I'm loving the velvet touch Princeton brushes. Hobby Lobby just had them on clearance for almost 90 percent off. I could only find the smaller brushes but I'm totally satisfied. April - 2023

Ellen, I have a dear friend who, with her husband, raises bees and I plan to try this for her. But she also loves Blue Willow china and has a wonderful collection. I'd love to be able to do a picture of a Blue Willow teapot for her as she and I both share a love of tea. I hope maybe one day soon you'll do something like that.Thank you for your beautiful renderings. I have thistles all over my fields and never really thought of them as beautiful!

Love this, reminds me of my growing up in Scotland. Spent many days wandering around the hills, in amongst all the flora. There were also lots of wild foxgloves along with the heather. Had lots of fun climbing over the stone walls that were boundaries for the fields, and often went home with scuffed up knees. Thanks for the fun memories!!

Ellen, this is gorgeous. I love thistle and the fatness of the bumblebees makes them look so cute. Thank you for taking the time to try and show us how to do this ourselves. @@OhJodi69 ha! I’m from South Africa originally. I imagined that I’d see burly men in kilts everywhere when I arrived, sadly not the case. I did see one elderly gentleman displaying a pair of knobby knees tho! Apparently I need to go further north to find the outlander guys! Haha
Two of my favorites - thistles because we’re Scottish and who doesn’t like bees? I love this. I prefer just the one bee- looks more balanced compositional. So much fun!

You need to wear your mic on your left side so your clothes won't hit it every time you move your arm. I really love this tutorial, the bee is so cute and you made it look so doable! The finished painting reminds me of summer!

Just finished this one and it turned out well. I really enjoyed painting this. I was a little concerned that my bees weren’t going to turn out very well but they turned out just fine. I just followed your instructions and voila. Thank you for this fun tutorial.

Hi Ellen, I happened across your watercour bees and was so impressed that I have given it a go. Only I'm in Portugal visiting my daughter, so all I had was a painted roof tile and watercour pencils that paint! It has come out remarkably well, even if I say so myself. Thank you for the inspiration 😀

Love how adorable your bees turned out! Great thistle. I would love to see you do more desert and succulent plants. I just moved to the desert and want to learn to paint desert scenes. I don't see much of that on watercolor tutorials. You are fun to watch!

Just an FYI, I watch on an iPad and there’s no place that says show more but right below where you are painting there is a very small “v” or down arrow which expands to the see more stuff... of coarse it’s not there when you have the full screen mode! Maybe that will help people stop bugging you!! 💕

omg i had to comment again first i would like to say thank you so much for drawing that where i can actually see a lot of videos out there say that they are going to draw it but then its already drawn so light you need a microscope or and enhancer to see it .that right there was so important to me thank you again so cool and so cute 2 thumbs up and a sub and a new student.
