First time fishing the Cumbria coast - Whitehaven Pier!

- Took the advantage of getting in a couple of hours fishing whilst on a weekend away with the mrs.
Original plan was to fish up to high Saturday night, but with strong 50mhp winds and rain, we gave that a miss and fished 3.5 hours down to low Sunday before the journey home.
Not the ideal plan but we did beat the blank with a couple of dog fish.

You have to fish that pier on an incoming tide!
Also it fishes much better in rough weather! Nice video though lad! 👍

Good stuff. We don't get a lot of doggies here in the NE Scotland so I'd be happy to catch a few now and again.

@@fishingcountrylifewithtommyjoe shame we couldn’t get out Saturday night, would defo come back and give it a go on a night high tide. Still nice to fish a new venue and get a few fish 👍🏻🎣
Nice vid mate, always hear good things about there. As you said a new mark ticked off, few fish and the dolphins. Good memories 😊🎣

Last time I fished Whitehaven was 1977.
We used to travel up for the winter Cod fishing.
@@martinmcderby2956 seems to be some good cod marks around that coast, wouldn’t mind another trip up over the winter 👍🏻
