to look at you holistically, plus that is not how they were trained. They prescribe Metoprolol and Eliquis instantly to avoid a stroke. A good DO, not MD can get you back on track and identify the trigger. BUT trust yourself, and do your homework.

In the past I’ve mentioned to several doctors that I’m sure I have SIBO and vagus nerve related problems. I usually get talked over and told that I don’t know what I’m talking about. Glad to finally see a video on this.
I have suffered with CPTSD for many years and I know only too well how corrupted your vegus nerve becomes due to this state of being. I have experienced all of the side effects of an unhappy vegus nerve and believe me, it has been hell! This information is vital for holistic wellbeing and the good doctor is correct, no one talks about this vital nerve. Never, not once has any therapist or medical practitioner even mentioned it to me. I am only aware of its impact by virtue of RUclips!!! God bless these resources!!! 🙏 in my humble experience, Ujayyi breath is the most powerful tool for calming this nerve. I also recommend yoga, meditation and AUM chanting! ❤️ as well as a good diet that is based in whole food and good fats, B complex supplements 🙏
Taking a slow deep breath in, holding for as long as possible, and taking a slow deep breath out really helps me in what seemingly activates my vagus nerve.
Organic oil of cloves , oregano, cinnamon. One drop of each with1/2 teaspoon of organic olive oil.Philosophy of gratitude, hugging, touching, laughing, purpose of living.
You are so lovely. You remind me of my own dad. He was a medical doctor and he spent more time teaching and practicing about health and not about disease and surgeries.
Doc, is it not fashionable to say that people should do pranayama or kapalabhati breeting? These are techniques described in the Hindu scriptures many thousands of years ago. Western practitioners adopt these without giving any credit to the original source. This comment should not detract from the awesome videos Dr P produces. The first video on fasting was mind boggling to me and adopted one meal day very easily and would watch that video over and over. OMAD or 48hr fasting became easy because the reason for fasting was so clearly explained. It changed my health and reversed my diabetes
What is crazy is, I was Fasting for Jesus and HE sent me to this man to help with other things I was fasting for, like my weight and health. I have been watching so many of his videos. Good stuff..PRAISE JESUS🙌🙌🙌
I was looking for Yoga and benefits on YT, YT algorithm referred me to man. So praise YT artificial intelligence and praise Google and Jesus for giving intelligence.
@Lisa-hm2mp amen. He also cares about our physical health. The first time I biblical fasted on what I thought was my las day a sermon on fasting showed up on my YT. Took me to several more days of fasting. Received healing in that time. Praise the Most High for He loves his children ❤
Fantastic info used this doctors fasting advice a year ago lost 20 kg of fat put on 15 kg of muscle with intense weight training and swimming. I am 62 yes you can do it if you want it. Many thanks to this wonderful doctor 😊
Dr. J. I have been listening you for a long time. You have saved my life. You are a gift to this world. Bless you for sharing your knowledge. It is so obvious how much you care about helping people and how passionate you are about natural healing.
While his medical knowledge is brilliant, he also have a great understanding of psychosocial and social phenomenon. I wish someone like him fight for president. A president whose goal is to keep his people out of chronic issues and sociatal issues. Plus, he can talk passionately and non cryptic way
I _Never_ believed in "Breathing Exercises" until lately. Two components that Dr. Jamnadas speaks to that affects me Individually: 1.) My "sliding" hiatal Hernia (an internal physiological problem), which when triggered, directly "mis-stimulates" my Vagus nerve, causing Heart palpitations and/or severe heartburn. 2.) How Breathing management can turn on, and turn off many, many human neural system responses. Example: Have a hard time going to sleep? Do 10 minutes of 4-10-7 breathing technique exercise. Inhaling for 4 seconds, holding your breath for 10 seconds, and exhaling for 7 seconds. For about 7 Minutes, or 2 splits of 4 minutes each. Similar for Hiatal Hernia cause heartburn.
If you can nasal breath i recommend keeping your mouth shut for exercise, go at that pace. Slow or what speed you can with mouth closed. I've had premature heartbeat for 15 years, it's related to direct daily work stress, low nitric oxide production, less vein puffy ness. When my belly is fatty/puffy higher visceral fat. It might be heart fat pushing on it. Or some say aortic area pressure pushing up on your heart too. I'm glad it's working for you. I think cold showers help me. Wim hoff method too. or slow breath out holds and walking around. Maybe get a blood o2 saturation meter and see if you can get it to drop. It's an indicator of co2 tolerance. When co2 goes up nitric oxide production goes up. And it lessens total pressures and increases total circulation for the same cardiac output.
