This was great and helpful. What about general maintenance for these types of locks (cleaning? lubrication?) I have a lock that once you get the key into the cylinder it's really difficult to get the key out and you have to massage and hold down the tumbler a little bit (in just the right way) to get the key out. Any thing I can do to fix that maybe?

Great question. I would make sure the cylinder is perfectly vertical as I demonstrated in the video and use a spray silicone lubricant through a straw to lubricate the internal pins.

What if it’s the opposite issue where the outside lock is fine but can’t lock from the inside from it being loose?

Rotate the lock cylinder so it is perpendicular to the floor (straight up and down) and it should accept the key to unlock.
