too bad there are still people willing to pay the overinflated price. Regardless of whether the new trucks are reliable, Toyota is spending less building these than the last gen, yet charging a ridiculous amount more. If people would just stop willingly overpaying, the prices will go down a lot more. People claiming there will be a trump tariff on Mexico built trucks are not educated on his USMCA for north America which includes Mexico.
2021 Off-road long bed, fully loaded, and out the door for just under $41k … I wanted to like the new Gen Tacomas, but no, I’m super happy with my truck. The new ones with all the glitter and tech just look cheap, given the issues (I’d never buy first year of a new Gen) it would be a cold day before I went in on a 4 banger to haul my boat. If they start offering the previous 6 cylinder drive train in the new truck, I might think about it.. discounted by $12k of course 🤔
My company truck which is an F150 2023 turbo charged V6 has that same problem that that guy is saying about his Tacoma it's the F150 is doing the same thing it jerks or makes a sudden clunking on slow down coming to a stop!
Have the dealer clear your learn mode for Transmission on F150, this could solve problem. My neighbor has a new Tacoma, no issues at this time with transmission.
If you are looking at the overall sales drop, you have to factor in the change in model production down time. In addition, it takes workers time to become efficient at producing something new. Meaning, production output will be lower month to month compared to the out going model. This can take several months and is dependent on the capabilities of the workers hired. On top of that, Toyota was dealing with suppliers having labor shortages. These factors are going to be the primary causes of lower sales. If you want to eliminate this from the equation, you need to find out the production numbers. Almost every manufacturer is seeing a decrease in overall sales as a result of inflation and higher loan rates. This is the reason the Fed raised the overnight rate the past year to slow spending. Now the Fed is lowering the rate as inflation begins to cool and this will encourage more spending.
Toyota is going to have to close the BaJa manufacturing facility. Bring it back to San Antonio TX. And please get rid of the 4 cylinder and bring back the v6.
You got to be kidding me it's the manual transmissions that have a problem!!! I saw videos where they were doing product reviews and the transmission puked in the middle of the review!
@@bradymac7516Spot on, detuning to prevent usually just means something is weak in the system and will ultimately still fail. However, Toyota just pushed it outside the warranty period so it's not covered.
Toyota has hit the dirt in reliability it’s a shame never did I think they would go this low
I have a 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport with 5500 miles. No issues.
Don't worry you will get problems with your Toyota. Might be the engine, transmission, suspension, or frame. It's only a matter of time
@@ryanhori6954 wait until you see the diminished trade-in value....this is NOT your father's tacoma!!
Same here, only I have 2700 miles. No issues. 🤞
4k keep going and praying :D
Really changed from people saying 75k miles, no major issues
Some body trying to scare Toyota buyers. It's only a small issue so don't worry

I just got a 2024 Toyota Tacoma sport hybrid it's brand new and so far no issues but this has got me very concerned .
24' TRD OR 13K miles, smooth sailing.
That's encouraging
Sport 10k miles. Regular gas and smile..
Trd offroad, 1,700mi love it!
@@moprophotos bruh what color is your off road ?
I have a 24 trd or, no problems this is over hype
I have 2024 Sr Double Cab, just hit 2,000 hoping I don’t see these issues.
If you do it's covered under warranty i wouldn't worry
I have a 24 offroad manual just hit 17k km. This is my 6th Tacoma it's by far the best so far. I traded a 20 pro in on it no regrets at all
Mine got stuck in second gear, only 2200k
@@donays8241 I guess the important question is how did Toyota handle it?
I’ll take my 3rd gen v6 2.0 slow one over the 4th gen’s turbo and quality issues . Never buy a first year new gen car or truck . People don’t learn
My company truck which is an F150 2023 turbo charged V6 has that same problem that that guy is saying about his Tacoma it's the F150 is doing the same thing it jerks or makes a sudden clunking on slow down coming to a stop!
ok, but we are talking about the tacoma's junk transmission....

Toyota wish to be Ford so they can sell more. They don't want you to keep it million miles.
It's normal
Your thumbnail shows a 3rd gen Tacoma..but you’re taking about the 4th gens. Just an OCD observation. 😂😂
I realize lol, I'm hoping the AI image generators catch on soon
Hope Toyota learns its lesson.
I recommend do not buy fourth generation Tacoma. I recommend the second generation which is a strong truck on the third generation.

Because president Trump is going to put a 25% tariff on Mexico! Thank god
The v6 was so underpowered and slow compared to the new 4cyl
@@reecec8490That isn’t going to happen, we still have NAFTA
@@tyrsafray4640
Except that it is called the USMCA, since 2020.
Keep up.
@ also if you want a turbo then buy a 6 cylinder and add a turbo. It would still be cheaper then purchasing a new Gen 4 and you would have more HP
You got to be kidding me it's the manual transmissions that have a problem!!! I saw videos where they were doing product reviews and the transmission puked in the middle of the review!
Well, my 4gen Tacoma has transmission problems, toyota is going to replace for a new transmission.
My tacoma is not in TSB VIN LIST.
Wow, please keep us updated on your experience with this
Once the Trump tariffs hit, Taco imports will end.
Exactly! I bought a 2020 trd pro Tacoma new because it was the last year built in San Antonio
@@reecec8490 I expect Taco production for the US market will end and Toyota will sell only Tundras in the US.
@@steven4315 nope, they will build them in America again.....that's the whole point of president Trump's economic plan.
People will still buy the fourth gen Tacoma because simply, they don’t give a crap about reliability and price.
sales on the 4th gen will go down when all the gay men have one.
@ Yea, all the liberals will love that comment!🤣
Yep, new Tacoma is a TRANSITION truck from a Ridgeline..😂
@@Teacher659 the ridgeline is not really a truck
🤣😅😂 I know Bill! I was being sarcastic, my intentions were that the only guy’s buying 4th gen’s were the limp wristed Ridgeline Boyz! 😂
Good thing I have a six speed manual 2024 Tacoma😅
yeah right ! It will likely fail Too, they did a software "Fix" to limit the power... ie detuned the power to save the clutch ! 🤣 Good luck
