These fish are so easy to keep, words like "care" and "breed" I feel are a misnomer for them, because you only need to HAVE them, and it requires absolutely zero effort on your part for them to do their thing. They are two steps shy from requiring about as much care as a pet rock. This is also supported by the fact that the endler part of this video is 3 and a half minutes long. The only deaths that happened in my tank so far were due to old age. Great fish for beginners indeed!
Totally agree. I bought a female guppy with no male guppies for my tank. On the night I bought her before putting her in the tank, she starting giving birth! I had about 4 generations emerge from her offspring.
It’s so crazy how fun livebearers are. I started out with 3 guppies and now I can even count how many I have. They have so much personality and just love feeding time. Very interesting fish.
They are my favorite. I am breeding a male with a bunch of guppies to make super cool looking fish. And i know most people dont want people making extra hybrids, but its my thing
Corey, great video! I breed endlers and you are right on! I had tanks of guppies crash, while the wild and tank-bred endlers thrived. Keep up the great work. You've made our hobby better and better! Keep teaching, brother, and I'll keep watching!
Enjoying my Endlers, 30 gallon, no heater, sponge filter, planted with easy things to grow, a few catfish, some cherry shrimps, quite a baby boom in progress
I feed mine frozen daphnia every couple of days, they get hikari first bites and fancy guppy food, along with algae flakes too. I keep mine in a planted tank with bucephalandra, anubis barteri, nana petite, and a couple varieties of java fern. I got mine from the endler shop and love them, they're easily my favorite fish to keep and breed.
I bought 'feeder guppies' almost 2 years ago, and now I have multiple tanks of endlers: lyretail make up ~ 20%, a top sword for about 30% and bottom sword ~ 30%. I have fallen in love with the neon bright salmon coloring, the black "eye spots", and the iridescent blue that edges the scales (even my females have enough iridescence to show up in the right light). Absolutely love them, and the turtle is not opposed either.
My all time fav livebearer, took absolute years before females were available in the UK, had to import from USA Adrian HD 10 years back to be able to breed true strains. Happy to have so many strains available in the UK hobby 2020!
Thank you, I love your videos! I am a new hobbyist and your videos are so easy to follow and understand and you provide all the essential information a new hobbyist needs to know. :)
👏👏👏 yey! So totally excited and happy about this video!!! I started keeping Endlers about a month or 2 ago (Black Bar and Black Bar / Peacock Cross) and I absolutely LOVE THEM! Started with 7 and currently have no less than 30!!!
i bought a bunch of ''feeder'' guppies at the petstore, they were a mix of guppies and colorful endlers, i gave them some meds and fatened them up,now there thriving!
I've kept a couple of male endlers before and had them hybridise, most of the hybrids seem to mature really fast (although a few did stay on the smaller side) and all my hybrids outcompeted the pure guppy fry. I'm setting up my big tank again and I think I'm gonna start it off with a little group of endlers. Can't go wrong with them
During Katrina I had a male endler that lived in a pickle jar for several weeks. He lived for several years and fathered babies with several female guppies 😘
I had never seen this type of guppy before, I’ve not had fish in ten years and used to have marine. I’ve just got these though. And I love them. So glad to find this guide
ha ha I bought 3 females and 1 male thinking the babies would feed my Badis... NOPE ha ha ha - 1.5 months later I have about 12 more Endlers! The Badis maybe is a bit too small to eat these, oh well if I get too many some will go back the store. It is fun to watch the babies zoom around and they feed at every level of the tank. Thanks for the Vid ACO!
Thank you. I am looking for fish for my 13 gallon. The heater died in it and I decided that I just want cold water fish for it. Endler's guppies look good.
Hi Cory - hey I’m getting some guppies (maybe endlers) from fedex today (great timing for this vid!). They are breeding stock and I’m planning on turning off the UV sterilizer when they go in. I’m assuming fry would be damaged by UV. First question is if you also believe that fry would be damaged? Second question is, if so, would there be a way to pre-filter the flat rectangular intake on the filter? Thanks!! Barb
I've kept tropical fish for many decades. Back in the '60's, I (as a kid) would go to an aquarium shop in Hammond, Indiana, called Vahn's. A frail, elderly gentleman was the owner of this very small shop. He had only one kind of fish and one species of plant for sale. Endlers and Hornwort. These were definitely Endlers and not guppies. So, in one way or another, these fish were being distributed well before Dr. John Endler reintroduced (rediscovered) them.
What is the other type of fish there at 1:49? The bigger one? Would love to know b/c I accidentally got a baby fish in my bag of others and it’s grown up and looks identical to that yellowish one, and would love to identify it!
Great video, can you do a segment on how to approach your LFS with selling the extra fry? I usually always end up getting suckered into just giving them away. Is there any logistical approach to not seem greedy as a hobbyist and not a wholesaler
Hey Corey was wondering if you have any videos on UV sterilizers? Tryin to gather info on them and all the vids I come across seem either very vague or like someone is speaking another language. Love the way you have of explaining things in a way an every day hobbyist can understand. Love your vids keep up the awesome work!
I was recommended endlers as a possible choice for my 7 gallon cube tank. What would a suitable number be for a school in that setting? And do you absolutely need females in the tank or can males cohabitate peacefully?
I have a question about Green Spotted Puffers. I have these guys in a tank with fake plants and drift wood. The plants now have hundreds of bites in them(they seem target one oval/arrow leaf shaped plant). Is there a veggie that they might eat? Or possible live plants that will thrive in brackish water that the puffers can nibble on safely?
Im planning to keep crystal red shrimp in a planted tank that has buffering substrate, the pH sits around 6.3-6.5ish is that okay for endlers? The water is also soft. I heard livebearers need hard alkaline water?
I started off with 6 endlers in a planter 5 gallon about a year and a half ago and now I’d have to guess there’s at least 30+ so what should I do? They’re all healthy and the water stays clean from a lot of plants and water changes but there’s just so many fish in such a small tank.
Cory...can they breed with guppies? What other community fishes can go with them? Thanks for the vid..keep them coming...Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.😊
John Schneider I don’t know they were sold to me as N by someone I trust but no expert I looked them up on line and blue star that LRB sells are the only one close to the look of mine
I bought 10 lime green flame tail double sword endlers and 8 months later I have +/- 100 of them. They are really easy to have in the tank and they are full of energy! The only bad thing is that my big, pregnant female endlers eat quite a few of my red cherry shrimps each day!
Hey Cory, love the channel and your products! I have a question, I recently added three male endlers to my tank of Rainbowfish (Pseudomugil furcatus) and the endlers seem to be tirelessly trying to mate and harass my rainbowfish. Is this normal will they ever stop? lol
Wow. That clip of the black and yellow endler made me realize petsmart sold me 5 endlers claming they were guppies... Wait...apparently there are endler guppies... What is life?
Sometimes they are. They are definetly small enough to be a good feeder for most fish. It really depends on the strain, some are high class and may cost $10 a piece, whereareas some aren't "cool" enough and are 50 cents. The low quality ones are normally feeders.
Hi our water in my area is 370 tds for guppy is that enough or I need to add salt to my aquarium thank you. After every water change we have some guppies deaths

