- Explore Nova Scotia on BMW motorcycles! Trippin’ on Two Wheels is a documentary series about motorcycle touring in spectacular locations around the world. The programs take you along with television personality, Dennis Gage, his teenage son, Sam, and motorcycle photojournalist, Neale Bayly, and his son, Patrick, as they ride throughout Europe and North America on the latest motorcycles and let you look in on their experiences. The series also chronicles Sam’s coming of age from a mere passenger on the back of his dad’s bike to riding world-class machines of his own.
The four-day rides are loosely structured and the routes taken focus on back roads and out-of-the-way places rather than typical tourist destinations. Unforeseen circumstances often present some interesting challenges along the way. Episodes have been shot in Scotland, Sicily, Spain, Quebec, Italy/Switzerland, USA and Nova Scotia.
Special Thanks: Nova Scotia Tourism Agency, Destination Halifax, Destination Cape Breton, BMW Motorcycles, Lord Nelson Hotel, Pictou Lodge, Island Sunset Resort, Keltic Lodge, Silver Dart Lodge.

Welcome to my backyard. Great roads for bikers. You captured it marvellously. Nailed it on the wind. I have a light bike and I’ve been wishing that I had a bike like yours more than once. I got caught in a crosswind out of Truro to Halifax once that was so strong that I was leaning 10 degrees into for an hour. I always check the winds now before heading out
Hi. I’m in Nova Scotia and travelled to all of these places. I also found dozens of curvy roads out of Halifax . I have close to.300’000 miles on BMW Bikes mostly in Nova Scotia. Keep the rubber side down. Also rode with John Herman in Europe on a Beach Tour.

More Trippin on Two Wheels, PLEASE. 🏍
I can't believe you came up here to Nova Scotia where i live! This place is a low key paradise! I moved from the city to here 10 years ago! I love it! And one of my favourite shows was up here! Come back anytime! Dennis the man with the stach! Thanks always for the great shows!
Thanks man. I love Nova Scotia!
"This place is a low key paradise!" LOL as someone who has lived here for 30 years, all I can say is you are nuts if you think that.
Great show guys and by the way that ferry and the little river is approximately 93 feet deep at high tide...Come on back anytime...
Great video Dennis.
It's a shame we missed you (BMW Owners of Nova Scotia - BMWONS).
During the riding season we meet every Thursday evening at the Chicken Burger in Bedford. It is Canada's oldest running drive-in restaurant and right up your alley.
Every year we also do our Annual Fall Colours Ride around the Cabot Trail. Last year we had a couple from Belgium cap off their 9-month circumnavigation of North America by joining us for the ride on their two BMW GS bikes. Over the winter they rebuilt two Airhead GS bikes, have just sold their house in Belgium, and are getting ready to start a 5-Year ride on the Airheads, starting with South America.
Drop me a line if you're coming back, I guarantee you'll be truly amazed at the hidden gems we have here.
You were talking about posting the series, glad you did, I want to see the Sicily trip again.
i love dennis man i wish i can meet him oneday
What a great show, thanks for posting. With today being the first official day of winter it was nice to see Nova Scotia in the full green beauty of summertime.
Those were some great riding roads. Very fun trip.
There's an identical ferry crosses Lake Diefenbaker in Saskatchewan. That came as a big surprise.
Thanks for the great comments. You have no idea how much fun these episodes are. If you would like to see more of my motorcycle stuff, here's the link.

Awesome video and a great adventure thanks for sharing
Wonderful video glad you all enjoyed Nova Scotia. we did the down east tour a few years ago, OK we took six weeks, needed six months. Glad you got to Meat Cove but come on lads three bikes, we got our twenty one foot Pleasure way RV up to the camp ground and parked on the cliff edge about 200 feet above the ocean. Alas we where there a week before the Crab Shack opened. So we have to go back. Hope you all got a sample of the fine product of Glenora Distillery, mine's all gone another reason to return. Come back any time.
Wow, I had forgotten about this! Great to see it here. :)
Did this trip on a Ural (my Avatar actually is from that trip) with my wife and our son. Great place! Good trip! Hope you stopped by the Yellow Sidecar!

Love it! I wanna do this same trip!!
It was awesome!
@@MyClassicCarTV Quick ques: Is there a breakdown of this trip anywhere?
I’m pretty sure Neale Bayly chronicled this for a number of publications. If you Google him, they’ll probably show up.
You guys should do more motorcycle review
What’s with the speedo and tachometer not working on the one bike.
Gee, my K1200LT had reverse...so do my Urals! It's really handy!
Here are the words to check out the artists on you tube
Farewell to Nova Scotia
[chorus]
Farewell to Nova Scotia, the sea-bound coast,
Let your mountains dark and dreary be
When I'm far away, on the briny ocean tossed,
Will you ever heave a sigh or a wish for me?
The sun was setting in the West
The birds were singing on every tree
All nature seemed to be at rest
But, alas, there was no rest for me.
I grieve to leave my native home
I grieve to leave my comrades all
And my parents whom I hold so dear
And the bonny, bonny lass that I do adore.
I grieve to leave my native home
I grieve to leave my comrades all
And my parents whom I hold so dear
And the bonny, bonny lass that I do adore.
The drums do beat and the horns do alarm
My captain calls; I must obey
Farewell, farewell, to Nova Scotia's…
PRO Video!

That episode will be posted Jan 18.
2020 bike season completely cancelled due to the covid virus. Not a necessity. Can't even transport a weeks groceries. NO PLEASURE DRIVING. Sad but true. Hopefully next season 2021 will be on the road again.
Where is the wheeling Walla Walla weekend video?