I went to a chiropractor for hiatal hernia. A chiropractor can pop that back into place. I had a treatment, then a month later, a second. I started eating a lot of meat and eggs, as I had not been prior. I figured the meat and eggs would help to build that muscle. Those two things helped fix the hiatal hernia, fast. Best to you. Hh is no fun way to live.
I love this video and the character of Dr. Pradip!!❤ At the 24-minute mark, he talks about stimulating the carotid area through gentle massage and ice pak. This hit home for me as I did have an SVT during a treadmill stress test this year.!! I have been learning more about the Vagus nerve and believe I have been in a constant sympathetic state for a long time. I need to focus on the list of hacks he presents here for recovery.
Why don’t we get this information from our GP’s? Why do we have to suffer for years without this important information that can solve alot of chronic pain out there. Thank you Dr. I can’t wait to try all of these hacks. God bless. 😊
Thank you doctor. I have had sympathetic surgery and my life has changed a lot afterwards and I am grateful that you have explained things that are related to this and that you are now finally giving me the opportunity to change things for the better. Thank you.
The Universe brought me to this video. I just watched this full episode fully, TWICE back to back. Wow. Outstanding! This is how you spend your added value Friday! 🙏🏻
Bless you Dr Pradip J. I am learning so much so easily from you and changing my family’s lifestyle! We’re truly lucky to have someone like you educating the planet. Good Karma is overflowing in your pot 🙏🙏💐 Please don’t ever stop your videos .
I've lost weight and become much healthier after listening to this doctor. My husband too! At his recent health check, his doctor asked him what he's been doing as his scores were so good. He said intermittent fasting and lowering starches and sugars!
From someone who has begun the hacking of that other thing he talks about, the psychological part of things, i would recomend Gabor Maté. I really think bringing this holistic ways in with the way we do things in medicin today could heal the world. Also understanding how to heal our stressed cultures and our selves. Sending a hug to your vagus nerves from Norway ❤
Wow 🤩🙏 right from the first minute of listening this doctor I’ve been blown away. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏This is the best explanation about my so ‘deadly’, ‘live shortening’, degenerating condition. I was told that I need to manage my heart condition from 4 different pillars. Like a chair 🪑, I was told by my health care provider that, in order to keep my heart pumping to keep me alive, I have to take medications for each ‘leg of my chair’ to extend my life. No one ever mentioned the VAGUS NERV, that by the way I pointed out right when I enter into A&E in Hospital because I had all the symptoms that indicate my automated nerve system was not working. It was all ignored as if I spoke an alien language. Intentionally or not, consciously or not, the medical staff might have been trained to repeat a narrative that, if not convincing, it must be intimidating and scary. Their aim to let your fear make you surrender to their instructions designed by those who profit 💰 from your vulnerable condition.
I'm good with that!!! What meds are truly needed in a healthy society. Maybe some antibiotics in very tiny doses. EPI pens, anesthesiologist stuff, But if you did everything he suggest and live a stress free life. NOTHING.
@@Needless2say So simple to see why and agree with their logic. very cool. To be indoctrinated with bad advice and believe the authority that tells it to you. Sounds very communistic. Logic would say they are the smart ones, so go with what they say.
I can tell you that this Man has changed my life. It was very easy for me to stop all sugar, most carbs and fast everyday and everyone is telling me that I look so much better and I lost sagging fat in my face that I look younger. I looked good already(not boasting) now I look even better. I had Afib, heart failure and kidneys failure stage 3a. I still worry about my health and have always felt fine but knowing I am doing what I am supposed to be doing, if I die I will not feel bad because I know I have tried my best. Oh and by the way I have never tried alcohol, cigarettes or drugs of any kind. My hope is something like gene therapy or stem. Cell therapy will be able to help heal my kidneys because they say you cannot heal your kidneys.
I read someone's comment somewhere that they heal their kidneys .don't know where .but i remember he also did with diet .just telling you so you keep on doing what you are doig
Kidneys can and do heal if. IF. Listen to your symptoms , that’s the only way your body can talk to you, and correct whatever it is that you are doing to harm them.
I yawn and get ear crackling as soon as I hack my vagus nerve, and I concur that both the eye massage and carotid artery massage get me yawning pretty much instantly.