They are the best! I have ordered from them several times and have always been very happy with everything.
Are endlers nippy like guppies?

@@stormcomdonson1553 I had the exact same happen to me, but it was with 1 single platy
It’s so crazy how fun livebearers are. I started out with 3 guppies and now I can even count how many I have. They have so much personality and just love feeding time. Very interesting fish.
Andrew’s College Aquariums Exactly! Most people view them as beginner fish but I love everything about them 😊
I know! I have had some for a year they are great. I just sold 20ish to my lfs.
Mary's Pet Palace was it difficult negotiating a price? What price did u settle at may I ask
Love my tiger endlers, moving them to a 60 gallon tank to get a larger population, they are friendly and active and so colorful!
They are my favorite. I am breeding a male with a bunch of guppies to make super cool looking fish. And i know most people dont want people making extra hybrids, but its my thing

I’ve had an endler live bearer for 5 years and it is still alive and energetic and I highly recommend buying one of these
Love getting a fresh ping for your videos!!
Im going to get some endlers Thai weekend for my sons tank xx

I’ve had black bar Endlers for about 3 years now and those fish multiply like crazy! But they are so cool looking, amazed with their color.
I loooove those little guys! Personality plus and always getting into things. ..and the colors on some of them. ..brilliant!
Thank you, I love your videos! I am a new hobbyist and your videos are so easy to follow and understand and you provide all the essential information a new hobbyist needs to know. :)

They're so beautiful. I just got 3 young endlers and I cant wait to see them grow.
Endlers are so much fun. I've got a planted ten gallon that is an absolute endler factory.
i bought a bunch of ''feeder'' guppies at the petstore, they were a mix of guppies and colorful endlers, i gave them some meds and fatened them up,now there thriving!
They are sold as feeders only because they were bred for that porpose. It doesnt mean that they are low quality. They can be surprisingly healthy!
Thanks for this Cory as I’m thinking of setting up an endler tank
Endlers are bullet proof, love them. You are right...win win.
👍💕👍

I need to start working with livebearers!!😍🤤
Keep up the good work mate👍
I LOVE these little fish! They’re very low maintenance, fun to watch, and are an awesome fish for Summer Tubbing!Great info Cory!👍
So basically these guys are beautiful and brilliant for beginners they look so good have to get some next time I’m at my local fish store
Love the fish near the edge of the screen at the 1:30 mark, looks like a fish dude looking for a fight
During Katrina I had a male endler that lived in a pickle jar for several weeks. He lived for several years and fathered babies with several female guppies 😘

