Beautiful and creative. I absolutely love anything that has lemon in it. If I may offer a small change to your recipe... I'm sure you know that all butter gives and intense flavour and all oil make it light and fluffy. I have started making pound cakes with a 50/50 mix of butter and oil. It just makes the cake a little less filling. I realize in this particular recipe it probably needs to be all butter to support the weight but in the future I suggest trying the 50/50 mix and see what you think?
