Really like the restraint you showed in planting this tank, with a good balance of negative space, and not covering up the beautiful textures of the wood with loads of ferns. Can't wait to see updates in a few months time as the plants grow in!

This was yet another interesting, informative and entertaining video. So much so, that I forgot to drink my coffee until it was cold! Your sponsors should be pleased to know that I buy their products exclusively out of appreciation for sponsoring your channel. I really love Endler's Livebearers, I still remember the first time that I saw them in a shop, they were such impressive little fish. Fish have always fascinated me. I vividly remember seeing my first Kuhli Loach, 64 years ago, and 3000 miles away. I also remember every build that I have watched you create. It is always a pleasure!

I also adore the Endlers. A tank with them exclusively is so pretty! For tiny fish their colors knock me out. I've kept them before, but never in a tank by themselves. It really works though, and I'm looking forward to what offspring you come up with with them. The shrimp are always a favorite of mine too. Really beautiful build, as always, in my opinion. Thanks MD, for another awesome video.

Such cool fish! I remember when i was a young lad in Australia I found a pool in a drainage ditch that was drying up full of them (obviously illegally dumped where they bred like crazy).
I collected tons and tons of them pretty much everyone i knew had an endler tank after that! After that one time I never saw any of them in the wild again (thankfully).

I think this is one of my favorite scapes and fish/shrimp tanks. You left so much more of the wood showing and a lot more space so it's much easier to see all the fish and shrimp and enjoy all the textures. I really hope you keep it trimmed down and thinned out. It's so gorgeous as it is right now.

It seems like there was a little crab in there with the cherry shrimp as well. You can see him at 34:45 to the right of the lighter coloured snail at the top. Also you can see him crawling around on the left side at 35:00. I was wondering if he is supposed to be in there and if that can have any implications for this tank (which turned out beautiful by the way)?

I know it doesn't mean much to MD cuz he has access to millions of shrimp, but for the record Endlers DO predate on shrimp.
I used to have a colony of neo's in my male endler tank and I watched them hoover every baby shrimp ever born.
They will also pick at molting shrimp until they die then all the endlers will treat it as food.

It's a beautiful planted tank, and I love the aqua scape.
Only one thing I definetily wouldn't test in a tank of my own.
The Aqua Essential is possibly ok in a no filter tank... but using it with a filter really destroy much of the bacteria flora you want.
You want the nitrification cycle bacteria in a no filter tank too, so I personally only ever use water treatment that take care of chlorid and heavy metal, not bacteria food.
Should I really need to reduce ammonia, nirate or nitrite, I do a water change, which let the bacteria catch up rather than being starved to death.

Looks amazing! Do the fish and shrimp not need any surface agitation/ oxygen bubbles? Also how often do you feed?

The tank looks great (as usual). I love endlers, only downside is the rate in which they breed. start with 5, end up with 50 in a few months. and these fish don't stop when the tank is full unfortunately. 😄

Any advice on a good medium grain sand? Everything in finding is super fine grain. I love your videos, long time lurker 😅😅

Did the little crab 35:05 and caridina crystal red shrimp 34:24 make it in the tank? I wasn't able to spot them when you released the bunch

Aqua essential is my holy grail api product honestly. I think it is even better than Sechem Prime

After watching, I think ALL your videos, I have bought my first tank. A heavily planted 94 litre tank for my desk :). I'm aiming for the shrimp (cherries and ghost), cory catfish and betta fish (If the Betta doesn't go all murder hobo).

I just need to know...what is the maintenance like on these tanks? Are we doing water changes? How often? Gravel vac? What does this look like to the person who does the norm.

Can you list the pond soil and top soil products you used. I'd like to know more about this type of mix. Maybe you can do a short video on just that. Thanks!

Genuine question. If the beneficial bacteria shouldn't go into the tank prior to adding fish so they have a food source (the fish's waste) what feeds the bacteria when it is still in the bottle?
