After almost 30 years in this beautiful hobby these little guys are my favorite fish. I currently have the blue Silverado, from bio-aquatic, some red chested, and some hybrids.
I catch them in a pond behind my house I live in the Caribbean and they are gorgeous. Wen my tank is full I release 3/4of them back to the river to repopulate my local ponds I do my part every one needs to help
they live free in smalls rivers in el salvador as well kids keep then as pets mixed w guppys in rudimental fish tanks and the colors are super beautiful, nice video by the way
My favorite fish. Active, brave, hardy and fun.Since I have a few of them they make my Galaxy Rasboras active and not shy. Black bar are my favorite type
Enjoying your videos very much, I’ve only been in the aquarium hobby since April of last year so i’m a newbie eager to learn from generous folks just like yourself. I belong to the Aquarium Coop too and enjoy their live stock very much but I do not like there recent Sponge filters of which I had been happily using in all four of my tanks. However during a pleasant addition of Yo-yo loaches 10 in all in my heavily planted 75 gallon tank I soon realized that these sponges will release the waist it had collected by the slightest knock or nudge 😮. This upset my stable water quality so much I could hardly see through it, I then went to 4 in tank Air Driven Box Filters Filled with tightly packed polyester batting material. This method has worked so well my tank is now crystal clear.
Thank your very much for the kind words. Box filters do a good job of keeping the water clear as long a keep up on them. One trick with sponge filter is to put them in a fish bag before you take the out of the water. I will collect a lot of the waste.
I am not that quick @@FishTankBarn and these sponges don't secure the waist from being upset by a Cory or loach of which I have many. Thank you for the tip though 😁.
It depends on what you plan is with the guppies. If you add the genetics of the endler then you are basically turning your guppy's into mutts and not the strain that you have now. If you want to keep pure strains then I wouldn't mix them.
I keep a lot of location specific wild fish so I am not a huge fan of hybrids. You make hybrids if you want but you would need disclose that if you were selling your fish
I have a question that no one can seem to answer for me...I have one glofish female danio alone in a 5 gallon right now. In the next few weeks I'll be getting a ten gallon tank, where I'll have her and im also adding 2 cory catfish. I want to have only male endlers in there also...BUT the question is, can I add my female glofish with all male fish endlers in the same tank??? pls pls help
@@FishTankBarn okay great! one more question...I have a petsmart near me about 10 mins away, and a petco all the way across town about 45 mins away. Petsmart doesn't sell endlers but petco does. i don't want to jeopardize the safety and health of the fish, so should I get the endlers from petco or find another compatible fish at petsmart. ? what do u think??
can u tell me one things I dont have that much experience about fish but I tried many times to keep this fishes but i dont know why they were jumping out of the aquarium for some crazy reason i dont know they died preety quickly, I never had success keeping this fishes why is that ? can anyone help ?
If they are jumping out then I would make sure to have a tight fitting lid. Are you having success with other fish and endler are the problem. What are you water parameters?
@@FishTankBarn Hi, I actually dont know much about water parameters also. So is this heavily related to water parameters ? do i have to measure that ? normally long time ago I had gold fish they dont really had any problems but these fishes had problems. Thanks for your reply though.
@@ritwijsasmal6568 My guess is that it is. I would like to us the Aquarium Coop test strips. I would first attention to the ammonia level (which should be 0) and then GH and KH to make sure our water is hard enough for the endlers.
@@FishTankBarn Ya I have looked at a few videos now and they are considered very hardy. I'm going to add some to my school of black neon tetra that aren't super active and for some more color. The other fish are zebra and kuhli loaches, I've never had luck keeping cory catfish :(

I'm enjoying your editing and narrating
I am glad that you are enjoying it Nanette.
I just got some endlers from Lucas Bretz...they are awesome, can't wait til they grow up enough to breed.
👍💓👍
Cool ShelbyRae! Good thing about endlers is that usually doesn't take long.
My favorite endler is the El Tigre! They Look so cool!
I like those as well! great looking fish
I used to catch endlers In Puerto Rico, in the 1960S I was 6yrs old
That must have been fun! I would love to do that now!
Nice informative video. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
Thanks Lumpy! Glad the you enjoyed it.

I want to keep all male endlers in a 10 gallon planted aquarium, would that work, how many in a 10 gallon?
Sorry for the delayed response. I would say a small group of 10-15 would be fine
Thank you man.
Your welcome Guppy Specimen! Thank you for watching.
I had a bunch of black bar endlers die off except for 1 female, thinking of mixing her with either snakeskin guppies or black moscows.

What’s a great fish to add to an endless tank to help control overpopulation? My endlers don’t appear to eat their fry at all.
Depends on the tank size but I would look at something like an apisto or kribensis
Nice!
Thank you Jack S!

You should be fine adding your female glofish. The glofish that are sold in the hobby are not endlers, so you will be fine.
