Hi! Does buttercream cakes need to be chilled for transportation or not? I don't chill my cakes. I'm from Puerto Rico and hete we have a tropical climate.
Great question. Our owner just wrote a blog post on this topic, I'll link it below. A short answer is, if you're used to transporting unchilled cakes you can definitely still use a CakeSafe. We have many customers in Puerto Rico, I would recommend putting a blanket or large towel over the CakeSafe to protect it from UV rays that can change the color of the icing.
