i bought an oral b genius 8000, its my first time charging/using the brush and i noticed that the battery doesnt really hold a charge turn it on for 30 seconds, boom 3% gone is this normal? do i need to charge it overnight?

You need to give it a good long charge to start with. Overnight for sure. You should get about 2 weeks on a full charge.