Great Info! And beautiful goldfish tank behind ya.
I’m very experienced with fish and for some reason I’m so fascinated by endlers
One of my favorite fish! Thank you for this video!!!!
Great info always Cory, thanks for all your videos on livebearers 😁
Very helpful video definitely going to give them a try. I think they will do well with my celestial pearl danios!
Bought Blue Silverado Endlers from you a couple of years back...super fun fish!
Absolutely love them :) Blue Star or Tiger Endlers... amazing small fish
Great video Cory, I'm sold on getting some of these guys to go with my boys 20 gal platy tank.
Great video! I really enjoy this channel.
I have a lot of wild caughts hehehe, theres a small park in my town where theres a lot of small ponds with a lot of them
Listening to your Spotify podcast playlist all this week working. Had a fish swap and ended up with a bunch of guppies and enders.
Endler's are very beautiful fishes, I Love them 💝.
so true.
I love my Endler's. Probably my top favorite fish that I've ever owned. I only have males in my little 10-gallon, but they are beautiful and funny.
I have Cherry shrimp and Nerite snails with my Endlers in my 10g
They don't tend to eat their young like regular guppies do either. One of my all time favorite fish!
Yes yes yes!!! My favorite fish!!!
what kind of air stone do you have in the tank behind you in this video? Look like real fine bubbles!
Love your vids
Same
I had a colony of the red endlers in a planted 29 gallon that I may have forgotten to feed for four months. They were fine. Really are super hardy!
How can you forget to feed them for four months? That is shocking neglect
That moment when you don't feed your pet for 4 months
I am really enjoying your videos! Thank you!
The co op can become a pet store in Ca if you can get the cost of livening down in Ca.
Love endler guppies I've kept them for years, Everything thing you say in the video is true 👍🏼
Thank you. I am looking for fish for my 13 gallon. The heater died in it and I decided that I just want cold water fish for it. Endler's guppies look good.

@@GirlTalksFish thanks!!
can you pls do a video on cherry shrimp stocking tank mates, preferably 20 gal long
This is the perfect video for cuz I was just about to get guppy's 😀
Endlers for love :D 💚
My endlers got more in the wild form of time, but I do no selective breeding :)

Trust can easily be broken, but that doesn't stop Cory from movin and a groovin!
Such a great fish for a small tank too. Of course you have to manage the population but they're so little! Perfect for a 10gal.
I'm getting a group of Endlers for my tank hopefully next week, G-d Willing. They seem more colorful than ordinary Guppies...
I have 5.5 gallon planted tank, can I keep all males in the same tank?
Excellent reviews, thanksfully Txs
I must say for keeping bigger fish with enders in my experience emperor tetras are great, mine thrive together and the tank is not even that big tbh
Do you think bumblebee gobies are good with Silver shark
My Grandkids love to watch the baby Endlers! I find that Endlers are more active and lively than Guppies...
very interesting film, stay healthy !
Quick question. Do they school? Can I have one in a 10 gallon with other fish?
Awesome fish, I love mine!
I was recommended endlers as a possible choice for my 7 gallon cube tank. What would a suitable number be for a school in that setting? And do you absolutely need females in the tank or can males cohabitate peacefully?

Have you found a home for the musk turtles yet? If your still looking for a home let me know.
Me too. Think I've found something similar at turtle source.
I’ve been looking for endlers and fancy guppies. What’s up with no females for sale anywhere?
I love endlers and I have large stock of n class blue stars
I have one male lime green tiger looking one I’d like to have many more
I believe blue stars are hybrids and would be classified as k class. I love them as well, have staeck endlers and el silverado endlers over here
Never mind, I'm wrong they are indeed a n class strain, there's so many it's hard to keep track lol
John Schneider I don’t know they were sold to me as N by someone I trust but no expert
I looked them up on line and blue star that LRB sells are the only one close to the look of mine
John Schneider not a problem if they weren’t I’d love to find out
I bought some guppy endler hybrid and they are so cool
Thanks for sharing.

If i have over 200 guppys in a 100 gallon should males be taken out to keep the ratio or can i leave the 20 extra males
A fish I need to look into
What is that plant called in the goldfish tank? I want to buy one of those
Are endlers the same fish that were sold as "feeder guppies" many years ago?
I have a colony of endlers! What frogs do i get to keep the population down?
Hey Cory, love the channel and your products! I have a question, I recently added three male endlers to my tank of Rainbowfish (Pseudomugil furcatus) and the endlers seem to be tirelessly trying to mate and harass my rainbowfish. Is this normal will they ever stop? lol
Would the fry of the fish make good food for 4 pearl gouramis?
Hi. How about an all male endler 10gal tank? I’d rather not have babies to worry about. Thanks!
Wow. That clip of the black and yellow endler made me realize petsmart sold me 5 endlers claming they were guppies...

Can o have endlers with red cherry shrimp?
What's the difference between which one produces more color and alerts or guppies
If I get a trip to go with my Betta fish in an 8 gallon cube tank will they eat the same food the betta eats?