I absolutely love this Dr's message and all his videos! His teachings are so informative and he cuts to the chase. As a patient, I really appreciate this channel! Thank you

Thank you so much for this valueable information. I wish I knew this sooner. My cardiologist only said that my heart condition isnt dangerous and I shouldnt worry about the arythm and 20.000 extra beats per day .. Now I know why I have this and why I get light headed after standing up and what I can do to get better. Thank you so much for having a hollistic look over this Situation.❤

Dr. Pradip is such a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate the holistic approach to health and healing. I’m an RN and I’m gaining so much from this lecture. The question about fasting & pre menopausal was great and so helpful for me
Thank you Dr. Everything you said make me understand clearly about my inflammation, I have bad headaches everyday from immune compromised from biological drug that they gave me two year ago, and every time I swim my inflammation decreased, now I know why I felt better after swim because the breathing in and out during swimming, Wow I just know that breathing in and out in the water stimulates Vegas nerve, and yoga breathing techniques helping my inflammation decreased, when I have bad headaches i medication and it help. You have explained clearly how yoga link to Vegas nerve
Love this! Thank you, doc for presenting this information what many other doctors don't know 🤔 Amazingly, many people don't know the function of the vagus nerve.
OMG, you make so much sense in everything you say Doctor. Thank God , we still have doctors like you who connect the whole body and treat
I wish he was a dept. Head, mandating this material to ALLLLL students of medicine !!
Dr.Pradip Jamnadas, Sir always indepted to you for changing my life and lifestyle. you are Godsend, thanks so much

Excellent lecture! I am not a medical person but I could understand everything the doctor has taught in the class. Thanks a lot Doctor Pradip ❤️❤️
You are so lovely. You remind me of my own dad. He was a medical doctor and he spent more time teaching and practicing about health and not about disease and surgeries.
Doctor, you are such an angel, I love all your lectures. keep them coming, and thank you!
If My people humble themselves and change their ways....... Thank you doctor for doing your job with Divine wisdom.
China.
I believe this doctor and Dr Berg are helping my nerves. Thank you
What is crazy is, I was Fasting for Jesus and HE sent me to this man to help with other things I was fasting for, like my weight and health. I have been watching so many of his videos. Good stuff..PRAISE JESUS🙌🙌🙌
I was looking for Yoga and benefits on YT, YT algorithm referred me to man. So praise YT artificial intelligence and praise Google and Jesus for giving intelligence.
The exact same thing has happened to me. Praise the Lord.
@@devonsmith602 I got the chills when I read this. WOW.. Jesus is EVERYTHING!! ALL PRAISE TO OUR ALMIGHTY KING!🙌🙌🙌
Yoga is not in alignment with Jesus @@skwish6401
Plus, he can talk passionately and non cryptic way
Exactly.
I love him so much! Also learned so much from him too.The best Doctor! ❤
I _Never_ believed in "Breathing Exercises" until lately. Two components that Dr. Jamnadas speaks to that affects me Individually:
1.) My "sliding" hiatal Hernia (an internal physiological problem), which when triggered, directly "mis-stimulates" my Vagus nerve, causing Heart palpitations and/or severe heartburn.
Great and informative. ❤
Pradip!!❤
At the 24-minute mark, he talks about stimulating the carotid area through gentle massage and ice pak. This hit home for me as I did have an SVT during a treadmill stress test this year.!!
I have been learning more about the Vagus nerve and believe I have been in a constant sympathetic state for a long time. I need to focus on the list of hacks he presents here for recovery.
I don’t know how this Dr ended up on my feed but wow what a blessing! He explains things so clearly where I’m able to process and apply! ❤
Dr pradip is a genius and a good hearted Dr.
Thank you very much ❤
RUclips rockstar. Thanks for changing my life.
Why don’t we get this information from our GP’s? Why do we have to suffer for years without this important information that can solve alot of chronic pain out there. Thank you Dr. I can’t wait to try all of these hacks. God bless. 😊
He gets my attention so easily. A wonderful physician and educator.
The most AMAZING doctor / person whatever else!! Simply the best!! Gratitude.
He makes me smile while giving me great information.
I’m having a lot of trouble with this. And can’t seem to get Dr. to believe me. I’m glad I found this
Safe me with intermitted fasting and now theVagus nerve. Breathing amazing. Love Him
Yes I follow a lot of his diet, now I feel 30 years old I'm better after 25 years of sickness he really understand the body
Where can I find the diet information thank you
a renowned cardiologist and wellness advocate. 🤩😍🥰
The way you started without your material ready yes you still painted a cohesive picture to help me understand. Thank you so much for all you do.
