    Really good video because I like how you showed research papers for each of the 3 general conclusions. Rather than just depending on your credentials. Also, I agree that you would have a hard time messing up choosing one or the other and it’s really down to preference and what you will be using often. I guess technique and frequency of brushing plays a larger role in oral hygiene than fancy Bluetooth connectivity.
    With proper technique you’d do really well with a simple, old manual toothbrush with all the technological improvements we take for granted in those ubiquitous dental implements.
    Lastly, I like how you went right to the topic being discussed.

    Perfect, this is exactly what I was looking for. I'm using a dirt cheap Watsons oscillating brush (MYR 35, about 600 rupees) and was wondering about the Realme N1 at the same price. Like you, I feel like the oscillating one would work better since, well, the oscillating bristles physically move further (~2mm?) than the vibrating bristles (~1mm? less?). But at this price I suppose I could just try it. Good to know that the science is split on this, didn't know they even did studies on this lol. Anyway. Thanks for the video.

      @AribDeshmukh  2 года назад +2

      Hi Michael, thank you for sharing your experiences.We don't get Watsons brushes here in India. 😅
      Realme N1 is a very good starter toothbrush. Very convenient too because of having a nice design and usb C charging at such an affordable pricing ! ☺️

      I have both and prefer the round oscillating one to use with non-foamy fluoride toothpaste like Parodontax. I have both the rechargeable Oral B Vitality, an older more expensive Oral B Pro and the 2 batteries operated Oral B All of them works the same way.. so the only thing you need is different heads. I personally prefer the battery operated. The oscillating ones are best for teeth at the back and yes they do feel super clean afterwards. I switch between normal toothbrushes and Oral B and can confirm that Oral B feels 500% cleaner so go ahesd buy the cheapest but get variety of replacement heads

    I have an Oral B brush that looks like the one in your review. Mine was fine when new but after a few years the mechanism became rattly and the battery life diminished worse than an old iphone. I have a more expensive Oral B brush too with charging lights which lasted much longer but I think they don't represent good value for money. It would be really helpful if manufacturers of rechargable devices were forced to allow customers to replace the batteries once they are beyond their peak. It is utterly shameful that we throw away so many rechargeable items just because the batteries die. As more and more items become cordless we are going to end up with a mountain of devices that only have a problem with the battery.

    I am back to oral-b but the cheapest version using AA sized batteries (but I made a hack to make it use lithium ion). The sonic/vibrating tootbrushes die easily due to water damage or motor dying. The Oral-b has big motors and I don't remember those dying, only water ingress but those are very old models-earliest models of the oral b electric.

    Ppl don’t understand that battery powered spin brushes and sonic brushes are not the same thing. It’s the difference between a blackberry phone and a brand new iPhone. The sonic brushes vibrate at the speed of sound and the battery powered ones just spin around slowly. With my sonic brush I feel like I’ve gotten the dentist cleaning after every brush. I couldn’t go back to a battery brush for a million because Do you still get that rough feeling of the plaque remaining when you run your tongue over your teeth at the end of your brushing session

    Thank for the video, but to be honest it did not answer and in both videos and comments to each of us, you are suggesting both. You are using Sonic for an year but you also say Oral cleans better
    Can you please help with one option as the best.

    • @AribDeshmukh
      @AribDeshmukh  Год назад +2

      Hey Gouprith..thankyou for your feedback. Oral b cleans marginally better than sonic ones. But in the same cost we get better battery and many more features in sonic toothbrushes in India, which is makes it more value for money according to me. I would suggest go for sonic ones and if you want oscillating ones then go for more expensive oral b ones !!

      I was also wondering Full spinn is one way movement compared to back and forth which is two ways making full spin not effective also full spin will miss the gaps

    • @Locomokipkachelfantje
      @Locomokipkachelfantje 5 месяцев назад

      First: safety. if it would spin, your hair or other tissue would wrap around it. And thus, it would be more likely to hurt the user.
      Second: effectiveness. If it would spin it would only clean in one direction and would thus be less effective.
      Third: Lifespan of the brush-head. If it would spin the hairs on the brush would quickly become bend, when it oscillates it bends the hairs both ways and thus bends them back to somewhat their original shape. (As long as you don't press to hard)
      Soo, spinning toothbrushes wouldn't be a good idea.
