Always great advice pal - I’m consistently looking at your videos for more info and advice! We have one large circular 4 acre lake (with an island 😅) and one 1 acre circle stock pond about 5ft deep max! Using Bp gold and cereal supplement too! We had a carp come out June 4th 11lb and came out October 8th 15lb! great advice and great info!

Awesome videos as always. I was wondering if you would be interested in making a video about how to feed your fish (C2) during the growth period. How you adjust the dose, some general tips and so on. I for example am feeding around 2-3% of their body weight, two days per day. I adjust by being on-site and seeing what the fish are doing. If they are eating I ramp up the dosage. If they do not I adjust again. Last year I fed only once and my new above-described approach really did wonders for the growth. I can see around 300g difference compared to last year per fish. I am harvesting in the first week of November and looking forward to the results.

Good idea! I’ve got lots of topics that I want to cover, i think this could be a good one to include with fish harvest upcoming.

@@BPMilling That would be amazing! I think that this is a subject that not a lot of people are debating (at least online) and would help a lot stock pond managers around the globe. Whatever you do I am looking forward to your videos. Really helps a lot. If you would not be in the UK I would support you and try out your feed (or at least try to convince my fishing club to try it out)! Cheers from Slovenia and a happy harvest, the cherry on top of everything we do.

Very useful, but somewhat specimen carp oriented? Do the same principles apply to mixed fisheries?

I’d say this one’s pretty universal for still water course fisheries to be honest. All coarse fish have the same demands as Carp, it’s down to the population management to balance the stock in the favour of whichever species you want to encourage. Carp just seem to be the species that most of our followers are interested in.

As alwasy a great and informative video, looking to restore a lake soon (tench, crucians and rudd), and the information on depth was especially pertinent, struggling a little more with the island issue mostly from an asthetic and wildlife perspective (there is already one there) but i know stock managment will be a significant issue especially if we also stock rudd. Tough decisions ahead. Cheers

I just wanted to share my thoughts on some of the design aspects of creating a fishery, pleased that you found it helpful. I don’t mean for this to be a hard example of how you should/shouldn’t design a fishery, if it provokes thought then the video has done it’s job. 😁