This made me question every behaviour of mine as well as others and also gave answers to many questions . Thankyou for such good work. God Bless you
Wow 🤩🙏 right from the first minute of listening this doctor I’ve been blown away.
' Vagabond Nerve ' 😂 Just love yr description . . . . how witty u are. . ..Yr lingo is insane
. .😮😊 soo imaginative . . . Sooo Expressive 🎉
Vagus/Vagabond isn’t just a clever pun. They come from the same Latin root which means to wander. I love this man too.
In some cultures, "Vago" also means someone who doesn't do anything, also refers to street dogs/ cats, etc.
Wow, this doctor is just fantastic. I was totally mesmerized . I wish I had the list of the various techniques to stimulate the vagas nerve.
I feel better from seeing this lecture. A happy tear.
Thank you Sir.
I am so amazed by this brilliant doc and thankful for his love to share his God given wide range of knowledge!
Dr. Pradip is a genius. I'm in awe.
1:05:50 This is just amazing. Play it over and over until you get it❤
Absolutely amazing!!! That's exactly what I am learning to do!! Absolutely love this DR and his messages!!!
I love this man!!! How lucky we are to have him!!!! Thank you, Dr. Jamnadas🙂🙏. How I wish he was my doctor right now.
Love this guy! 🙌🏼Wish my western trained doc son would listen and learn.
All so common sense.
Dr. P could literally bankrupt the pharmaceutical industry !
I'm good with that!!! What meds are truly needed in a healthy society. Maybe some antibiotics in very tiny doses. EPI pens, anesthesiologist stuff, But if you did everything he suggest and live a stress free life. NOTHING.
Good, hope he does!!
We all can with connection. We allow this world he's just shining a light but hopefully more and more people will see
Soone of the longest living people report they never go see the drs.
@@Needless2say So simple to see why and agree with their logic. very cool. To be indoctrinated with bad advice and believe the authority that tells it to you. Sounds very communistic. Logic would say they are the smart ones, so go with what they say.
He is a blessing for humanity. I love his lectures full of knowledge to self heal.
Please write a Vegas Nerve for Dummies! You rock!
I love listening to these lectures.
I yawn and get ear crackling as soon as I hack my vagus nerve, and I concur that both the eye massage and carotid artery massage get me yawning pretty much instantly.
Wow, you used the word yawn and all of a sudden I yawned. Unreal...
Looking forward to listening to this!!!!
I absolutely love this Dr's message and all his videos! His teachings are so informative and he cuts to the chase. As a patient, I really appreciate this channel! Thank you
Thank you doc. I hope God will bless you a long life to serve many to get healed.
EXCELLENT video. Easy to follow and comprehend. I will incorporate these steps to improve my Vagus nerve. Thank you Dr!
This lecture is worth Millions and in fact priceless ❤❤
You are absolutely amazing!!! I am so grateful universe sent me to you the moment i asked what to do with my health issue!!! I can't thank you enough for helping me understand and take charge of my life and health!!! Keep Shining beautiful soul!!!!
take a long breath out! This is healing
Dr.Pradip Jamnadas a talented doctor. I really liked this info. Best qualified doctor on the internet.
Wow I could listen to him forever I really needed this right now working on this immediately
Dr your lecture supports the naturopathy treatment where we use a wet pack on the abdomen and neck. Now we know why. Also the pranayama and bramari excercise are all supported by your talk. Thanks for showing the link between the technology of the past with the present
I knew intuitively about the vagus..immense gratitude for this summary. My yoga breathing takes on a whole new meaning now
I always get psyched when I see new Dr J content!! He was very instrumental in the success I had on my health crusade that I began years ago...... Embracing his insight and knowledge took me to another level!
Love this! Thank you, doc for presenting this information what many other doctors don't know 🤔
Amazingly, many people don't know the function of the vagus nerve. I worked in a holistic chiropractic environment for years. As a chiropractic assistant, we learned everything about the central nervous system, that controls every function internally, the vagus nerve played a impressive healing function!
I, too, feel like I was directed to this video right from God. Bless you, Dr. Jamnadas, as I am dealing with a bout of anxiety. You are doing God's work!
This guy puts out pure gold!
I find myself smile while listening to him.
Thank you for providing this information for free! ❤ So many others turn this info into a course and charge big bucks for it. ❤
I need to listen to this many times so I can remember more.Fabulous infos.Thank u doc.
