      Indeed. BIG FAIL for them to go with the ugly, bug-faced, 2009-era headlight. By contrast, round headlights are timeless and will never go out of style. That's why the original Hornets (599 and 919 here in the USA) still look so good to this day.

      Most, but not all. I (and many others I'm sure) enjoy the feel and responce of a cable throttle way more than its electronic counterpart (present on any bike with "rider modes"). I'd be willing to give up other features (like the modes, auto blip, etc) to retain it.
      Same goes for that ridiculous monstrosity they call a gauge cluster. I already have a big screen. Several, actually. Don't need one on the bike. It'll make all the professional opinion-havers very happy I'm sure, but to me it detracts from the experience.

      Absolutely! The 650 has that solid and robust quality look. The 750 looks like some shit made of cheap plastic. I know that as a rider I could enjoy that perfect Honda everything (I find that perfectly suitable for me) but still the quality machine SHOULD have a quality look too. It IS a part of that rider feeling since we, human beings, have a memory...

    Why can't honda move away from the old design language? They did it with the 300, 650, and 1000, but kept the old language with the 500, and now kept it again for this. Based on what honda have said, I was really expecting something different and cool, not a cb500f with a bigger engine and a 5 inch TFT display. Sad. I thought honda would use this as an opportunity, but took two steps back with the look while taking a step forward with everything else. I was super excited but now I'm just looking at this as another bike to look past.

With that being said - I do like the cheesy red forks /black color way and it will be competitive at 8k usd... but maybe a little small

    The CB650R has far more in common with the Hornet lineage than this new 750. Every Hornet until now, whether 250, 600, or 900, has been an inline four. Most of them had round headlights and a UJM-inspired look. All were supposed to be sporty nakeds that could double up as commuter bikes. This CB750 looks fine, but slapping the "Hornet" label on it seems a bit arbitrary.

    • @Oatmeal4Breakfast
      @Oatmeal4Breakfast 2 года назад

      @@ignaciobrenner1620 I didn't say 4 cyl bikes are perfect I said it's their sound that is perfect. And if with the early torque of a v twin for popping wheelies and quick accn, that would be a perfect all rounder bike. But all of that doesn't matter if you're going on a weekend blast on highways or racetrack and not in day to day traffic commutes. You can always keep the engine on boil to extract the max power of 4 cyl. And in that situation only the sound of the engine matters and that's where inline 4 wins. And the smoothness vibe free that it brings is also an added bonus. The only thing 4 cyl are lacking is their low to mid range torque which is very essential for in and out traffic accn. without burning much fuel and drawing unnecessary attention when you're not really going fast. But still the accn is more than enough to go woosh* from stop or slow moving traffic, it's just that it's not as good as v twin bikes. But on highways 4 cyl is better than any twin or 3 cyl coz of the top end performance. Thumpers Twin and 3 cyl will run out of max torque much earlier than 4 cyl when you're going really really fast. There's a reason for almost all leader bikes having 4 cyl. And no; 4 cyl are not going away. They're just going away in the middleweight segment. 1000 cc is dominated by 4 cyl.

The Hornet is marketing’s way of generating media interest and means that any future bike will be introduced as ‘having the engine from the Hornet’ and not ‘having the engine from the 750F’ to give added interest, kudos and credibility.

I'm sure it will have no problems since its a Honda, but I dont like to be so close to red line, so I think at reasonable rpm it will not have that much more power over the Yamaha and Suzuki. I was kinda hoping it would be a long stroking engine, kinda like the Africa Twin, with lots of low end torque. Still I can not wait to test ride this baby.
